In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Namine looked to the ground. Friend. Her friends were gone. But... They were still her friends, right? The remembrance of them hurt, for some odd reason. She had felt this way often the past few years. Erica wanted to be her friend. Just like Sora. Axel, Riku, and Roxas.
Erica was going to be her friend. She smiled. "Yeah, I would love to be your friend. And Shina's." Her luminescent eyes met with Erica's and she petted the fox on her shoulder. "But this place, right here..." She looked up to the clock tower, rising into the distance. "If we should ever get separated, let's meet here. In this alleyway. Because I always seem to lose my friends as they battle the Darkness."
Erica's grin got wider as she heard Namine say that she would be her friend. "Alright, we'll meet here every day! And don't worry, I won't lose to the darkness!" she said, standing up. Putting the popsicle stick in her pocket to throw away later, she said, "So, is there anything else you want to do? We could go to Sunset Hill, or go shopping in the Markets. Heck, we could even explore that haunted mansion on the outside of town!" Hearing the word explore, Shina jumped on Erica's shoulder, saying Ooh! Let's do that! We haven't explored anything in a while! Erica smiled and held out a hand to help Namine up. "It's your choice, Namine. Where do you want to go?"
Namine suddenly had a desire to visit her old home. The white room, her drawings still painted on the walls. The memories that Sora and Roxas would never know. Were the pictures still there? Or were they gone, like the memories they represented? (Or were they perhaps hidden from the eye, in the darker side of the Heart?) She looked up to Erica with a sense of apprehension. Was she ready to go back to that place? Where the Nobodies battled at the doorway?
With crayon in hand, she rose, and she drew a new picture on a new page. Two figures, mostly blurred, were staring at each other, and even though the drawing was a scribble, the sense of disbelief between those two figures seemed obvious.
Someday... all those memories would return. She could feel it.
She smiled. "The haunted mansion... I have never been. Sorry for the scared look. I'm a little afraid of ghosts."
"Oh." was all Erica could say as a memory of her childhood popped up. Ghosts......Erica used to fear them too. She would sit at night, her blanket covering her head as she cried. But she learned to get over that when she arrived in Traverse Town for the first time. Erica shook her head, clearing those memories away. She sat back down and said, "Well, is there anywhere you would like to go? I'm outta ideas." She yawned and stretched her arms, stretching out her tense muscles. Then she looked at Namine, waiting for an answer.
Namine smiled. "Let's go to the mansion!" She giggled and looked once more to the tower of Twilight Town.
It hit her then that this was the first time... She had been in this town. Ever. Before, she had only been in a replica. A World entirely made of data. She had never before ventured into real streets.
"After all, the only way you can beat your fears are if you stand up to them."
Maybe... If she stood up to her sadness, it would also disappear. Maybe.
Erica also jumped up, excited. She picked up Shina and put her on her shoulder, ready to run. "Let's go!" said the girl, excited.
~Time skip~
Reaching the gate a few steps before Namine, Erica pushed the gate open, walking into the courtyard. "Man, this is creepy..." she said, shivering. "I feel like I'm being watched."
The Gate slowly opened and Namine felt an odd, out-of-body sense. She... knew this feeling. She remembered watching with horror as Axel killed Vexen in a replica, after Sora had fought bravely, then, as Roxas fought the Nobodies searching for his data. It was... Scary. She was standing on a spot where none of that existed anymore. The sadness of it all crept up on her and she threw up her walls, something she had gotten better at.
Those memories, although bad, proved the strength of her emotions. Her existence. Because she had worried for Sora and Roxas. They were her best friends. Her first friends. And when they were fighting, she had fought too.
She continued inside of the gate, smiling. Her sketchbook was out, and she was defining the features of the two. Sora and Roxas looked to one another, Sora with disbelief.
"Look sharp!"
She smiled more and closed the book. One day... They would all know each other again.
"It is creepy..." She shivered, though she didn't know if it was from the feeling or the memories.
Shina went to the door, pushing it open with one of her paws. That's weird, it was unlocked.... said the fox, poking her nose inside the door. Erica walked up and pushed the door open further, looking inside. A few piles of debris was scattered here and there, giving the appearence that the building was falling down. "Now the being watched feeling is getting worse....." said Erica, shivering again. She invoked Flare and held it ready, just in case anything decided to po around the corner. Erica looked over her shoulder and said, "Namine, hurry up!"
Namine hurried forward, dodging the debris that was scattered around the mansion. She stepped inside of the door and was immediately hit by nostalgia.
The walls around her, paper peeling... The glass table near the center of the room. The glass, the garden. She approached the glass doors and stared into the garden that she used to draw. She looked to all of the different flowers that had somehow survived since she had been here, years ago. She smiled and felt a rush of emotion, something new. Was this... Homesickness? Or perhaps, a wish that the past wasn't so far away? Namine brushed the tear away and grinned, leaning against the glass.
"This place... Doesn't seem so scary after all," she said quietly. "It's so warm and golden. I think that, if anything, it is just sleeping in the morning sun."
