Rough Landing (Kyella, Vetis PM to join)

It was calm in the 3rd District. At least it was until a small gummi ship crashed into the nearby courtyard with a deafening bang. A good majority of the courtyard was in ruin from the massive crash, but surprisingly the gummi ship wasn't too badly damaged. However, the engine fried, and the the hull was banged up. Vetis slowly climbed out of the cockpit.

"Damn. I really need a manual for these things. At least the safety gear worked." He slowly walked around the ship inspecting the hull. He kicked the ship in frustration.

In the distance Vetis heard a few quiet shifting noises. He began to fasten a tight grip on the handle of his sword, not knowing what may lurk in the distant shadows. Then three small figures emerged from the dark night.

"What in the hell?" Vetis wispered to himself. One of them began to come into view, revealing a small humanoid figure. Vetis could tell by the nature of its movement towards him that it was aggressive. He began to unsheath his sword and get into a combat stance. The nearest one lunged mindlessly at Vetis. Vetis flung the sword from the sheath and slashed through the shadows weak form. The shadow seemingly vanished in a cloud of black smoke after its death.

"That was easy." he muttered to himself. The next one began to step in range. Vetis smiled grimly and began to channel a fire-bolt. The shadow didn't falter, it kept walking towards him. Vetis confidently threw the fire-bolt at the shadow. The fire seemed to consume the shadow entirely, and the heartless gave out a high pitched squeal as it was burnt into seemingly nothing.

The last one tried something sneaky though. It seemed to form a shadow on the ground and move up behind Vetis. Vetis looked around, scanning the area for the last one. But then he herd a small shuffle behind him. He sheathed his sword as if to not know of the shadow behind him. The heartless eagerly pounced for his heart from behind. Vetis quickly turned around and grabbed the shadow by its skinny neck and squeezed hard.

"Look at you. Trying to be clever, I admire that. But I have to to finish what you started." Vetis formed his other hand around the flailing shadow's head and with a quick and violent motion, ripped it from its body. The shadow disappeared in a cloud of smoke, like the others.

Vetis sat down on the cold ground beneath him. He started to make and small fireball at the end of his right index finger and he laid his blade on the ground. And began to burn three small tally marks on the hilt of the sword.

"Three down... Many more to go." He said to himself. Vetis got up and began to look around for an area where he could rest and find parts for his ship.

Kyella still shaking of her recent decent into calamity was walking through the area when a ship came crashing down nearby.

Holy cow!!! Is that an honest spaceship? I need to check it out. Maybe I can hitch a ride.

She hopped over to the area to see a young man fighting shadow monsters. She had not seen such a thing.

Those guys just melt in to the ground. He shoots fireballs. That is crazy wicked. What the heck are those?

When Kyella saw the guy branding his sword she observe one of the shadows on the wall hop out. With a flash she came jumping at it with a kick.

Look out!

Without another moment the shadow flew across the courtyard from the impact of her kick into the other wall and poofed away.

Ah no! Did I kill it? I did not mean to hit it that hard, really.

Vetis smiled at Kyella, he stood up and sheathed his sword.

"So whats a little girl like you doing around here? It looks a tad dangerous around here (district 3)." Vetis looked around the immediate area and let out a sigh of disappointment because most of the heartless in the area were already dead.

"Could you by chance point me in the direction of a hardware shop or maybe a place to crash? Or are you as lost as I am?" Vetis found that trying to be nice to the passive locals was a good way to play things out around here.

Kyella nods to Vetis and looks around.

Actually I just crashed here myself. So I am kind of lost. I do not even know where here is. You are the first person I met. It is very quiet her.

She looks over where the shadow poofed away.

What was that thing and why did they come after you? I really did not mean to kill it. I have to watch my strength a little bit more.

She looks down at the ground a little embarrassed about what she did.

"I really wouldn't worry about it. I personally wish more of them would show up." Vetis said with a grim smirk on his face. He looked around the hull of his ship and was happy to see that none of is was too badly damaged for flight.

"Well the good news is that it could fly if it had an engine that wasn't fried. So I guess we are going be here until I can find parts or if we can find a way out of here." walked over to Kyella and looked her in the eyes.

"Oh and a word of warning, try to stay on my good side little girl. There are more dangerous things out here than those creatures." Vetis half smiled and started to walk down the dark street.

Kyella smiled at the young man.

Why would I want to get on your bad side? I do not even know you. I am Kyella by the way. Why are you hoping more of those guys show up?

Her grin was prominent and she did not seem to have any worries in the world. She unwrapped a lollipop and started sucking on it as she pushed up her glasses.

At least now I can be lost with someone else who is just as lost. Heck he even has a spaceship so maybe we can take a look at other places.

"Well Kyella you can call me Vee." Vetis smirked to himself. At least the person he ran into happened to be a cute girl.

Vetis looked around the desolate street and to his disappointment found nothing but a strange house, and an abandoned shop from the look of it.

