In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

Max ignored Torq and the other man. he focused completely on what he was doing. He dug his pike into the Darkside's shoulder. He held onto the shaft of the weapon with one hand and started slashing at the Darkside's neck with the other, with the intent to sever it from its body.
He started hacking away at it, his sword's blade biting deeper and deeper into it as it began to let out all kinds of noises in pain. It started flailing a few times, which would cause Max to have to stop slashing to focus on holding onto the pike handle. When it died down, however, he resumed his grissly task of slicing through the Heartless' neck.
Eventually, though it took a while, the sword went through, and the Darkside began to go limp and fall forward. By this time, Max's arm was numb from the exertion of holding his whole weight all by itself for so long, and he was barely able to flex the muscles in his fingers enough to make them let go of the weapon in the creature's shoulder. As he fell, he brought a water disc up to catch him and carry him away from the creature's body until it had disappeared back into the Darkness.
when it was gone, he landed the disc on the ground and returned the water to where he'd gotten it, then bent to retrieve his pike from where it rested on the ground. As he straightened, he looked over at the new guy and walked over to stand next to Torq.
"Anyone you know?" he asked the other soldier out of the corner of his mouth.
Cyrus let out a sigh of relief as the Darkside vanished into the darkness. Shouldering his Polearm, he made his way to the other two, flashing a grin at them. "Hey, some battle right? Not everyday something like that shows up," He commented, before sticking out a hand.
"I'm Cyrus; happened to come along and see you two fighting, and judging by how it was turning out, it was pretty good timing, if I do say so myself." He leaned on the shaft of his polearm as he said this, giving him some more support. Not that he'd ever admit that he was tired.