All of the clocks, every one of them, were stopped at 10:10. She examined the room, the insignias on the wall, and sighed. "I wonder who lived here before."
"Hmm? Not scary?" said Erica, standing next to Namine. "Well, now that you mention it, it is kinda homely....." She looked at the staircases and thought. "I wonder who used to live here....They were lucky to have such a big house." She walked halfway up one of the staircases, stopping when something in the air caught her eye. It was a piece of paper, floating down on breezes that had not entered the house in years. She caught it and looked at it, stunned. "It's a drawing......" she said, getting the feeling that the drawing style looked familiar. "Namine, does this look familiar to you?" asked Erica.
Namine scrambled closer and looked at the perfectly square piece of paper. The crayon markings were starting to smear, but the picture was obvious. So familiar. She didn't know if it was good or bad that her friends had seen this.
It was a drawing of the golden-haired boy.
Namine bit her bottom lip and looked around the room. So her drawings... Not all of them had faded. The memories of the past were still here. She pulled out her sketchbook and drew a new picture, her crayon changing color as she ran it across the page. She stood beside Erica and the page fell from the sketchbook, landing on top of the older picture.
In the picture, the three of them stood in from of the glass, looking out into the golden garden. "My friend, the one I told you about, came here once. I used to draw for him." She stared at the new picture with a soft, distant expression. "This drawing is for us. So that our memories will never fade."
"Wait, you used to live here...." Erica put a hand to her head, confused. "So you and your friend are that close, huh." She looked at Namine and said, "Well, we're going to find him, no matter what it takes!" She picked up the drawings and said, "Okay, I'll need to know everything you can tell me about him. Name, age, height, stuff like that." She stopped wshen she realized her old self was kicking in, the warrior side of her that she had left in Tranvia. "Sorry, I got carried away." she said, smiling. Then a thought came to her mind. "Namine, what is the chance that I'll find my brother? He stayed behind on my world when it was dying, and I don't know if he's okay....." A single tear fell to the ground, and the threat of others followed.
Namine laughed. "No, I didn't live here. My friend just told me of his adventures, and this mansion was one of them." Her time here was over. Those memories... They should have disappeared when Sora's did. Or when Roxas' did. But they didn't. Still, now that they were alone, they didn't belong. They were like Nobodies. Without the significant other, they were empty, meaningless. So it was better they didn't exist at all in the place of having a meaningless existence.
She heard the question and stopped. Had the girl's brother... Made it?
Namine had made it through the Darkness. So had Sora. Kairi, Riku... Even though their paths had been opposite and irregular, they all made it through in the end. She put a hand on her new friend's shoulders and nodded.
"It doesn't matter how dark it gets. There is always a light, deep inside. Your brother's light... Is you. He wants to see you again, and I am sure he won't stop until he is by your side."
Just like all her friends. Even though the memories were gone, they made a promise. And that lock, holding all the chains, could never be broken. It was just hidden deep within their Hearts.
"Yeah. He'll be okay as long as I worry for him." said Erica, looking down at her locket, which was opened in her hand. That picture was one of her most prized possesions, for it was the only picture she had of her parents. "Arthas, if you can hear me, please find me so I can know you're okay." she whispered, clicking the locket shut. Shina laid in the sunlight coming through the window, watching Erica as she looked down.
Suddenly, Erica broke out in tears and hugged Namine. "I can't take it anymore!" she sobbed. "It's been too long since I left Tranvia! I had to watch the Heartless attack my parents! I want to eliminate them so bad! What should I do, Namine?" She cried on Namine's shulder, glad that she had finally found a friend in these worlds, but also feeling sorrow for the losses she had had to deal with.
How to get through it. Namine... She didn't know. That was why she was in the alleyway. She didn't know where to go next. Or how to get there. So she sat there, drawing memories of better days, waiting for an answer that would never come.
She felt her newfound friend clutching to her and hugged her lightly, her eyes focused on nothing. She was going through the same question now. How would she do it? She didn't know. She could feel the darkness closing in, the despair... She closed her eyes, the tears rising to the surface- And saw a light in the distance.
Deep in her Heart, Roxas waved her forward.
She smiled then. He was still there. Even though he probably could not feel her wherever she was, he was in her Heart. And he believed in her. He was telling her, "Come on! What are you waiting for, Namine?" Beckoning her to other Worlds.
Because she had never been. She had only heard Roxas' stories of his adventures, and of Sora's adventures. And now, it was her turn. It was her turn to write a story, to draw a new picture, and find him, just like he had found her. She would find more friends in other Worlds, just like he had. And possibly, find enemies. But wasn't that a normal part of a good story? For once, Namine would be the savior. Unlike the times Sora, Axel, or Roxas had saved her.
She looked at Shina, then pulled Erica and looked into her eyes. "Your Heart is your most powerful weapon. With it... You can do anything." A tear of happiness fell from her cheek as she remembered the words Sora spoke once. "The people we love are out there. It's our turn to find them, to be the guardians. It's true, we're the unlikely heroes, but we can do it. We can be each other's support."
