In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Max blinked away the familiar spots from his eyes. He really hated the bright lights of the teleportation orb. It didn't give him a headache anymore, but the spots still clouded his vision as much as before.
He blinked and looked around at his surroundings as best he could. He could make out rolling grasslands, with small interspersed groves of trees here and there. The trees seemed windblown and wispy, like they had been buffeted by strong winds their whole lives, but the air here was still, with only the slight breeze every now and then.
Then, he realized something. The ground seemed a little closer than usual. Was it his imagination?
He peered down at it intensely. It definitely was closer. That meant he was shorter. But how? Then, he realized a few other things. First off, his hands were on the ground, helping support some on his weight. Second, he was standing with a slight sloop in his posture, which was normally rather good.
Then, he looked down and saw his feet, not covered by his travelers' boots, like usual. No, This time his feet looked......like hands! Max stood there, staring at his feet for a few minutes, and then looked down at the rest of his body. It was covered in a bluish black fur. He quickly felt around for his sword, and pulled it out, looking into the reflective surface of the blade, the face of a babboon looking back at him.
He just looked for a few moments and then screamed,"I'm a monkey?!"

"Where in the world are we?"
The bright light had conducted enough heat to dry Erika's damp hair. She was actually happy that none of the strands fell over her eyes. A hand rubbed her face, but it was too furry for her liking. The gunslinger winced once feeling pain on her cheek; her claws nearly knicked her skin under her fur.
"Ow that nearly hur-" Her eyes widened at her hands, paws. Or were they hands. She could twitched the fingers like a human, grab, and grip things, but they looked like something you would find on a rodent.
I'm a monkey?!
Her ears flattened at the loud shout. She could even feel the floor she stood on to shift with it. Did her ears just flattened agaisnt her skull, like a cat? Shaking the thought, Erika wondered why the floor felt furry and flesh. Crawling down, she was face with the reflection of Max's blade. There she saw it.
Large brown eyes was staring at a bluish babboon, while there was some type of rat laying ontop of its head. Her eye stayed glued on the blade as she moved. When she moved, the rat moved.
Alright let's not freak out. Move a hand In the reflection, she saw a furry paw raise in the air, while seeing the underlinging of scales.
Uuuuuh. Let's not freak out. I must stay calm. Move the other hand.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAH! Dude I think I see a rat, and I think I'm the raaaaaaaaat on a MONKEY!"
Panicking she searched her body and found nothing, but fur. Holding her head, she saw a long membrane connected her arms to her legs. Her teeth chattered together revealing two sharp inscissors and a sharp row behind them. A scailed tail whipped into view. It had a patch of scales, but two raised scales lined the tail.
"NOOOoooooooooooooo I'm a freakin' flying mooooouse with a reptilian tail."
To be exact, she was a long-eared flying mouse or long-eared scaly-tailed flying squirrel. She wasn't squirrel or mouse, but she surely was a rodent, a freakedo out rodent.
Max just looked at himself in the reflection on the sword, his eyes roving up to the rat on his head. So....he was a monkey. No need to freak out. It must have something to do with this world. He'd probably be back to normal when they left.
He watched the rat on his head. That must be Erika. She seemed somewhat distressed, and when she started screaming, she startled Max. He jumped up a little, bumping her into the air. Reacting quickly, he dropped his sword and reached out, grabbing her before she hit the ground and hurt herself.
"E-erika!" he said, still kind of uneasy himself about their transformation,"Come on. T-there's no need to get so upset."
He gave her a big, toothy smile, sharp monkey canines showing. This smile would probably make her feelings towards the transformation worse, but he didn't know this, not knowing what the monkey-smile looked like.

