In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A dark portal rippled open on the sandy beaches of Destiny Islands and out walked the new child of Darkness Maverick. The blind fold still wrapped tightly around his eyes to prevent him from being blinded by the light. His heart would not be able to withstand the light so soon after being tainted. But even with the fold around his eyes, even the light against his skin sang out with very little pain.
Maverick stood on the waters edge and couldn't help but think of Sora and King Mickey. He was still convinced he was betrayed by the two, but something deep down thought otherwise. "Sora...what would you think if you saw me now? Would you hate me? Be scared? Betrayed? Like you betrayed me!!" Maverick yelled as he slammed his foot on the ground and a bone spire shot out in front of him. But something was different about it, several barbs were twisting out of it. Were his powers reflecting his heart now?
But now scent flowed into his nose. The scent of a being without life but longing for it. A Nobody, a strong one at that. But the scent was like a blood hound stalking its prey, not stopping until its target's head is on a silver platter. It was Saix. "So." Maverick sighed as he turned around to speak to the hidden Nobody, "I guess I couldn't stay hidden for long. Huh Saix?
((Be a bit lenient with me please, as I still need to get down Saïx's personality perfectly in terms of RPin'.))
"I guess I couldn't stay hidden for long. Huh Saïx?"
The white-haired man looked over his shoulder, facing Saïx. The nobody stood under the shade of a palm tree, his darkened hood protecting his fare skin from the Sun's violent rays. “You would be giving yourself far too much credit if you thought you could avoid the Organization." The Nobody paused, and paid close attention to Maverick's blindfold."So you've made friends with the darkness, have you? That‘s adorable." Maverick has turned away from the light. He was throwing away his heart, and for what? Power? Revenge? If the Luna Diviner had emotions, his blood would be heating up at this moment from foolishness alone.
Saïx had no personal vendetta with the young man, but he was given orders to kill. The Nobody lived to serve, and failure in exterminating this "threat" was not an option. The nobody snapped his fingers, and three figures shot out of the ground around Maverick- berserker nobodies. Each one displayed their claymores proudly, and waited for their master's commands. "Is there anything you would like to say before your life comes to a painful and tragic end?"
Maverick paused and moved his eyes down and to the side as Saïx mocked him for succumbing to the darkness. It was true that he had lost himself to it, but had he truly gotten away from it to begin with? He began his journey lost in darkness, aimlessly wandering around to find his purpose in life. Day by agonizing day he sank deeper into that dark abyss, not wanting to get out. It was Armuial that caused him to run into Sora, who in return dragged him out of the darkness and on the path of light. The road to retribution seemed like an easy one to Maverick at the time, but trying to fight back the deep seeded darkness that had planted itself into his heart was more tormenting than he hoped. The events following Twilight Town put him back where he belonged. He let out a sigh as he remembered what he had said to Elaeus during their first encounter.
"Maybe....maybe my purpose is to surrender my heart to the darkness.."[/color]
The quote hung high in his head as he snapped back to reality and focused on Saïx. The Nobody dared mock his path of choice? Saïx himself only came into being because of his own path of darkness, and he is annoyed at Maverick? The white haired bone-reaper let out a chuckle as the three Berserker Nobodies surrounded him.
"Funny how I was able to hide for almost five months. Thought you would be able to pick up on my scent quicker than that. But I am not meant to die, not yet anyway. My purpose has yet to reveal itself. And your friends here will not impede me on my path of destiny.."
With time almost seeming to slow, Maverick reached behind him and pulled out his spinal cord. The bone weapon grew in length as he tugged it out of his back and he hardened the vertebra in it to straighten it out. He spun rapidly , connecting several blows to each Berserker. With his new power, he did not realize he was spinning much faster than he had imagined. To Saïx, it would seem that Maverick was simply using a spinning attack, but in reality, Maverick was actually dealing strings of combos and slashes in all directions possible. The spinning stopped and the Berserkers fell to their knees before vanishing.
