In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Xabar wandered about in Twilight Town, searching for a certain group of people: A group of people who call themselves the Disciplinary Committee. Xabar is a tall man who wears a red shirt bearing a black X, along with red jeans. He has pitch-black skin and wears black sunglasses. He has black shoulder plates and a black cape, making him look royal or elegant.
As Xabar wandered into the sandlot, he saw people playing with toy swords. Child's play... [/i]He thought to himself. I could beat them all any day. [/i]Debating whether to watch or join, he decided to sit on a bench and wait... He didn't want to maim the people he may be searching for.

((Hope you don't mind my intruding! I just got my character cleared and I really wanted to RP. Let's have fun, mm'kay?))
"Of course I'm the one who has to work the cart," Bell grumbled to herself, struggling to push the freezer-cart along to it's final destination: the Sandlot. It was yet another bright and breezy afternoon in Twilight Town, and, having complained to Orthello all day about wanting to go outside, Bell finally got her chance. Of course, he wouldn't allow her to take any time off to do so. "Stupid Kimchi."
Bell pushed and pushed, making sure to steer clear of any stray balls that crossed her path, or any kids for that matter (they were ALWAYS running around) all the while struggling to keep the cart moving at a steady pace. Just her luck that the day she wanted to go outside she had to take the cart with her, nonetheless a cart chalk full of sea salt ice cream bars. It was so full, Bell was surprised it wasn't overflowing yet.
"I really wish someone would just buy half of these bars so I can get through the day without breaking my back." The girl huffed, wiping at her eyes. She decided that, rather than waiting around for someone to spontaneously buy half her ice cream bars, she would draw in customers, effectively saving her back for the day. That being said, she dropped her end of the cart, ran around to her designated side, popped open a secret compartment filled with all kinds of quirky things, and set up her stand.
"SEA SALT ICE CREAM! COME AND GET IT! ONLY TWO MUNNIES EACH!"
Bell called for people to come buy something, ringing her cowbell frantically. She noticed a strange man sitting on a bench a little way's away. She wasn't quite sure why, but she felt a bit apprehensive when she gazed upon him. The feeling was fleeting, however, and all that Bell was left to do was hope he wouldn't cause trouble.

((No problem. The thread is open, so anyone can join.))
As Xabar was sitting on this bench, he saw a woman pushing a cart. "SEA SALT ICE CREAM! COME AND GET IT! ONLY TWO MUNNIES EACH!" Xabar had collected a lot of munny from killing Nobodies, but had not reason to spend it yet. He went over to the cart with the woman and gave her two munnies. "One, please."

Bell rang her bell, calling for customers, watching without interest at an unofficial Struggle match took place beside her. She wondered if Kimchi was into Struggle like everyone else in town was. Thinking about him playing the game made her giggle a bit.
Her contemplation stopped, however, when she noticed the man she had seen off in the distance was making a beeline right for her cart, interested in purchasing ice cream (obviously). Not a problem, Bell thought. She'll just take his money and give him his ice cream. No funny business, and no shying away.
Resolve steeled, Bell prepared to accept the man's presence until she noticed how much bigger he got as he drew nearer and nearer.
If Bell felt weird about this guy before, then her scared radar was going off the charts now! Here, standing before her was a pitch-black...man...thing, decked out in black and red, towering over her at, what she guessed, six-foot-three. That same, intimidating individual was asking her for an ice cream. What a funny sight.
Well, not so much funny as nerve-wrecking for Bell, who has the hardest time talking to people already. How much more someone she instinctively felt scared of?
Realizing she was staring at the customer (which is not polite), Bell squeezed her eyes shut, only to open them promptly. She extended an unsteady hand to receive the man's munny, gulping as she felt the coins drop into her hands.
"One, please."
This is no time to freeze up, Bell resolved, tucking the coins away into her munny pouch. She reached into the freezer and pulled out the customer's ice cream bar, handing it off to the man.
"Here you go," She muttered, sweat building on her forehead. "Thank you for your--"
"Hey, watch out!"
Bell heard the warning too late, cradling her once extended hand to her chest. Seems as though the shout came from one of the teens playing Struggle she had been watching earlier. His partner had lost his grip on the bat when he was swinging back to strike. Said bat had flown through the air and smashed right against Bell's hand, landing into the still open freezer compartment.
Bell hardly noticed the pain, realizing that the man's ice cream bar now lay smushed on the ground, melting quickly under the afternoon sun.
"Uh..."

