In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Walrus grinned at the foolish adventurer's failing attempt to escape. Even if he could break through the tough ropes binding his arms to the sides of his torso, he would have to fight several Heartless, then go through all the traps in Walrus's mansion, for the Heartless had dragged him there while he was asleep. Walrus pressed a button and spoke up on the intercom in the dungeon. His voice sounded malicious but dripping with stewardess-esque sweetness. "So..." he began, savoring the torturous moment. "I see you've found your way into the dungeon? Well, I'm glad you chose Walrus Torture Services, because it's something to simply DIE for... And you'll want to die by the end of it." he smiled quite wickedly. "Heartless. Seperate them, then use Absolute Pain on them until they faint. Try to keep them awake for as long as possible. Then we'll begin the brainwashing. Have fun!" Walrus grinned widely as the Heartless pushed the horse and man away from each other, then began torturing them with some of the worst spells and techniques known. Seeing this man's power, he could be a good assistant. Walrus grinned wider at the idea.
"Uh!" was all Artemis was able to squeeze out before the Heartless began the spell. The intense pain was too much for Artemis, and he could hear Apollo whinnying in pain. He whispered, "Be well, Apollo..." and dismissed his Aeon, the stallion dissapeariing in a flurry of pyreflies. He then continued to take the attack, but this time glad that his Aeon was safe.

~ ONE MONTH LATER ~
Walrus grimaced at Artemis's bad shape after the torture. He hadn't slept one wink the whole month, and the Darkness in his heart had grown insanely huge, nearly doubling after all of the torture. He would have been insane if the Heartless hadn't kept him from it. Their sadistic powers could keep anyone who was being tortured from escaping the pain. Every time Walrus had told them to stop(for he really didn't believe in torture; he wasn't evil, he was just greedy and gluttonous), they just wouldn't. They would resist him so that they could continue to torture him. But this time, Walrus had mustered up enough mental power to push them out himself.
Walrus walked into the dungeon room. The Heartless glanced at him, then looked back and continued their work. "Go away, Heartless," Walrus yelled at them, putting no power into his voice. As expected, they ignored him. "THE TIME HAS COME!" Walrus cried, and stamped his overlarge foot on the floor, while pouring all of his power into that stamp. The Heartless attempted to resist, but they couldn't. They all exploded into darkness, and Walrus chuckled and shook his head. How those Heartless thought they could resist him...
As soon as the spell ended, Artemis instantly fell into a dreamless sleep.(He's not strong enough to stay awake after that, is he?) Walrus made a 'tsk tsk tsk' and shook his head, then slipped his black cane around Artemis's torso and pulled him over. He looked him over, at all the scabs and burns and cuts. "Oh, I weep for you..." he began to cry a bit, and hiccuped. "I deeply sympathize. For I've enjoyed your company, ohhhhh, much more than you realize."
Walrus then began work on healing the man. He bathed him in Light-filled water, and washed him with Light-filled soap, and healed him and dressed him in a nice suit, then placed him at Walrus's loaded dinner table and waited for him to wake up. He would soon, hopefully. Walrus was getting hungry...

The first thing that registered to Artemis was the pain. Cuts, bruises, scratches, burns...all acted as one source of pain, washing over him in waves. He let out a pained moan and fluttered open his eyes, expecting to see his dungeon. But instead he saw a table filled with food and drink--and Walrus sitting adjacent to him. He started to jerk up to stand and run, but a pain in both his shoulders and arms forced him to sit again.
He glared at Walrus, trying to look intimidating despite his state. "What kind of cruel torture is this?"

Walrus shook his head at the pitiful attempt to escape. "That's alright, don't thank me for doing my best to save your life and provide you with delicious food..." Walrus sighed, angry at this stupid man's rudeness at his attempt at niceness. Of course, he'd just woken up from a month-long torture session... No matter.
"This is no torture, my man. I unsummoned the Heartless, because I think torture is wrong. I'm sorry it took so long, but I had to work on a bad rat problem." Walrus lied, at least about the rat part. He didn't want his guest to think he was weak for not dispelling the Heartless earlier. "Now eat up! You've not eaten anything for a whole month, and do you know how much healing magic it took to stop all of the eternal bleeding, sickness, and even parasitic Heartless? A while, you know! Harumph!" Walrus then picked up a slice of bread, dipped it into a delicious sauce of mustard, pepper, salt, and various other spices, and took a bite, then slurped up a few oysters in a matter of seconds.
Artemis just looked at the creature opposite of him. He had kidnapped him...then saved him? "I'm sorry, Walrus." he said, keeping a careful eye on the creature. "But I suppose that it's kind o fhard to trust you since you kidnapped me." Artemis was surprised yet pleased that he was able to keep a steady tone throughout his talking. He reached an arm out slowly and picked up a piece of bread, spreading it with something that looked similar to butter. He rose it to his mouth and bit down, savoring the sweet yet salty taste of it. He then put it down and looked to his left and right. "Where is my staff?" he asked. And why save me instead of let the Heartless finish me? Don't you control Heartless yourself?"

Walrus listened patiently through the questions, sipping his fine wine throughout. "Well, your staff staff is here..." Walrus began, waggling his fingers and conjuring the staff in his hand with a puff of black and purple. He laid it down on the floor carefully. "I kept it safe from the Heartless, so that I could give it to you when I, ahem, saved you." Walrus was lying. Walrus was totally lying. He was actually going to see if he died after the month was up, and if he did, he would smash the orb and see what was inside. But Artemis didn't need to know that, did he?
"And yes, I do control the Heartless, but I didn't want you to die. For you see, I use the Heartless only to help myself, and others. Some people use them for evil, and sometimes they do... odd things to their owners. But not anymore, I say! I have them all under control." Another lie? Wow.
Artemis looked at Walrus, puzzled. He reached and grabbed his staff. "You are a mysterious creature." he simply said, holding Spark to his side , feeling the familiar tingle of its electric magic and watching the electricity fill the orb again. He also felt the presence of Aphrodite, eminating from the ice crystal and of Apollo, from the quartz stone. He grabbed more food and began eating again, keeping an eye on Walrus. Most likely he was lying, so it would be best to watch him. Closely.

Walrus smiled as his new friend began to eat the food set up for him. "Now, my guest," Walrus said in between an oyster and a slice of bread. "I have an offer for you!" Walrus said, his manipulative nature kicking in. "In return for serving me, as my lieutenant, in all of my schemes, I will give you everything you need to find those Aeons you want to find so badly. A gummi ship, bodyguards, munny, food, supplies, anything! You scratch my back, I scratch yours, you see?" Walrus chuckled, then dove into a leg of duck and some more oysters over spinach, with a fine glass of well-aged wine.
At this offer, Artemis jerked his head up. "Why should I work for you? I don't help anybody who can summon Heartless." He pointed his staff an Walrus and said, "Perhaps I would help if you didn't KIDNAP me." With that, he tried to stand again, but couldn't make his legs support him. He moaned in pain for a bit, then faced Walrus and said, "How do you know of my searches? I don't believe I've mentioned them."

Walrus smiled wickedly. "My Heartless searched through your mind thoroughly during the torture. They found all sorts of secrets in there, secrets tell me all about what you want! And I know you want those Aeons." Walrus slurped up a muscle, and polished off a salad. "Now don't be unreasonable. All of those Aeons, for you, along with riches, power, and all while helping a righteous old businessman? I can't see the problem here."
