In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

((Not likely. But it IS the season for miracles. At least he got a breather with his match with Ikari. =\ ))
Rook wondered if his match with Ikari could truly be considered a victory. In any capacity. He hadn't won, but nor had he lost. The same could be said for her, though. But moreso, beyond the fight... things were proven to him. She remembered him, argued for him, worried for him. It called into question the true motives he served.
There was a darkness in him, budding, and swelling. Anger, dejection, fear. He accepted it to save the life of Namine, and was now beginning to notice that this was his downward spiral. Falling steadily in to the Dark for a cause long behind him, with no one to greet him on the other side. He frowned as he stepped in to the arena.
Era would be so disappointed in him... he winced, closing his eyes at the light. Shaking it away, he looked about. He was here again. Win, lose, or draw, he was doing it. He was forging his path through the ranks of the tournament. Two more matches, that's all he had to do... just two more...then he could rest easy.
The heals between. The light amount of stress the last match supplied his body with (his heart and mind notwithstanding). All things considered, he was feeling alright. Not 100%, but good enough to give this his all. It hadn't been easy, and would only get harder for the last two matches. But he was pacing himself, learning more and more about his newfound dark powers and how to not let them overcome him, weaken him.
He stretched, his back, his arms, his legs. Two more, he repeated to himself. Just two more.
So, round four was it? Seem to be round one to Seed, all he had done was coast through the entire tournament with only Even standing slightly in his way before Seed toppled him. But Seed knew this person well; it was Rook, the little Keybearer from the attack on Castle Abyss and the minion of Marluxia. He looked liked hell, Seed didn’t blame him. First a fight with Lexaeus in which both almost died cause Lexaeus seemed to be bothered with other matters, then a fight with Gilgamesh, and THEN a fight with Ikari. Seed liked the odds that were in his deck right now.
”So, Rook is it not?” Seed began as multiple illusions of himself flashed all around the red head boy, ”We both know you’re too weak to fight me. I’m in the XII after all. The strongest apprentice they have, well…I guess that bloke Kuja is stronger than me but he’s now a Heartless so he doesn’t count. Anyway, lets say you we call this match a practice for me so I can face Elaeus in the final round?” the illusions, still flashing around Rook, were slowing down and the real Seed began to take shape behind Rook with his Bo-Staff firmly in hand. He was just waiting for a chance to attack.
"The XII. I remember you," He noted aloud, looking briefly at the illusions that spread around him. One of them was real... one of them who would be taking the chance to surprise him. "I blew a large hole in the side of your castle. But you took Era. And for that you won't get any mercy from me... Guard Light!"
He kicked out his leg, and dropped to his back, spinning as he fell. Bracing the firing hand with the other, the blast ripped through the mob of illusionary foes and he watched, eyes trailing the blast. One of them would either dodge, or get plastered in the face with concussive energy. Rook would let him decide.
Rook fired off his Guard Light just .23 seconds after Seed had fully materialized but since Seed could see through all his illusions he already knew what to do. Seed lowered himself down quickly and used air to propel his body upwards and over Rook, letting several spurts of Fire magic fall down on the red head. Seed landed just in front of the Keybearer as his beam of light finished its circumnavigation of the arena, he gave a twisted grin and with a flick of his wrist the Bo-Staff was sent flying at Rook with Seed right behind it. Should Rook simply catch the staff and try to use it against Seed, the Heartless would simply unleash a barrage of Tai Kwan Do attacks and attempt to kick Rook into the air.
But, if Rook knocks the staff away, Seed would create an illusion in his place still going after Rook, while he himself would use wind to move back after the staff and would redirect his body to Rook and unleash hell. Seed had already seen this guy in action and if you gave him distance and time, he could turn the tables really fast. Good thing Seed prided himself on his speed and intellect
And Rook, while not the smartest or fastest, prided himself on his knack for improvising. And the name is Seed's game seemed to be "misdirection". His attacks weren't much unlike the Neo-Shadows in the wastes of Radiant Garden, one to distract you while another attacked. And never where you could see.
A flash of shimmering light and BlackJack was in hand, black heart keychain dangling and chinging, metal against metal. Kicking off with his right, he spun upwards, jumping with a swivel to connect with the staff, a succesful strike with the mystical weapon would certainly cleave it in half. The momentum carried him in a full 540-degree turn, teeth of the weapon pointed outwards during his encirclement, and landing with the keyblade slashing downwards to his left. "Fool me once..."
Seed was a little surprised that the boy was using his Keyblade so soon, but it worried him slightly too. If he were to be struck down by that Keyblade, that's it game over, no coming back from that one. Seeing the teeth of the weapon slice his staff in two that Seed an idea, he was still on course to connect with Rook but with a quick manipulation of wind he was doing a flip in the air with a slight breeze reaching Rook.
"Shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. Yeah, I know the quote." Seed said as he landed and gave a smirk at Rook. The two staff pieces were laying behind Rook and Seed began swirling air around them and sent them flying at Rook but, like a ventriloquist does with a marionette, two strings of air were connecting Seed with the chunks of wood. While this was going on, Seed was moving the two air strings to his left hand and was moving his fingers rapidly to cause random movements. With his right hand he took out three metal arrow heads and used fire magic to light them on fire and used air to propel them at Rook.
((I really find it nigh impossible to believe that anyone could control air that totally and intricately, especially a character so young and with such control and use over so many other elements as well.
In point of fact, I'm just going to cede from the tournament. At this point, I doubt I am long for this site, and posting on it has become more a chore than fun or entertaining. Sorry.))
