In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Samael blinked like a confused fawn, "Well if you say so, I rather us to not linger where its uncomfortable for you. We can go outside if you like. I can see how this place may make you feel uneasy; it is the birthplace of the start of confusion and memory lost."
The mutant started to walk ahead before hearing Darkun's voice. "Hm?"
"Well, from what I've seen, yes he can control them fairly well," then he paused, "I doubt control would be the proper term since they are a part of him. Together they call themselves Seth. I doubt he would erupt, especially not with me around. I can easily calm him, so that's not a problem. The violets are useful for that."

“Those purple butterflies… the ones that calm you down… Do they work on anyone?” Darkun spoke slowly, pushing open the doors to the outside and taking a step out into the still twilight lit sky, if they stood on the earth maybe Seth could feel them and would come to investigate.
Darkun walked towards one of the columns before falling against it in a dramatic lean gesture. “ So they would work… on me?” he asked calmly, could this be the solution to Dawa?
The logic swirled through his mind, if it worked on Seth, surely it would work on him. Should he try it? But if he did what If Dawa tried to hurt Samael, he didn’t want to hurt his friend. That would be a bad idea.
He hummed a soft lullaby as he thought to himself, awaiting the answers to his varying questions.

Seth floated through the air blissfully content, the wind had no master or calling, it simply was. Neither good nor evil, not devil or base it was freedom, something he loved above anything else. Then, like a sudden finger snap, something went off in his mind. A familiar prescence, an element... Samael had returned. He traced its prescence and saw it was coming from a forest, how... fitting.
Moving along the wind he started to descend taking his time figuring that Samael wasn't in any danger. Dropping near the entrance he walked through following the path with the least amount of trees and saw a mansion up in the distance. Very odd, someone was either very in-tune with nature or an exile to the others. Walking closer he saw a man leaning lazily against one of the pillars. Another human, perfect, but travelling with Samael, a few warnings went off in his head before he saw the one he was looking for.
He increased his pace ignoring the man. "Samael, I'm glad to see your back!" Seth's voice in high spirits for seeing his friend and fellow mutant, it would be nice to be able to speak with someone. Stopping within a few feet he softened the tone of his voice. "Who exactly is that man over there?" Seth said rather curious. He knew Samael trusted humans more than he did but he didn't think he'd end up travelling with one of them.

"Yes, they are meant to work on many including you," Samael nodded, while following suit as he pushed the door open going outside. "It useful when stressed, but anything can be used negative-"
Samael hesitated to finish as his head turned towards the woods like a dog hearing a sharp tuned whistle. His eyes were glued and focused. He didn't have the stiffness when traveling; actually he was quite loose and comfortable with the expression of waiting. "He's on his way...now."
"Samael, I'm glad to see your back!"
The flora element smiled, "Yes I'm happy to see you too. You can say I missed you." The element was about to happily introduce the pair; there haven't been many moments that Samael was genuinely giddy, but it died down with Seth's lowered tone, close to a whisper.
"Who exactly is that man over there?"
"Man?" Samael's arms folded over his chest in a confused expression. "He doesn't seem that older than us...then again I think you beat me by some years. Thanks to him I wouldn't be here; instead I'll be stranded in a world that lacked sunlight."
Grabbing Seth's hand, he walked him over to Darkun. "I find him trusting and intriguing, since he's prone to being alienated. Also he may be an element as well...just not one commonly found on Solace."

This was Darkun’s big moment, the meeting of Seth, the other mutant that Samael had talked about. He saw Seth come over but was intrigued when he was initially ignored. Seth had whispered something to Samael when Samael had gone into explanation of who he was, obviously there was a bit of tension with Seth.
Man? Darkun didn’t know his exact age but he wasn’t a /man/ more of a late teen somewhere in the region of 17-19 was his best bet. However, his actual age meant nothing of his mentality, he had the confidence of a child.
That’s when Samael brought Seth over and introduced him. “ I’m Darkun,” he said, probably sounding like a complete idiot seen as Samael had just introduced him. “ I’m sorry if my presence troubles you, Samael needed a hand getting here and I offered to help him.” Darkun smiled sweetly, hopefully by seeing that Darkun was no threat and wanted to help would win over Seth a lot easier.
The thing about being an element hit him, an element? Like them? It was true, could he of been from their world and lost his memory? This thought got pushed to the vault of thoughts right in the back of his mind, don’t dwell on the past idiot Darkun’s own thought attacked him.
“I… err, hope that we can be friends” he didn’t know what to say, Darkun wasn’t used to introducing himself and meeting people, especially due to the fact that there was only Lily he had properly known since his memory loss. “Samael has spoken very highly of you.” He said trying to offer some kind of compliment
As a final gesture Darkun offered a handshake and a smile.