Xabar saw the scared look in the ice cream cart woman's eyes. He didn't say anything about it - he just proceeded. As she picked up his ice cream, her hand was suddenly hit by a foul swing of a struggle club. It then landed in the ice cream cart she was pushing. "Hey, are you okay? Xabar leanded down and looked concerned, but he really wasn't. He just liked to make fake friends to help him build power.

This guy was actually concerned about her? Strange. From what Bell had gathered (assumed), he was a scary beast (man) who wouldn't ever show any emotion. Well...
Bell gazed up at the man towering over her.
Okay, so the emotion still wasn't there-- it wasn't reaching his eyes...er, eye, she supposed. She couldn't see much of his left one at all, what with the hair in the way and all.
Regardless, he was being decent enough to ask about her well being. For Bell, that was good enough.
"I'm fine," she bluffed, flapping her arm a bit. "It only hurts a little." Of course it didn't. It hurt a lot! She hoped the man wouldn't be able to see through her itsy-bitsy white lie. Even if he did, well...
"Thank you," Bell rushed out, reaching into the freezer to grab him another ice cream bar, pausing when she noticed the bat sticking out. She took hold of the bat with her good hand, throwing it to the ground beside her-- she'd have to remember to scold those teens later (and they didn't even bother to come say they were sorry?!)-- while simultaneously pulling out the fresh bar with her injured hand. Just by the way the cool air of the freezer soothed her burning hot wrist/forearm, she knew it wasn't just a minor injury, as she had hoped. Okay, so that wasn't her only hint. The fact that she felt her grip slip on the bar due to the pain she felt was a big clue too.
Holding the ice cream out for the man, Bell gave him a timid smile. She hoped he would take it soon; it'd be really embarrassing if she dropped yet another Sea Salt bar.

