In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A scratch? She wanted something more. It didn't matter who her opponent was, what Sage wanted was heavy damage to them. She got pride in harming her opponent and in her eyes all strength was equal. Throwing her body weight backward she shifted yet again. An attack was coming it seemed. Needing to block it she wrapped her fingers around either side of the weapon and pressed the blunt side of the blade against her palm. Poison smudged onto her right hand and she felt the coolness of it across the skin. As long as a wound was not opened on her palm she would be good.
The chakrams came at her in a flurry of flames and she grunted as they momentarily hit her blade forcefully and returned back to Axel. She was sent back a couple feet and wiped the sweat from her forehead. Her hands felt like they were on fire and Sage noticed blisters forming on them. Damn that Axel, he was still making marks on her while going easy. She raced forward knowing that he was more used to straight-on attacks, he would probably be ready for just about anything now.
She slid on the ground, the blue on her jeans now turning a muddy brown as she swung the blade for his legs. He would probably quickly dodge and she would be able to push off the wall behind him and send herself toward him yet again. But instead of repeating the same attack twice she would have to try and preform a move that she had only witnessed the professionals execute.
Some fancy footwork saved him from dealing with serious gashes across his legs, but it came at the cost. The sting of smaller slices bit into his legs as he shuffled around that weapon. By now, it was a blade most people would've regretted giving to her, but for the Flurry it just fanned the flames of his ego.
The Nobody spun around as her momentum shoved her past, and he crouched into a low position, almost as if to sit. But for one to assume this position meant a slow reaction could be a fatal mistake. On the contrary, this position allowed him to spring to any corner of his fighting ring in a second's time... The look was meant to be deceiving.
A red and silver wheel rested to either side of him as he calculated, watched and waited. Like a strategic game of chess, her next move would determine his.

Just a expected he moved out of the way and left open the wall for her to bounce back off. She set to soles of her shoes on the wall, bent her knees, and shoved back off. She had to turn to look over her shoulder and saw Axel crouching. Sage didn't really expect him to give her such an opening. Nevertheless she couldn't change her mind at the last second and had to give her plan a try. She set her palms on the ground and felt the blisters tear open as she slid forward a bit more. Then she kicked up her legs and pushed off the ground watching as the momentum she had built up caused her to begin to flip over Axel. The hilt of her katana was covered by both hands and thrusted down when she was looking straight down at Axel. She couldn't wait to see what he would do next.
((Basically she's shoving the blade at him when she's directly overhead))
Even with his heightened speed and sensory, it was difficult to keep sight of this girl. She was small, but she was quick. He caught that she'd sprung off the wall, but the rim of one of his Chakrams covered where she'd moved to. Left? No. Right? No. Up? Holy CRAP yes! And she was coming down fast, that blade aimed for his head.
One weapon slapped flat against the ground. His body practically hugged the pavement as he rolled to the side to avoid a direct hit. When fighting, one attack deserved another... but for the moment, he'd seen what he wanted to see. Aside from Novelty's sake, there was no point in dragging the fight on any longer.
Picking himself up, he released his Chakrams, allowing them to disappear in a flurry of silvery sparks. His hands now free, he clapped them. Apparently that meant he was pleased. "Good job!" without his weapons he was wary, knowing full well he left himself an open target. If she didn't want to be done just yet, the fight would get ugly fast.

The blade hit the ground and slid sideways as it could not pierce the stone floor. Sage lost her balance and fell onto a side as the wind was knocked out of her. Slowly she stood up, grimacing as she rubbed her bruised side in the process. Knees bent she picked up her weapon from the ground and let it hang limply in her hand. His weapons were gone and she was breathing heavily. Of course a person like him was going easy but she had been doing pretty well against him. The only way she was going to get better was to learn how to use her weapon correctly and to get stronger.
On his side was strength and power but on her side was speed and stamina, wait... didn't he have those too? Wits maybe? There was certainly a lot of things that she was lacking at and that many of her future opponents would have. "So I guess I won this round, huh?"[/color] she smirked and dragged the blade of her katana across the ground just to remind him that there were more rounds to come and she was ready whenever he was.
But before they moved on to Round Two she wanted to ask him a question, if he allowed her to have the victory for this round. If he didn't then she would be taking the open shot he was giving her and try her best to win it. She didn't need any more injuries and would take any cheap shots given to her right away. But of course it was all determined by Axel's answer. Did she get the win for this match or didn't she?
This round? He hadn't really expected to run this match by rounds. If that's how Sage wanted to calculate, then while she had good form and attacks, Axel's dodges, in addition to the fact he wasn't going all-out, meant that they'd be left at a tie to say the least. But, why not humor her a little?
"Uh... Sure." He'd make sure to win the next bout to keep it even.

"You sound unsure. Look, I'm not an idiot, quit holding back and actually try. I'm going to have to fight people like you someday, do you think they're just going to go easy on me? Please tell me that you're not that big of an idiot that you'd say yes."
She smirked. Even if he went full power on her and even if he won, she got to ask a question. Hopefully he wasn't too hard-headed and didn't answer. Then again, he seemed to be very full of himself, so maybe to get what she wanted all she had to do was praise him and then ask the question. Cheap tactics weren't the best thing to do, but it got Sage were she wanted to be.
"So, I believe I get to ask you a question, Axel. Human, Heartless, Vampire, just what are you?"
So much for praising and sucking up to him. She folded her arms over her chest and gave the redhead a serious look. If he denied answering the question she was considering throwing the katana at him and saying forget it to this little deal. Then again, she didn't really know her way around this place underground and she needed a weapon. It would be good if this guy wasn't stupid, but not smart enough that he had figured that part out already. Honestly, Sage was not in the position to be demanding things at the moment. But it was what she did best, taking command of something when she had everything to lose.