"Well I guess I could go clear out the shop and see if there is anything I could use for the ship. And you could probably see if that house over there would be a safe place to sleep. Because I could really use some sleep after this day." Vetis said with a sigh.

"You shouldn't have too much trouble, and if by chance you do need help you could yell for me to come save you." He said jokingly with a chuckle.

Kyella snickered a little thinking about a few things.

You got it boss. I will check it out and make sure it is not infested with shadowy things.

She walks over to the abandoned house and peek into the window for signs of life. She was sure that she did not see much so walked in through the door. She scanned the room starting with the ceiling, an old habit she learned from her dad, and then worked her way to the floor. The only trouble she saw was a box right in the middle of the room.

Maybe I should move that It could be annoying if it is in the way.

She takes a grip on the box and lifts it up out of the way and walks it over to the side by the wall. She sets it down gently as to not break anything.

She comes out to the door and yells across the way.


ALL CLEAR OVER IN HERE!!!

He began to open the front door to the shop. It creaked into the dark and empty room, almost loud in the silence. Vetis grabbed hold of his sword's handle and walked casually through the shadows of the shop. Then he heard something, like a quiet grunt around the storage area of the shop.

"Hello?" Vetis whispered in the general area. He didn't hear a reply, so he slowly began to move toward the storage area. Then he saw a wounded man in the corner of the storage room. Vetis looked over and thought he seemed very weak and could barley lift his head to look at him. Vetis began to feel the craving to kill. It had been so long sense he had felt the satisfaction of killing another human being.

"Are you ok?" Vetis said with a cynical grin. He tried to hide the smile by staying in the dark.

"You... You're here to save me?" the man said with quivering lips and sagged his head down clutching on the wound on his chest.

"You could say that." Vetis said and laughed a little to himself. He began to draw his sword and walked over to the man in the corner. Vetis rested the tip of his blade on the mans shoulder.

"Pl... Please don't... Don't kill me. I have a family." the man sobbed. Tears running down both checks. He was getting very weak due to the blood loss from the wound. Vetis smiled and set his sword on the ground next to him and knelled in front of the man, and looked him in the eyes.

"You're right. It wouldn't be right to kill a man with a family." Vetis said with a calm voice. He looked down at the ground and closed his eyes and let out a small laugh. He opened both hands and lunged at the mans neck and grabbed on tight, strangling him. He tightened his grip and the man started to squirm the best he could to try and escape the hold. But Vetis was much to strong and he was going to enjoy killing him.

"But it's just so damned fun!" Vetis laughed madly. He tightened his grip once more and felt a the snap of his neck giving in. Vetis relaxed the grip and let go, and the man fell lifeless to the ground with a thud. He wiped the sweat from his forehead and walked out of the storage room and began to look around the shelves trying to find something to use for the ship. He let out a sigh of relief when he saw the few parts he needed to get it up and running again.

"Yes!" he said excitedly. He grabbed them all and stuffed them into the pockets of his trench coat. Vetis left the body in the storage room and closed the door to the shop behind him. He then heard Kyella in the distant house.

"All clear over in hear!" she yelled. He began to make his way to the house and opened up the front door. Vetis walked in and closed the door behind him pleased to see that nothing really that violent had occurred there.

"Where are you?' he said in a semi loud voice.

((Do you mind if I jump in? I've been looking to get active again, and would love to jump in. As you are in the Third District, you should be prepared for strong heartless. Like boss fight strong.

Just fair warning, however, I play for keeps.

I'm only doing this cause people get really angry if I don't ask first.))

Kyella is standing in the doorway smiling as Vetis comes back over to the house. It was clear he was in a better mood.

Did you find anything good?

She figured maybe some parts to the ship or food. Now that she thought about it food was starting to sound like a good idea.

It is weird I thought there would be a lot of those shadowy things in here seeing how dark it is. Oh well at least that is less fighting that has to take place.

It was not that Kyella was afraid to fight She just did not fell that beating a person down would solve any issues.

"Nice to see you smiling. And I pretty much got all I needed to get the ship at least running." He said with a little bit of pride in his voice. He walked over and sat next to Kyella. Vetis pulled out the parts and tools from his pockets and started to work with them and think to himself. "I should probably start thinking about food and such," he thought to himself.

"Did you find any bedrooms with beds by chance? The stress of the day is really setting in on me. If not I could probably just lay on the ground." He finished up one of the parts and set it back in his pocket. Vetis stood up and paced around the room thinking about the situation, and yawned.

Kyella looks around the one room shack.

This looks like it was once a storeroom really. I had to move that box out of the way just so we could have some floor space.

She points over to the massive box she put on the wall.

I think we may have to rough it on the floor. I am not particularly tired right now. Adrenaline from arriving I imagine.

In actuality she did not know what was keeping her wired but this world possessed a higher magical energy background that earth and it was fueling her.

I can keep watch if you want to catch some zs. I will be up for a little while.
