In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

As Rook finally blinked away the last of his muddled vision, the larger man was already on top of him. "Dark Guard!" Rook held his hands up in front of him as a shield of dark energy enveloped him. He stumbled back as it faded, blocking the first attack, but leaving him to the second two followthroughs. He resummoned BlackJack and raised it to stop them, but took all four slashes to the undersides of his lower arms, leaving bleeding wounds in their wake.
Rook let out a pained cry and fell backwards to the ground, his arms shaking and wleaking lifeblood in slow streams. Growling, he raised them, shaking harshly, back at Gilgamesh's frame. "G-gah...Guard Light!"
He fired again to get the creature away from him while he calmed himself. He was lucky the Dark Guard sent him backwards, lest he would have lost both arms in the attack.
'Blood! Yes, a hit!' was what Gilgamesh was thinking at the time, though, that distracted him for a second. He was quite easily distracted, to be honest, it was one of his (many) flaws. Although it was only a second, it was a vital one. Gilgamesh was struck with Rook's 'Guard Light' attack in that instant. But, he was too close and had just attacked before hand, if he was paying more attention, there wasn't much he could have done anyway.
Gilgamesh took the full force of the light to his chest; even with his physical strength and weight, he was knocked back from the attack. He couldn't help but stumble from it, tripping over his own feet until he fell over as well. Hitting the ground with quite a thud, Gilgamesh groaned, more out of irritation than pain though.
He wriggled a little before sitting up with his lowest two hands to support himself, open palmed but still over his katanas handles. Gilgamesh would have loved to get up and make it look as though the Guard Light had done nothing, but the truth was, he was finding it a little hard to breath right now...
Rook winced. A direct hit. But that was his intent, and not on the top of his priority list. He scrambled backwards and climbed to his feet with the assistance of the invisible wall that made up the barrier surrounding the arena. His arms were still shaking, and he could feel blood dripping from his fingers. He couldn't feel much more than the pain, and wasn't sure how deep the cuts went and there was certainly no time to assess the damage now...
Steadying breaths helped to overcome the sensation of passing out and he summoned the BlackJack again in his off-hand, opening a dark portal behind him, and turning away as Gilgamesh sat up. Rook disappeared through it... running away?
Hardly. The end-portal opened right behind Gilgamesh and Rook lunged from it, stabbing out from the darkness at his opponent.
The only thing that made Gilgamesh think that Rook was not giving up was the fact that he re-summoned his Keyblade. If he was truly leaving, why would he need a weapon in hand...? That was Gilgamesh's thinking and that was why he was still a little on edge at the time. Being familiar with portals, he knew that the red-head could re-emerge anywhere. He looked around left and right, then turned his head to look behind... too late!
Rook was behind him already, thrusting his Keyblade forward. As a natural reaction more than anything else, Gilgamesh tried to evade even though he knew he wouldn't make it. He leaned to the side in an effort to get out of the way, but the tip of BlackJacks bladepierced Gilgamesh's skin and stabbed into his flesh just below the colar bone from behind. Luckily, the point of Rook's weapon was not very long before the side of the Keyblades 'teeth' stopped it from going any further. Great another wound to his top-left shoulder - one on the front, one on the back. Though, this one was a little worse. But bearable...
Trying to ignore the pain, and the trickling down his back, Gilgamesh reached over his left shoulder with his top-right hand. The katana that was once in it had gone in an instant and was left with a free hand ready to grab hold of Rook's arm. That appeared to be the current weakspot, a tight grip on that would be unbearably painful. Though grabbing it wouldn't be enough, Gilgamesh planned to pull his opponent over his shoulder and slam him to the ground in front of him...
Contact. Rook made a successful hit on the behemoth... well, not as successful as he would have liked, but a good hit nonetheless. But as he drew back his bladearm, one of Gilgamesh's many limbs grabbed it and pulled him in and upwards and onto his shoulder. Upwards he went and it felt like he was yards from the ground now.