That was it? Out of anything at all she could ask him, she wanted to know his species? Ah well, an answer was an answer. The blunt side of the Chakram resting over his shoulder tapped a few times. His obnoxious side wanted to give in to the third option just to spite her, but a wiser thought kept him from it. If he wanted her on his side, he would have to bait her with an ounce of respect. A haughty snicker slipped from his mouth. "Why, I'm the only race you haven't guessed yet! Don't we Nobodies merit any respect?" It was a dry joke, sure. But hey, hopefully it was enough to catch her off guard.
While running off a little at the mouth, he'd already decided to heed her request. Without warning he sprung forward, using his momentum for a decent forward-lunge. He analyzed, aimed, and gave one Chakram a steady swing. The second was held back in case he'd need a close-quarters defense.
She wanted him to fight with more zeal? Oh, he could do that.

She blinked slowly, drinking in his movement. Nobody, he expected the answer to catch her off-guard? Well, it was true she'd never exactly heard of such a thing before, a human species called Nobody. But wait, it was also that thing he summoned before, that was a Nobody. That odd creature, did he order it around like a general to his soldiers? It only made sense.
He was coming at her now and this time she took her time to stop and slow down his motions. He swung at her and she brought her katana up to block it. She was pushed back slightly by the force of his swing and dug her heels into the ground. She held her ground and made no sound. This fight would not be like the others, she would try a new method. Instead of bringing her fury forward and fighting with that, she would take her time and see how the battle worked out.
The sudden pause in momentum as her Katana slammed down onto the rim of his Chakram would force the Nobody into a simple sideways roll in an attempt to shove the blade out of the way. His roll would theoretically land him directly behind her. From here, he leapt into the air, arms releasing his weapons, which he promptly coated in flames.
"BURN!" The spiked wheels danced, pummeling one after the other toward their target in a series of hasty assaults. This attack had been effective on Roxas. It even blasted him back a couple of feet. But this young lady was most certainly not his blonde-haired buddy. He'd have to remember that, analyze the particular person, and attack accordingly. After all, the flow of this battle depended highly on not only outwitting, but out-speeding the opponent.
While he had no intent to kill his pawn, he would make her earn her weapon. And she was completely right. No Heartless that she'd find out on the streets was going to give her an easy time. He was planning on working up to a harsh battle, but his trainee was asking for it now. And when it came to battles, Axel wasn't often one to say no.

"BURN!"
The words made Sage smile, she had an idea and hoped that it would work. She grabbed the sling that was originally holding up her dislocated shoulder and quickly wrapped it around her right hand. Then she ran her hand down the blade of her katana and watched the cloth soak up the poison. Then she looked forward at the chakrams coming at her and in a flash took the cloth off around her hand and threw it at the flames. With any luck, the poison she was using for her blade was flammable and would fire back at Axel.
In the meaning time, she dove forward to the ground, feeling fire brush against the back of her vest, an intense heat that made her instantly sweat. If she got hit by the fire or the chakram she didn't know, all she wanted to know was if Axel got hit. She wasn't about to use her fox form yet, if the fire was still going then her fur would be one of the first things to burn. Not to mention that she would have to worry about her tail, so she stayed put on the ground, waiting for the moment to move away from danger.
Sage's attack worked as expected. The poison shot flames back toward Axel, who blinked his eyes shut as his warm element came barreling back toward him. When they had passed his face, the Nobody could only give a smirk and open his eyes again. The only problem was that they were more of a comfort than an attack. She was throwing his element right back at him -- to which he was immune. But, she got a point for creativity. The fire-throwing would've worked in a normal fight.
He was impressed by her quick thinking, but he'd have to keep the thought to himself. She wanted a challenge, and that was exactly what she was going to get.
His hands opened up to receive his loyal weapons, and he jumped forward. With his body angled to the side, one Chakram wheeled toward her, then bounced back to him. The next move mirrored it in a deadly dance.
(As always, if a move doesn't make sense, ask me for clarification. I have a video reference for a lot of the moves he uses.)
She sprung back up, feeling the pain from the burns on her back and grabbed her katana. Quickly she pulled it up, though not pulling up the sword fast enough to have time to get in the correct blocking stance. The force of the chakram on her blade pushed her back across the floor. The second chakram pushed at an angle, making her bend her knees, a dangerous move. If Axel fired that same attack then she would definitely be on the ground, after having her knees give out from under her. She hoped that for now he would be too focused on other things to notice.
Axel wasn't known for being readable. He liked to make spontaneous moves: whatever was best for the situation. And in a normal battle, it would've been the time to try something new.
Blinking out, he appeared about ten feet away from the girl. Flames shot up from about three different focus points around her, brightening the immediate vicinity and darkening their master's silhouette. Danger edged the Flurry voice. "Defend yourself like your life depends on it!" What he meant by this was that she needed to be aggressive on her defense. Sitting dormant for long periods of time would lead her on the road to destruction.

It was like a horror movie that all at once slowed down. The pillars of flames shooting up around her, the looming silhouette of Axel, and suddenly each second felt like 10. They ticked by slowly and the words he yelled to her burned like acid. "Defend yourself like your life depends on it!" It was true, she needed to defend herself, she would not hide in the shadows any longer. She locked her knees and pushed her body weight forward as she lashed out with her blade. She struck out at the silhouette knowing fully well she wouldn't hit Axel. The move was like a fox baring its teeth, it was simply a warning.