He sighed as Samael corrected him but was rather confused as to why he though the man was an elemental. He couldn't feel anything from him, with luck he would say why he had said such a thing. For now though he would show a mild amount of trust as the man had not attacked him and helped Samael.
He was led over to him as Samael introduced the man and him and heard the man speak and ended with a smile. His gaze remained dull and judging though. Unless he was an elemental or a mutant he wouldn't show much care. The man was obviously socially awkward and as he finished talking he held out his hand for a hand shake. Seth sighed and shook his hand firmly but quickly let go and shoved his hand in his pocket.
"Though this may seem rude, I do not trust you lest Samael is correct that you are an elemental or if you are, and this I doubt more than you being an elemental, a mutant. If you want that trust then I suggest you show no harm or hostility towards myself or my friend. But besides that my full name is Ventulus Perurro Humus Aquais, but as you can guess I prefer Seth." Seth's voice was not hostile nor was it friendly until the end were it became calm.
(Since my post got screwed up this one is going to be short because I don't feel like re-typing all of it. Sorry for the inconvenience.)

(tis otay.)
Samael didn't even want to watch this greeting. Already he could feel Seth tense up right next to him. His fingers twiddled with a lock of hair pinching them between his nails, while holding back a sigh. He knew Seth had a hard time trusting people, but he never thought it would feel this uncomfortable. From Seth's past, Darkun wouldn't fit anywhere in it.
From watching him and talking to him, Samael didn't feel anything bad in him, but misunderstanding. The humans that mistreated them weren't as unique as them. Sure they had talent, but they can't create elements from the paranormal, carry traits like animals, run three times faster than human, be in-sync to computers, read people thoughts, lift objects mentally, manipulate emotions, and so on. Darkun on the other hand manipulated shadows, which Samael would consider a gift.
If he was born as he was now in their world, Darkun would be in the same boat. True he couldn't feel his element, but shadows weren't considered an element of Earth like aqua, pyro, terra, and aero. He was something else, another element unrelated to Earth. Perhaps there were more elements amongst this universe unrelated to the element of nature.
"Seth, it's not like I would walk around with hostile people; he've been prosecuted like we were just not bound by chains. Come on. We shouldn't linger where these...nobodies tend to venture. I like the company of two."
Post by darkunslint on Nov 13, 2009 13:49:18 GMT -4
Darkun was glad that Seth had shaken his hand, it was meant to be a good sign right? However what came after it was not what he wanted, that stare, the blank stare, it was so similar to what others had once shown him, that stare as if he wasn’t even there.
“I… would always try not to be hostile… I don’t even know what it is that does this. I lost my memory so I cant really remember much of my past, but I know all to well that because of what I can do, I am not normal ” He spoke with his head to the ground. He had fought inner battles with the evil Dawa, he had killed nobodies, heartless but never had he been so scared.
This Seth was his last chance, it was by his word only that Darkun could obtain Samael as a friend and Darkun wanted this more than anything, what could he do? How could he show?
“I don’t know if I’m a mutant or an elemental…” he spoke the words solemnly taking a brief respite before continuing. “ But I can do things like this…” he formed the shadow on the ground to his hand, his shadow floated up into the air like an actual object before condensing into a sphere, he then changed it to a square, showing that he could change shape. Then he let it fall to the floor, the square shadow hit the floor as a tangible object, and he condensed it, the density raising it sunk lightly into the mud.
“And I can travel to any shadow I have been in before… Its how I brought Samael here. I can step to shadows that I can see, but I can jump to any shadow I’ve been to.” He was trying to think of the best way to explain it, he let his shadow dissipate to the floor, slowly becoming intangible and making his shadow again.
Darkun didn’t know what else he could do, he had shown Seth what he could do, now all he could hope for was acceptance, for the first time in his life, he hoped he would be accepted and not hated or rejected.

(I know and I'm sorry. I'm just having massive writer's block. I'll post but i can't say it'll be good)
"Seth, it's not like I would walk around with hostile people; he've been prosecuted like we were just not bound by chains. Come on. We shouldn't linger where these...nobodies tend to venture. I like the company of two."
"Very well then I shall take your word for it. And I suppose if he has had a past somewhar like ours he's alright. And, what exactly are nobodies. I met one when I came here but I wasn't sure what he meant when he described them. He said they weren't meant to be." Seth said rather confused. To him if something wasn't meant to be, then why was it there in the first place.
Seth watched Darkun show his ability and immediately saw why Samael thought he was an elemental. An ability to control something but at the same time he didn't seem to be in sync with it. "Though you may not be an elemental as the ones on Solace are you're powers are very similar to ours. For that I will show my respect." Seth ended his statement with a smile, he was just glad to have it over. He need to have some fun and mistrust, though important in some cases, would ruin it.
"So what exactly were you two doing before I arrived?"