After Xabar showed his 'concern' for the woman, she said she was fine, so he just left it at that. She pulled the bat out of the freezer and tossed it on the ground. After that, she used her bad hand to reach in and get the ice cream for Xabar. He took it as soon as she reached out her arm for him. "Thank you."
Now, Xabar went back to the bench and started to eat. Maybe I should struggle... it could earn me respect... maybe.... [/i] After eating a bit of his sea salt, he went back over to the cart to pick up the struggle club. After picking it up, he went back to the bench and continued his ice cream.
((Sorry my posts aren't all that long, but I'm not really that good at doing emotion and inside stuff while RPing.))
((No no, you're fine. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Got caught up in stuff, plus I didn't really know how to keep going. Haha! Hopefully, this'll work.))
Bell watched the man as he moved to the bench for a little while, before stalking back in her direction. She wondered if he didn't like the ice cream and had come back to yell at her or something...until she noticed he had simply wanted the Struggle bat that had practically destroyed her arm moments ago. She watched the man wander back over to the bench, seeming to be contemplating something.
"Hmm...I wonder what he's thinking about," Bell muttered to herself, leaning against the cart. She continued watching the mysterious man until he was almost finished with his ice cream bar. After realizing that she was absolutely bored and didn't think anymore customers would come, she closed down her cart and rushed over to the man, sitting herself down on the bench beside him (and by beside him, it's meant that she was barely on the corner farthest from him).
"Hello, Sir." Bell struggled to keep her voice steady. She was going to get over this painful shyness she had-- she swore it! If she didn't, then who knows how well she'd fair in the world? "Did you like your ice cream?"
When Xabar was almost done with his ice cream, the woman he bought it from walked over to him. She sat on the bench and said hello in a shaky voice. "Did you like the ice cream?" Xabar, of course, was surprised that the woman came because of how scared she seemed of him. "Yes, I did. Thank you. He then thought to introduce himself. "I am Lord Xabar of the planet Anhnyqueg. Who are you?"
(Again, sorry for the short post. I'm not the best RPer. I'm working on it.)
The man...had an official title? Bell gulped, starting her heart again. This was really no time for her innards to stop functioning. What in the world was a man of such a high stature (Bell assumed) doing in quaint ol' Twilight Town? Eating Sea Salt ice cream so nonchalantly in the Sandlot nonetheless!
"Wow..." She whispered, more to herself than to Xabar-- Lord Xabar, "A l-lord, huh? Im...pressive." Just her luck the person she decided to practice her conversation skills with would turn out to be some high official of some planet!
A thought struck Bell: was he here for royal-peoples duties or whatever it is they do? Or was it because he was summoned? But by who? No one of importance or anyone holding power lived in Twilight Town. Maybe...did his planet get swallowed?
Bell couldn't help feeling depressed at the thought of his home planet having disappeared. Of course, she wasn't positive this was why he was here, but still. If that was the case, that was terrible.
Heart now heavy with empathy, Bell couldn't help but forget about her disorder. "Nice to meet you, Lord Xabar," She leaned forward on her knees, peering in Xabar's direction. "I'm Bell Shiroshiko, of Traverse Town. I'm here staying with Orthello. He owns the Sea Salt Parlor down a ways from here." Bell graced Xabar with a tiny smile. She wanted to know this man's story, more than she wanted to be afraid of him (she knew already that she didn't like being afraid of him,) making things that much easier for her to chat it up with the lord. "Can I ask why you, someone with such a title, is out here in Twilight Town?" She glanced at Xabar questioningly, wondering whether he would feel comfortable enough to share his story with her.
The woman seemed impressed upon Xabar being a Lord, but that was of low report to Xabar himself. She then introduced herself, saying her name was Bell Shiroshiko of Traverse Town. After this, Bell gave Xabar a smile, which confused him a bit. . . . Then she asked Xabar a question he never thought he'd hear: "Can I ask why you, someone with such a title, is out here in Twilight Town?"
"That is a strange story. Allow me to start at the beginning.
Anhnyqueg is a world that is always in a civil war. Don't get me wrong - I love to fight. I didn't grow weary of fighting. I grew weary of where I fought. About the time I was thinking about searching around and leaving, I found out my rival was building a gummi ship. 'That's the perfect chance to get away,' I thought, so I decided to stow away on it when he left. We ended up here and he never knew I stowed away. He stayed here for a few months then left for another world. I, however, found favor here and decided to stay.
"Now, what is your story? You say you're from Traverse Town. Why aren't you there now?"

((Sorry I've been gone for quite some time. I've been ridiculously busy with life. I hope you don't mind my lack of posting! :[ ))
Bell instantly shut up; there was no way that she felt Xabar would want to hear her story, it with it's bleak plot and drab execution. She supposed that it was only fair to let him know a little more about herself, however, she would keep it simple. There was no need to go into detail. Who knows what he would think of her: the freak with dirty blood.
"Hmm...to put it simply, my parents sent me here to live with Orthello because they had a hunch that Traverse Town would disappear next." Bell tilted her head, wondering if she should in fact spew out more info about herself. "So now I'm here, and have been here for a while, and will most likely be here for years to come." Bell scoffed. "I still don't understand why you would want to come to such a boring place. I mean-- if you come from Anhnyqueg, wouldn't you rather live on a planet more upbeat, if not, entertaining than Twilight Town? I know you were a stow away and all...but it just seems...weird."
Bell couldn't believe she was talking like a regular human being does with another human being! This was probably the first time she's been able to keep a constant steadiness in her tone, not to mention dismiss her anxious tendencies. She was liking this big guy more and more, simply because he was helping her to break her habit, without even knowing it!
"Even if you don't really want to be here, how do you plan on leaving?"
