In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A black coal nose twitched as it sniffed the shoreline as the waves crept closer before shrinking away from the immense heat. A ruby gaia laid down on the cool sand as it black muscular frame stood out from the light bleached brown tint that coated the entire beach. It wasn't too fond of water and laid right out of it range, but it didn't mind the misty spray it gave causing the soothing sound of sizzling water. It's ear twitched hearing it's charge bounce about so playfully.
It was a zircon; it's brown gem gleamed in the sunlight as it raced up and down the beach before rolling in the sand. The darkness latched unto the sand before it was tugged to patch in the skeletal frame. It shook the loose sand free before trotting to the ruby to pounce next to it before tugging an high pointed ear. This spunky Gaia runt will be called Terran. Wagging its tail, it nipped the ruby before the patient canine groaned with a low growl.
Nina didn't mind the runt much, but he needed to get on the band wagon to survive and serve the pack, which also meant serving their true alpha. Lucky the young heartless never met him, or the childish nature would've been bitten out of him. For now the Gaia lounged before watching Terran run free again. He did stood out from fellow Zircon for his one bent ear with a tail that naturally curved up instead of lying down.

Rocaletta approached the zicron carefully. She trusted the creature, but she could never be too sure. "And what is your name?" she asked, her voice soft, but firm. She didn't want to come across as weak, but not to strong an overwhelming at the same time. She wouldn't want to scare the zicron off right away. So, she continued to talk with this creature. "My name is Rocaletta."
(Blah, sorry. It's short, and not much to work with, I know. For some reason I can't think tonight.)

The Zircon halted once seeing a figure that some what replicated its own. It's pup-like carefree nature ceased once seeing her, and it spoke. Its rocky brows furrowed wondering if it can talk to it or if it was even allowed. Terran only communicated with other heartless as a heartless, but to Gaia like any other dog. It gave a bark in reply before digging in the ground kicking the sand to show the darker hues of it.
Nina's ears perked hearing Terran bark his own name. What made her grumble lowly was the question 'why?' Getting up, her heated lithe body trotted towards the smell of its tainted heart. Feeling her come by, Terran's ears flattened; she was a higher rank than he was, and the pup was unsure whether she would approve of his present interaction with this dog named Rocaletta.
The Ruby Canine snorted smoke from her nose as her yellow bright eyes stared her down. "Terran who this?" It spoke in a low grumble, while the young heartless barked her name in reply.

(I knew I was forgetting to do something when she got accepted... That's what it was. Man, do I feel stupid. O.o)
Rocaletta looked with curiosity at the zircon as it stopped in surprise. "What, have you never seen a talking dog before? You look a lot like a dog, so I would presume that you have. You do not have to be afraid of me. I will do no harm. Well, not unless you suddenly turn on me, which there is a chance, I suppose, but... Well, I am basically rambling."
She suddenly realized that he had barked his own name. "Terran, is it? I see. Well, it is good to meet you, Terran." She suddenly started to wonder whether or not she was being a bother. Oh, how she would hate to become one right away. She also wasn't sure about the other dog. She wondered who it could be. She couldn't tell whether or not she was annoyed with Rocaletta's presence. Rocaletta knew she would have to be careful, and be on her guard at all times...
(Ta-da! Much better than yesterday. I believe. It's longer, at least.)

The Ruby's charcoal nosed twitched once hearing her name. Her head tilted curiously at the voice coming from her muzzle. It sounded like the same dialect her master would speak in, but her ears noticed it didn't have the same understandable twist that Heartless used with other heartless. "You speak strange," Nina huffed.
They canines continued to talk as dogs without the master skills to speak the universe language of humes. Terran wagged his tail giving a few exaggerated barks telling Rocaletta that she sounded like the two feet. He began to introduce Nina with a growl emphasizing the fire connotation of her name.

Rocaletta looked at the other dog. "Nina? Well, that is certainly a nice name. I am aware that I speak strange. I have been told that all my life. Even by family. Oh, how I am rambling. I dearly hope that I am not being a bother." She sincerely hoped this. She wouldn't want to become one. Well, not right away, at least. She looked at the two creatures, and couldn't tell their expression.
"I never have trusted humans completely, but I have heard a lot, so it is only natural that I speak like them." She suddenly realized that she was just giving a lot of useless information to two creatures that she barely knew. She promised herself that she would try to not talk as much as to not annoy these somewhat strangers.

Terran nodded understanding her, while scratching behind his ear really for no particular reason. The sand from his body flicked off before he commenced to stretch. With a bark ending in a low howl, the Zircon panted with a smile on his muzzle reassuring that she wasn't a pest. "Shadows are more pest," is what he said with a grumble.
Nina shook her head as Terran began chasing his tail. "Where your family," the Ruby huffed, while looking a Rocaletta with a tilt to her head.