The mutant smiled silently happy with the new tranquility that waltz between the newly formed trio. It was actually refreshing to see Seth smile towards someone else other than him just to say he saw how angry the treta can become when it comes to humans and possibly strangers.
Samael scratched the back of his head trying to find an answer to what exactly were they doing. He looked back to the white mansion with the tattered pillars and the wierd white disfigured beings. "We were in there...momentarily before we were bombarded by nobodies."
"I still wonder what's in there. It's better to sleep in a warm house then out in the cold. Traverse Town isn't the warmest world. It even lack sunlight and clouds to keep the heat inside. Then again that place does have a creepy feel to it as well as those nobodies. Luckily they didn't get to close, but I do depend on my plants too much." Samael then looked at Darkun then chuckled, "But then again Darkun was there so it wasn't too much of a struggle to deal with."

"But then again Darkun was there so it wasn't too much of a struggle to deal with.”
“Hey, your making me out as some kind of knight in shining armour” he joked to the two, He really didn’t want to go back in the mansion but it looked like he would, he wasn’t about to jeopardise this new friendship. “ Im just glad I could stay in control rather than Dawa” he chuckled lightly before realising what he had said; his mind began its babbling IDIOT! Why the hell did you say that, you moron, there going to think you’re a freak or worse, they are going to see you as a danger to them and leave you, alone. That’s all you’ll ever be, alone, lonesome little Darkun, never have any friends. SILENCE! Darkun commanded his mind babble or Dawa, whichever it was.
He acted nonchalant about what he had just said. “ But I agree, it is warmer in there than out here, we should probably head in, a few nobodies I’m sure Sam can make them disintegrate, he’s got that cool acid thing, I only have my knives” he smiled.
Looking to Seth, averting eye contact looking at his feet. Quickly he began walking towards the manner, flinging open the doors and letting the surprisingly warm air hit him, considering it was abandoned it was pretty well heated.
He walked straight over to the stairs, he could hear anything that they said to him but ignored it until he sat down, that’s when he looked up, waiting for the other two to come to him.

"If you wish to stay here you may, and if there's any threats I could always eliminate them for you." Seth said holding up his hand as a little mini-tornado swirled around it. Wind had the power to destroy mountains over time and with enough force it could cause hurricanes and tornadoes sometimes causing entire maps to be redrawn.
"Im just glad I could stay in control rather than Dawa”
"Dawa, who is dawa? Is he another personality?" If it was another personality then perhaps he did have quite a bit in common with Darkun.
(Short post, but my muse is a bit drained from a science paper.)

"Are you sure you want to go-" Samael tried to ask, but Darkun had already opened the door to the manor. It almost slipped his mind; Darkun wasn't too comfortable in there, but it seemed there was no convincing him. He'll just have to stay near him for he won't jump out of his skin or worse.
He stopped himself watching the other quickly changed subjects as if embarassed. He made a side glance towards Seth to see his expression, but he followed suit nonetheless. Walking in he could feel the warmth that heated his quivering skin. Opening his mouth, he was about to ask out of concern towards Darkun, but another voice replied.
"Dawa, who is dawa? Is he another personality?"
Samael silenced his still mouth as he crawled into a comfortable step.

"Dawa, who is Dawa? Is he another personality?"
Dammit, Dammit all. He thought quickly, what could he say? There was something going on here, the question didn’t sound strange, and he had jumped to such a conclusion so quickly… Was there more to this than met the eye? I can’t say anything, what can I say? Can I lay my way out of it? No… There isn’t a way, they have to know.
Darkun couldn’t think how to put it in the words… so he started with a song. “If… you are near, to the dark I will tell you ‘bout the sun. You are trapped, no escape from my visions of the world. You will cry, all alone Ever in your darkness”
He hoped that it would explain enough but after singing that in his solemn voice, the same angelic tone he had sang earlier and had drawn Samael towards him. He gained the confidence. “ It… is. It’s the other side of me, the side that I… I can control it. I understand if you don’t want to be near me, I might try to hurt you…” He spoke slowly; he hated the fact that he might lose his friends just because of Dawa.
He looked up from his seated position on the stair, what else could he say? Should he beg them not to hurt him? He hoped that this would click with Samael as why he was asking about the purple butterflies earlier. He hoped that it would be enough.
“I don’t know if I can maintain it all the time. I can usually but occasionally I slip… And it’s so hard to pull myself back.” He would have been almost crying. But he had some kind of inner strength that allowed him to maintain that small fraction of dignity.
