In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Gilgamesh was right, and the move was executed perfectly. The giant could reach his foe, whilst his foe couldn't reach him. All appeared well...
"Dark Guard!"
What!? Gilgamesh thought the kid's phrase was 'guard light'? This time though, it was a defensive move. Gilgamesh's weapons didn't hit Rook as such, but a blanket of darkness that surrounded him. Still, the behemoth continued with the attack. He put his full strength into the swing of his two swords, following through with the attack. Although it left no cuts, Rook must have felt something as he was smacked back into the air.
"GUARD LIGHT!"
No! Not again! What could Gilgamesh do to stop it? Two hands on the floor to keep him upright, two swung out to the side, and two left. He pulled them up in a blink of an eye and held out his blades parallel to one another, horizontally between him and the beam of light shooting towards him. He held them with the flat of the blade towards the light in an attempt to block as much of the light as possible...
But it was no use! He did managed to sustain the defense for a second, but the light broke through, forcefully smashing him in the chest. With the impact, Gilgamesh was knocked down again, lying flat on his back. His knees were obliterated and pretty much the whole of his body was aching, not to mention the pain the his twice stabbed shoulder was in. He was definately not in good shape. A normal man would give up now. But Gilgamesh, well, he was far from normal.
Pulling himself up with all his strength, but mostly just determination, Gilgamesh got back to his feet. Though, each and every movement came with a groan. And, as he stood there, his knees shook like a nervous young child, they couldn't support his weight propery. It looked as though the could collapse at any moment. Yet, Gilgamesh tried to ignore the excruciating pain that wracked his legs as he took a step forward. And another. He slowly began to pick up a little pace so that he was almost walking normally, aside from the complete lack of sturdiness and balance.
Slowly advancing on Rook's landing position, Gilgamesh's six-handed grip tightened around a familiar set of identical katanas. He had used them previously in the fight, in fact, he must have used almost all of his collection at least once. He couldn't really keep track with the change for almost every attack during this particular fight. He didn't let that blind his mind, he needed to focus. This attack could be the turning point in the match; whether it be in Rook's favour, or his own...
It was time. The monster of a man made his move. Obviously, owning six arms, he used them all as a combo attack rather than one singular move. The attack began with Gilgamesh's top and bottom arms all swinging across one another in an attempt to strike Rook's lower and upper body at once, whilst his middle arms thrusted forward for a stab. The second step needn't have the first succeed as he would pull all his blades back across horizontally so that they would be back at his sides. This meant that if he were to stab Rook, he would pull his blade out of his sides, or if he missed, they would swing out with the rest...
((Wait, so did Gilgamesh do all this while Rook was still in the air, IE "Slowly advancing on Rook's landing position"? Or is it assumed he landed? Cause if the former, it's a lot for a near-cripple to be doing in the short time it takes a body to fall to the earth.))
( ooc: Oh, sorry, I guess I forgot to add that in. Yeah, I assumed Rook landed. Gilgamesh advanced as Rook would land, and began his attack directly after. If you had anything else in mind, different to landing, it's fine and makes an easy evasion for your character... )

Rook landed, balancing himself with a hand to the ground to stabalize. For a moment, he took the time to breath slowly and recompose. He certainly seemed to have a knack for finding himself in some pretty epic scraps, it seemed. If not the entire Restoration Committee, it was the Dark XII, or another human-formed Nobody. Now, this blue brute. It was only a matter of short time before his luck in escaping from them alive ran out.
Taking a final inhale, and huffing it outwards, he raised his head to his opponent, now shockingly back to his feet. Man... this guy is commendable... bet he and I could take out an army together, if things were different... Resummoning Blackjack, he braced his defensive measures as Gilgamesh came at him, six swords swinging strong. "Dark G--!"
Not fast enough, it seemed. In one scared second, he hesitated, bringing BlackJack to bare, and bracing against the lower of the two sets of swinging blades and ducking slightly to avoid the top set. The impact disarmed him, sending BlackJack clattering to the floor with authority. With a wince, Rook caught both blades just inward of the shoulders, pincing into him like snakebites that more than necessitated a yelp of pain as the then slashed outwards, opening up heavy wounds on either side of his shoulderjoints.
His lip quivered as he tried to ease the shock. Thank god for that short breather he had took, or he wouldn't have the composure to hold on. he couldn't bare to look at what damage was done, and assumed the worst he could in his head, but trying not to picture it.
One chance... in the last parry of his attack, Gilgamesh left his arms at his sides. An opening if Rook ever saw one. Using his planted feet, he kicked forward, the light of the Guard Light balling in his fist.
"Hkh... Five-Card Stud! Jacks or better to open..!" The energy wrapped around his fist, glowing heavily as he kicked upwards with an uppercut aimed at his unguarded jaw. The power of the Guard Light without the flash, compressed into melee. Rook could only hope for a TKO at this point, he doubted it was going to last for either of them much longer one way or another.
He'd cross his fingers if he could still feel them.

Although the majority of his swords had missed their targets, Gilgamesh felt the steel forcefully stab into Rook's shoulders. With an anamilistic roar, he pulled the blades out at the sides with a ferocious tug. And, even though it was a more than satisfactory attack, he had left himself way too open for a counter-attack. Perhaps he should have planned a little further ahead...
His whole body was wracked with injuries from stabs, to bruising, to severe aches and pains. With all this, he couldn't move quick enough to evade the inevitable counter-hit. Gilgamesh's legs would have collapsed underneath him if he tried to step quickly anyway. So, taking the full force of Rook's strike, the monsterous combatant was knocked off of his feet. Literally. He was hit into the air a couple of inches even with his weight and fell straight down back first with a huge crash. But, the most notable part of all this was the loud crunching sound upon impact. There was no way anyone could have missed it; Gilgamesh's jaw sounded as though it had crumbled apart. Even a few of his teeth had cracked when they smacked together and blood trickled from his gums.
Gilgamesh was left laid out flat on the floor... Again. His katanas were left laid beside his hands rather than in them. His mouth twitched a few times before he coughed as he almost choked on his own blood. It was probably this that stopped him from passing out. He had to pull himself up enough to hold himself up by his elbow so that he could turn his head to the side and spit out a mouth full of his own blood. The darkness that was covering his sight slowly faded away as he was slowly brought back to the Underworld. Gilgamesh's right hands scuttled around across the floor a little until he got hold of a couple of his swords; he pulled them up so that he would have some sort of defense for the follow-up attack that he imagined Rook would have coming next...
(I'm going to go ahead and call this match. I've played some scenarios in my head and I don't see Gilgamesh winning this. Plus, I don't think you would want him to die anyway. Me and you already talked about reviving him and you said no to the deal, so I'm going to allow him to live)
Hades looked around and saw that the crowd was getting restless, it seemed even dead people can get bored of a fight. With Rook landing the most damaging hits and Gilgamesh only being a useless rag doll at this point....
"All righty then! We have a WINNER!!. Congratulations Rook....you kicked the snot out of this bug brute. But can you do the exact same thing in the next rounds?" Hades chuckled and with a snap of his fingers both Rook and Gilgamesh were taken to the waiting room. With only Rook moving on.
((Actually, the ":/" was in reference to the match ending like such. I'd much rather fight Ikari if she makes it onwards, but beggars can't be choosers. Between the two Heartless, I'd rather have Relena. Too much Lexaeus/Eleaus is bad for my health.))