Maverick put on a smirk and faced Saïx. He was not going to lose to him, not now, not ever. Maverick has far to many goals needing to be reached. Too many people to say goodbye to. And a simple vendetta from Xemnas will not make him falter.
"As I said Saïx. This mission will not be easy for you.."

((If I do it again here, please let me know. I don't want to look like an idiot while using Saïx.))
Saïx wasn't surprised from what he had just seen. The darkness could do wonders for a person, and just before robbing away their heart. The Luna Diviner knew the berserkers would be no match for the Darkness-augmented Maverick. The man's new abilities were simply being tested. Saïx was far too wise to charge in without having any knowledge of his enemies newly developed abilities. "You think I have been searching for you these entire five months? I had priorities far above exterminating a miniscule threat like yourself." Saïx had now realized his mistake in that, but he wouldn‘t let it show. He was surprised by Maverick’s assistance from the Dark XII.
"You throw your heart away, yet you do not realize the affects it could have on your person. You do not know the wistfulness each and every nobody who remembers their past selves feel, and how much they regret their own mistakes." …and how much they wish for a heart. The Luna Diviner casually raised his right hand, reaching out to Maverick with his palm facing the ground. A large silver and blue claymore appeared in the Nobody's hand instantaneously. His legs spread apart, knees bent, and he let the inversely-held claymore hang mere inches from the patchy ground. His forward leg and head now entered the sunlight, and his piercing yellow eyes broke through the darkness of his cloak.
Saïx was ready to end things here and now.
((Yeah, those 'five months' where Saïx had gone unused will just be him running different missions, thinking of Maverick as a low-level threat. I hope that is okay, as I only had Saïx recently. On another note, DAHKNESSS.))
"I did not throw it away! This has always been my destiny! Ever since I was a kid. Darkness is all I know..." Maverick shouted and his voice trailed off at the last part. Just because one is born from darkness....does not mean they willingly want to walk beside it. Maverick watched as Saïx summoned his weapon and his yellow eyes shone through his black hood. Maverick knew that prolonged exposure to darkness would eventually make him a Heartless or even worse. But he wanted to live his life to the fullest, even if it was to bring Saïx down.
”I don’t care that you feel sorry for what you did in your life. You scorn me for throwing my heart away but you’ve done just the same. You gave up everything you had. And for what? To be nothing….” Maverick took his bone sword and broke it into two separate pieces and grasped them in each hand, ”But I will not let that happen to me. I would rather be heartless than a nothing..”
With that Maverick did a quick leap in the air, doing a somersault more or less to add to his momentum. He would bring the blades directly on Saïx’s Claymore and then rebound off while shooting bone shrapnel out of his torso. If Saïx were to knock him away, Maverick would expend the bones in his torso to act as a shield and block it and try to grab the Nobody and drag him in for another shrapnel attack
((Sorry for the wait, been busy with stuff lately.))
Saïx closed his eyes, and smiling, said "I suppose you will end up becoming just a heartless." Saïx lifted his claymore, blocking Maverick's “swords“. The man leaped back and fired off bits of bone toward the Nobody. In retaliation, he swung his Lunatic through the air, and created a shockwave that sent the bone shrapnel into the sand. There was now a distance of fifteen or so feet between him and the Nobody.
Saïx began walking toward Maverick, at a slow but steady pace. Now in direct sunlight, the bored look on his face could be seen as plain as day. The young white-haired man was just another target to the Luna Diviner, a target among hundreds of others that Saïx had eliminated. Some of his marks dropped like flies, while others required much more skill in order to best. What group will Maverick fall under?
After his fourth step toward Maverick, Saïx rocketed forward like a bullet (but perhaps not quite as fast). He struck at Maverick with his Claymore, aiming to slam the broad-side of Lunatic into the man. If Saïx were to miss, well, he would just end up standing a few inches deep in Sea water.
