In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Cassie slowly relaxed out of her combat stance as Saxen introduced himself. She watched him carefully for a moment, as though expecting some trick. However, it wasn't long before her attention shifted (or she forgot what she was waiting on) and she took his hand. "Hi! I'm Cassie! Nice to meet you Saxen!" ^.^
She looked up as a mournful howl pierced the arena. A canine formed rushed headlong towards her, its paws thudding only lightly upon the iced ground, as though it were flying. It lunged at her leg, jaws open wide. She spun on one toe, like a matador with a cape where the wolf was the bull, she led it on while keeping herself out of harm's way.
Right as Saxen swung his blade towards the wolf, Cassie swooped down and hefted the large canine in her arms, as though he weighed nothing at all. She rubbed her face against his chest as she cradled him.
"Puppy!" she cooed as she twirled, cradling and hugging Kalanu. This was the best arena ever! There were knew friends! There was ice for snowmen! And now there was even a puppy! All thoughts of combat vacated her mind as though they had never been there, her demeanor was clearly set on playing with the new "puppy".
"puppy" the strange girled yipped like a pup. Kalanu was stunned. No human had ever picked him up alone once he had gotten to full size and this person did it with ease. He yelped with surprise and pushed his hind claws into the girls stomach before kicking her as hard as he could. He had thought wrong this person was not the weakest of the group.
The "puppy" in Cassie's arms started to squirm. At this rate, she would drop him.
"Hold still Momo-chan, I don't want to drop you." she had apparently christened the wolf with a name of her own. However, her words went ignored as the wolf managed to break her grasp, using her abdomen as a launchpad to send himself free.
It was apparent (or would be to most people) that the wolf was not of the cuddly, domesticated variety. More apparent was that it likely did not enjoy Cassie giving him a cutesy name or doting on him. However, Cassie was no such person that could read an animal's body language.
"Aw, I see. You're a big boy." She said in a voice that one might talk to a small child in, or in this case, to a "puppy". "You think you're too big for cuddles, but you're not too big for a tummy rub."
She approached the wolf again, preparing to roll him over and follow through with her threat of puppy-treatment.
"Why are so many of my friends so crazy?" Saxen said to himself. He put away his left-hand sword and said to Cassie "Are you stupid? That wolf is trying to EAT you! You can't assume that everyone is a friend just like I can't assume that everyone's an enemy." With that, he started firing dark blasts at the wolf, hoping that Cassie wouldn't attack him. As this was doing this, he noticed the hit-and-runner talking to a new guy. "Fenris," he began, "Can you take care of that?" he pointed quickly with his weapon, keeping his barrage going and reinstituting his shield.
(This is an example of what it should be like. Oh, and the answer is no and yes. There can be a posting order, there is one in the real thing, but this is a practice. Do whatever you want, but yes, a posting order is reccomended. Again, there doesn't have to be.)
character accepted: Bob leaving arena
Joe was going to wipe the smile off of Bob's face with his long huge sword. Joe raised his sword and swung at his face. Helpless, on the ground, Bob struggled to get free. Right before the sword hit his face, he suddenly disapeared. Bob was in a pitch black room. He didn't know where to go. His friends, Dave, Jason, and Sally, he couldn't remember any of them. His mind went completely blank. He couldn't remember a single thing that happened in the arena. Back to reality, the black shifted. It shifted into a familiar place, Twilight Town. His world that he was on before the arena, but he couldn't remember the arena though. So, it was like he never left. He looked at the clock tower. The time was the same time as usual. It felt like he had been somewhere, but he couldn't remember. Bob quickly ignored the thought and started to run to his house, and Bob never thought about what might have happened again.
(Sort of like that, except the part in the arena. It could be a completely different situation. Good luck!)
"I'm not stupid!" Cassie exclaimed in huffy indignation. "I am rubber, you are glue! You're the one who's stupid! How can you not assume everyone is a friend AND not assume they're an enemy? You have to do at least one. Besides, he's a puppy! Puppies can't be evil! I'm sure he was just playing. Oh!" It seemed as though something had just dawned on her. "Maybe he's hungry? If we give him something to eat, he might calm down... Either that, or he needs fixed... Sensei had a doggy once. He got all antsy and stuff. After she took him to the vet, he calmed down.
Fenris was cracking up laughing as Cassie picked up the wild wolf and started cuddling it" That poor wolf!" he tried to say, but he just couldnt stop laughing. Then he got serious for a second when it jumped off of her, then he started laughing even harder when she went to give it a tummy rub. Then he saw Saxen shoot dark blasts at the wolf, then he pointed to the newcomer and the guy who slashed Fenris's arm."Yeah, ill take care of them, you just make sure the wolf doesnt hurt her all right." Fenris said to Saxen as he started making a platform of ice then he jumped on it, and started moving towards them.