Her squeal sounded like a frightened baby bird as she was bumped into the air. Her arms flailed causing the gliding membrane to stay folded as she fell. With a soft pat, she landed on a leathery hand. Feeling dizzy, she grabbed her head.
"Ow, Son of a Six Legged Salamander," Erika groaned, while ruffling her fur. A small tuft of fur hung forward between her eyes in a curl.
"E-erika! Come on. T-there's no need to get so upset."
"M-Max," atleast his voice was familiar. Looking up, she froze like a deer in headlights seeing the beast in front of her. "Oh Shiznits..," and then there were raisons as she fainted.
Here they are stranded on a world looking like they belonged in a jungle preserve. The fanny pack and pistols on Erika shrank for her size as her little frame twitched in Max's hand. This was going to be a long day in the Pridelands.
Max's eyes widened, his smile fading from his face as Erika fainted. He hadn't meant to scare her! Oh, this wasn't good. He'd never had to deal with someone fainting before. Slipping into unconsciousness from injuries? Yes.
Just fainting? Never before in his life, and he had no clue how to deal with it! He just kind of stood there, holding Erika's small frame in his hands as she dropped round little brown....things......
By Sira, he knew what that was! It was almost enough to make him drop her, too! He just grimaced and slowly stepped away, holding Erika out at arm's length. What should he do? Maybe splash her with a little water? That might work.
He quickly experimented to see if his powe rworked, and it did, so he gathered a little moisture from the air, and splashed it gently on Erika's mousy face, hoping it would wake her up.

With a squeak, she curled up in a ball feeling the touch of water. An eye peaked open as her tail wrapped around her. Her nose wiggled before sneezing lightly. Her whiskers twitched from the force as her paw rubbed her small nose. The same nose twitched; she sat up to see dark pebbles scattered over the monkey's hand.
"Darn it, I dropped my nuts...well seeds." Standing up, she tried to walk on her hind legs. It was difficult as she wobbled on fours as she picked up the seeds and placed them back in her pouch. "Man I almost have a headache coming."
The rodent sat on the hand that held her up. "Never smile again, ever, as a monkey..." Her tone was serious, but it dropped once getting move view of the desert like grasslands. "Where in the world are we?"

A bird with white breast feathers and the rest black floated down and flapped it's wings several time before landing on a branch. He saw a strange pair of animals, what seemed to be a rodent of some kind and a monkey. More people freaking out about the transformation.
"Where in the world are we?"
"You are in what is known as the Pride Lands, another world but this one has very odd qualities as you've already guessed. I was one of the lucky ones and changed into a bird. Seems you two got the short end of the straw." Lyon chuckled, first time he had been here he freaked out too but he was fine in the end.

The heat, the heat, THE HEAT! He couldn't take it anymore. A soft sigh escaped the lips of a young man, who had been walking through the Pride Lands's famous Savanna. He had visited the area with a lioness before, but that seemed so long ago. The Ring of Transformations could be seen at his right index finger, which prevented him from transforming into a lion and somewhat broke the world's natural order. There was only one problem: Mikael couldn't take it anymore. The Pride Lands were not made for humans, that's why the transformations were supposed to take effect.
He had been walking for several minutes now, and he hadn't found a sign of the friends he made that lived here: Kiara and Simba. Maybe they had gone back to their home, the problem was that he had absolutely no idea of where that home could be. "I can't continue like this..." he said, now fully soaked in sweat. It wasn't a pretty sight... or a pretty smell. And he took off the ring. A bright light immediately surrounded Mikael as the transformation occured as normal. Yay, the emo purple lion was back!
Now, the fire user felt more comfortable than a few minutes ago, and his fire-alligned abilities could be used better in his new form. "Wow, that training actually does wonders." he said to himself as he continued to walk through the savanna. The young man wondered if he could use his swords as a lion; probably not, his paws were not made to hold them.
"Maybe I should test my abilities to be sure that they work here." Mikael said before attempting to stand up in two legs. After several moments of failed attempts, he managed to succeed. He even didn't felt the need of going back down! A flame was suddenly created at one of his paws before he proceeded to launch it forward. He then started to follow it, more like chasing it. And just then, he realized that it was going really fast... toward a babboon, a mouse, and a bird.
"Siris knows.....," Max muttered in answer to Erika's question, looking around. As he did, he heard flapping behind him, and then a voice. He jumped a little, reaching behind him with one hand to grip his warpike, which had changd in size to suit his smaller stature somehow, where it had somehow strapped itself to his back, apparently during the transformation sometime.
Max listened to the black and white bird, and then gave it a quizzical look. That voice sounded familiar....
His thought were quickly interrupted as something whizzed past in a flurry of flames, actually searing his fur slightly as it passed. Max jumped a little, seeing a lion with flaming claws whiz past him, and leapt over to the tree with the bird, climbing up it with one hand with amazing ease and setting Erika down on a branch.
"Stay here!" he said to her,"You're a little to small to do anything. I can handle this."
Without waiting for a word, he leapt down to the ground, rolling as he hit, grabbing his sword again in the process. As he came out of the roll onto his feet, he realized this monkey form of his was really acrobatic. Much more so than how he usually was. It would make fighting a little different, but he could manage.
For now, he just needed to focus on this lion, since he'd apparently attacked them. Lions, of course, were carnivorous beasts, so he wouldn't be surprised if this one wanted to eat them for lunch. It would get a nasty surprise, though. Max wasn't going down without a damn good fight.