Rook let out a startled cry as he resummoned the blade in his off hand and jabbed the tip against the blue giant's stomach. He tried striking repeatedly searching to cause as much harm to his opponents torso as possible, but missed stronger strikes on more than a few attempts. If only Eden had tought him how to write with both hands...
Rook kicked his feet in defiance, he was certianly in a precarious position. He gritted his teeth and snarled. Whether he hit the ground or was landed atop of, it was going to hurt from this far up.
With Rook's weapon jumping to his left hand, Gilgamesh flinched as he recieved a cut to the chest. With his opponent swinging wildly, he hadn't connected fully, it was a scratch; it drew blood and stung a bit, but it wasn't too bad. However, Gilgamesh put an end to that as quick as possible...
The six-armed monster reached out with his top-left arm this time, even though it pained his shoulder to move it. He did the same as before, grabbing for Rook's forearm with a speed and a very tight grip. Once grabbed, Gilgamesh planned to swing Rook round to his front and hold him there in front of himself. He would even take grasp of his foe's legs if he continued to resist. But the thing was, Gilgamesh out numbered Rook's limbs and was most definately going to take advantage of that fact...
Rook let out a yelp as he was yanked to bare in front of Gilgamesh's large frame. It wasn't hard to see that any of his other limbs could grab his legs and quarter him, so Rook acted quickly. He tucked his legs to his chest and sprung outward, kicking his foe with all the strength he could right in his face.
Rebounding with the impact, he kicked away from him, pulling his legs up and over his head. With any luck, the sudden change in both his and his opponent's direction would allow him to break free of the hold he was in... and if not, he was probably looking at his shoulder popping out of socket. And that would hurt.
All of Gilgamesh's hands were now free of weapons, they had vanished in thick smoke just as quick as they arrived. With his mid-hands, the behemoth pulled his hands up to cover his face from the kick. He would have liked to grab hold of his legs, yet, with the power of his kick it would have been impossible. Gilgamesh had hard enough a time keeping on his feet with the impact; He took a step or two back to absorb it and so that his hands were not just slammed into his face.
But with Rook twisting around, Gilgamesh allowed him flip around. All he did was loosen his grip so that his arms would spin within his grasp, and as soon as he completed the full rotation, Gilgamesh tightened his grip again. This way, he would finish his twizzle and then stop. Obviously, there would be a bit of swing as he came to a stop. But, Gilgamesh wasn't interested in that. As Rook came back round, he began throwing punches with his other four empy hands. The hits came seemingly continuosly - four large fists flying at the Keyblade Wielder at various targets on his body. Rib shots, shoulder pounding, gut punches, chest smacks...
The hits rebounded off of Rook's body with hard thumps, but the swing was enough for him to make a retaliatory effort. He opened two dark portals below him and swung his leg outwards, flinging his foot hard into the first one. The second opened in front of Gilgamesh's waist... and Rook's foot impacted with the large blue creatures groin.
Rook was not one to use such underhanded tactics... but desperate times mean desperate measures... He wriggled against the grip, hoping he would find release from the creature's grasp.
Portals. Gilgamesh would love to say that he hated them, but he used them all the time. Just, not like that. But, it did give him quite a good idea...
Gilgamesh took the kick to the groin and immediately stopped punching. All four of his spare hands shot to his pain naturally. And, he couldn't just keep his other hands up holding the little red haired combatant. Those portals of his could get annoying. It was time that he got a taste of his own medicine, so to speak. Gilgamesh couldn't help but arch his back as he bent forward a little with severe pain down below as he tossed Rook aside. But not onto the floor, no, into the Void.
Rook would have no idea where he was going. This was like no other portal, this wasn't darkness like his own, or nothingness, but something else entirely - a rift between worlds. All he could do was follow its path, a path laid out by Gilgamesh. One that led him back out not too far from where he entered, however, Gilgamesh was ready for him. He swung three swords all at once spread across the exit portal; the Buster Sword at the top, Masamune in the center, and Zantetsuken at the bottom. How would Rook evade an attack that he had no idea was coming as he spat out of the Void...?