When fenris got there after only a few seconds, he umped down to where they where, and made a few spikes of ice appear under them, then he pulled out his sword and coated it in ice, and started slashing left and right at them."This is what you get for cutting my arm!" He shouted as he was focusing his attacks on Sark.
Saxen stopped firing as he realized that maybe he COULD treat this wolf like a dog. He turned his sword around and started playing with the wolf. He was careful, ready for a sudden lunge. "Cassie," he said when he had a moment, "I really think you should be careful with this 'puppy.' I'm sorry I called you stupid, by the way. We need to find something for this guy can eat. But what is there in this arena?!?" Saxen quickly realized that a sword isn't the best toy and started to tie the scraps of his cut-offs into a rope to play with. He kept the flat end of the blade towards the wolf just in case.

Kalanu was tired of this game. He snapped at the girl as she reached for his stomach. This time he would make his intentions clear and as another person reached for him. He faked at his neck and then lunged at the girls arm before jumping back several feet and snarling at them savagely and barked at them before crouching into a ready position.
Sark jumped back in shock when the ice needle appeared under him. With that, he prepared to fight back. Sark made a data shield and blocked most of fenris's attacks. However, one of the attacks got through and hit his chest. Sark then made a data sword and hacked at fenris.
Saxen looped the rope around the wolf's mouth when he faked at him to protect himself and barely manage to flip the wolf over. With the surprise attck, Saxen's "battle mode" kicked in. He could see every pressure point in this wolf's body. He started striking for the ones that would put the wolf put temporarily. "Cassie, help me hold him down!" His brain's "battle mode" allowed him to see every weak point in an enemy's body or defense. He used the darkness to augment his strength. His brain started to cloud. Soon, it would be hard to tell friends from foes.
Cassie, while slow of mind and cognizance, was not so in body and hand. As the wolf lunged at her arm, she dipped her elbow just before it reached her, then jerked it up, quickly but as lightly as she could. However, "as lightly as she could" managed to strike the wolf's chin and send him into a back flip.
"No, Momo-chan! Bad! No biting!" It was then that something even more concerning to her occurred. More precisely, two things. Saxen bound "Momo's" mouth as the wold recovered and had attacked. Once again the animal was flipped, but this time it wasn't a mere "no" tap he would be receiving. Saxen began to strike at him. Cassie had been raised in the martial arts since as long as she could remember; she knew what a pressure point strike barrage was. That was the first area of concern: Saxen was trying to cripple her new puppy.
The second area of concern was much more sinister. Cassie sensed Saxen's ki (or chi) flow change. From that of a human, to that more a kin to a Heartless. Darkness permeated his body, increasing his abilities. Like Saxen, Cassie's instinct kicked in- Save those who could not defend themselves, and vanquish the darkness.
"Don't you hurt my Momo-chan!!!"
She rushed forward, again, with surprising speed, and leaped into the air. She performed a mid-air somersault to add extra momentum and power to her technique as she extended her leg, bringing her heel down in a falling hammer-kick, aimed directly for Saxen's shoulder.
Saxen put up his shield to block the kick just before it hit him. He was lucky his battle mode was active or that kickwould have found its mark. He jumped to the side, stood up, and started yelling, keeping his barrier up. "What are you doing? I'm only trying to put him to sleep until we can get something for him! I'm not trying to kill him!" His battle mode was getting stronger. He could see exactly where to strike to kill everyone in the arena. Soon, he would try, unless someone could make him think there was no threat. But the hit-and-runner was different. No weak points. He was made entirely of data. A good EMP would take him out, but there was no EMP.
Her heel-drop missed as Saxen dodged to the side, dropping the wolf. Her heel came down to the ground. What ensued was an impact blast comparable to a small meteor. Debris and dust scattered into the air from where she had made contact with the ground. Said debris showered down on the participants of this arena's match. Though to small to do damage of any sort, it certainly lowered visibility.
To those close enough to see though the dust cloud, Cassie stood. She was now in the center of a small crater roughly two feet deep and around six feet in diameter.
Out of all that Saxen has said "put him to sleep" was all the Cassie heard. "Puppy killer!" She screamed as she crouched, bringing her hands together at the wrist slightly behind her. A white glow was born between her palms; the formation of and energy attack. She held her position; held her palms together. The sphere of white energy only grew and brightened. The EMP Saxen was looking for was soon to follow.... unfortunate that it was going to be aimed right at hime.
(Note: she hasn't fired it yet)

Saxen walked calmly over to Cassie, keeping his shield up. "Look," he started queitly, "I'm trying to knock him out temporarily, that's all. I have no intention of killing him." He looked around for someone to help his case and remembered that he was stuck fighting a wolf. "Fenris!" he yelled, "can you form a temporary pen for this wolf? I'll hold him still." He fired some dark eruptions around the wolf to distract him and slipped in to grab the wolf. "I can't keep this up for too long!" he yelled. His battle mode was still strengthening...
PS The EMP was for Sark, not Saxen. To calm the battle mode he needs to be convinced that there's no threat.