Her ears twitched with her nose at a new scent. That was correct; she could smell better than ever, which wasn't to pleasant, since she knew every detail of something including the bird. So the world had forced them into this form, it better be for one hell of a good reason to force her body into a flying rodent.
Her eyes widened at the sudden movement and change of scenery from endless sand brown and green grasslands to dark tree branches. Turning around on all fours, Erika stood on her hind legs. Her head leaned to the right in confusion as her clawed paws fumbled with one another.
"Stay here!" Max the Monkey said to her,"You're a little to small to do anything. I can handle this."
Erika's eyes narrowed as she looked at herself and back towards the monkey's large head. The point was taken, and her furry arms folded over her chest. Before she could sigh, he was already on the floor with a blade in hand. With ease, she leapt up higher on a branch. Although he said to stay, she was still in the tree.
"And seems is a state of opinions as well as uncertainty, feather butt." Erika looked up at the bird. "Yep, it's you. Funny I don't see you as a bird...perhaps a bunny would suit you."

Lyon watched the fire ball blast through the area.
"Yep, it's you. Funny I don't see you as a bird...perhaps a bunny would suit you."
Lyon chuckled a bit, the girl still had snappy comebacks and a sense of humor. "Humorous, still dislike me I see. Oh well not many people do, and in your current form I doubt you could do much, while I still retain my power. So I suggest you don't get on my bad side right now after all though I don't think you'd do that, we're more or less allies on some level, though I suppose you won't trust me till he's gone correct?" Lyon had said alot, probably more than he'd ever spoken in a single sentence.
"As for him, I take it he is the man I met at the castle, his name is Max right?" Lyon inquired, he felt happy, he didn't know why though, maybe things were finally starting to look up.
(*HK-47 takes over* Query: Is Maxwell Tendas currently using his warpike? Unnecessary Comment: If the previous query is responded with a "No", the teenager meatbag will edit.)
"Oops..." The lion said as he watched the scene he had caused. A couple of trees had their branches burned by his fireball, the latter almost burning the babboon alive as well. While the mouse and the bird appearantly talked, the primate proceeded to engage him. Wait, a mouse? At the Pride Lands? To his knowledge, there were no mice at the african world. The possibility of the trio, or at least the mouse, comming from another world existed. Time for peace talks.
"Sorry! I didn't noticed you were here! I won't do any harm!" Mikael the Lion shouted as he walked toward the babboon slowly. He noticed that a warpike rested on the ground beside the animal; it looked exactly the same as that man's... could he be...? Well, there were many pikes in the universe, but it was worth giving it a try.
When he was close enough, he stopped moving and hoped that the monkey wouldn't try to attack him with the sword he was using. "By any chance, are you Max?" The fire user half-glanced at the mouse and the bird and wondered who they were.
(No, Max wasn't using his pike. XD he was using the sword the used to belong to Jawn before he dropped it at Disney Castle. But, since he dropped it and left the site....it's Max's now. So, yes, and edit would be nice. Max's spear is off to the side, though.)
Max glared as the lion came up to him slowly, saying he didn't mean any harm. Max, however, already on edge, wasn't ready to lower his guard just yet.
At least, not until the lion called him by name.
Bewildered, Max lowered his sword and stared at the lion with his primate eyes, a curious look upon his face.
"How do you know my name?" He asked the lion, looking at the beast. He didn't quesion that he could understand it. He could, afterall, understand Erika, who was now a mouse of some kind. Understanding a lion didn't surprise him so much.
He recognized its voice though. He'd heard it somewhere before. He couldn't quite place it, though, and that bugged him. Where had he heard that voice? Then, recognition dawned on him. That was Mikael's voice! The fire kid he'd met in Twilight Town at the same time as Erika! This world must have transformed him too. Still, it was good to see a familiar face......or, hear a familiar voice, rather.
"Mikael!" Max said as he realized who it was, lowering his sword to the ground and monkey-walking over to the lion and peering at him,"What're you doing here?"
