In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The path finally comes to an end at the highest most part of the great tree's trunk, where all of the gnarled limbs and branches convene. Within that cradle, the nook formed by the limbs over the direct center of the trunk, was large yet shoddily built edifice. It was as though someone had built a full scale mansion out of nothing more than scrap wood. Its size filled the view of our heroes- appearing to have been built right into the branches, as through they had been weaved into the very supports of the building. The door was large and thick with a handle shaped like an insect. When they tried it... they found that the door is unlocked.
Arthas pushed the door open, leading the party. "Okay, I was expecting more of a challenge..." he murmured, walking in and looking around. Insects covered the walls and the floor, which seemed to be part of the tree. "Be wary." said Arthas over his shoulder, and walked in. It was almost pitch-black in the house, but fortunately his dragon form allowed him to see in the dark. He stayed in the front of the group, his katana resting on his shoulder, just in case something decided to pop out at him.
((Apologies for the delay, suffered some technical difficulties with Proboards' Maintenance Mode xD))
However, before either Shiro or V could reply, the man in silver had made himself known as he walked toward the small group of nine that continued to gather around the townsquare's green fountain. The ghost was welcomed with many curious looks, though the one he would receive from Mikael would be one of suspicion. Where the hell was Zephyr? Wasn't he supposed to "protect" her from the dangers of this new world?
"...For those that would like, however, we have a slight problem. The girl that I was with was taken by a villain of this world known as Oogie Boogie..."[/color][/i]
Furrowing his brow, Mikael proceeded to blinkblink at the son of nothingness. Why didn't Jason, being the wise and all powerful being he seemed to be, stop this villain? But anyway, antagonizing him wouldn't be of any use. By paying close attention to Jason's description, he could tell that this "Oogie Boogie" was indeed a weakling; a sack full of bugs would be easily killed by a small fire. Yeah, the teenager was strong enough to deal with this creature. "Zephyr must be rescued at all costs. My blade and flames are yours to command."
Mikael proceeded to follow the seer, marching behind him to what seemed to be a small hill. Oh, and what a curious hill it was! It had tints of purple and grey, going up the hill and dying at the small swirl at the end. However, there didn't seem to be a path AFTER this peculiar curly hill. Where they going toward a dead end? Suddenly he heard a small squish below him, leading him to turn his gaze down to the ground. Lifting his foot, he realized he had killed... a bug? The man slowed his pace and observed the small trail of insects climbing the hill. Perhaps they were going in the right direction...
Mikael continue to advance further along with the other nine individuals, as a random spunky girl had decided to go in another direction. Such egocentrical attitudes, prefering to explore the world than saving a damsel in distress. The man glanced back every second or two, and noticed that the Daisuke freak continued to stare at him. What was he, some sort of stalker? He shook those thoughts away from his head, gazing ahead as Jason did some tricks behind a tombstone to make the hill uncurl. They all continued to walk forward until they reached a large tree.
The path seemed to divide into two, and before he knew it the group was starting to split up. Four decided to go down the rabbit's hole by following the lower path, including the random punching child and his victim. A soft chuckle escaped his lips as Mikael remembered the scare he gave Ravian; he sure hoped he had learned to be careful from now on. The upper path, on the other hand, was being followed by the remaining members of the expedition: Jason, Arthas, Daisuke and the gentleman of blue. It was indeed a tough choice, but the pyromancer ultimately decided to follow Shiro and the others as they seemed like an easier target than the other group.
ZOOM!
The man couldn't help but to take a few steps back upon feeling the colision between skulls, bringing a hand to his head to rub it slightly. Jispo had started to drag him toward another direction and it took a while for Mikael to snap out of the confusion and realize what was going on. His eyes widened in surprise when they noticed the furry head of the summon, his claws clutching the man's jacket in an attempt to take him somewhere.
"Jispo! It's you!" he happily exclaimed, gently pulling the creature away from his shoulder and hugging him with joy. The little critter seemed to know something about Zephyr's whereabouts and Mikael was sure than the bond she shared with Jispo was the biggest lead they had now. Both of them were now in front of the upper path and the pyromancer immediately understood what the summon wanted to say. "They went up there, right?" he asked, placing the flying squirrel on his left shoulder once again. "All right, let us go. There's a damsel in distress awaiting!"
Mikael would continue to follow the upper path, eventually catching up with the rest of the group. His brow furrowed once again upon having Arthas open the door with ease. Yes, it was too easy... something wasn't right. Noticing the darkness ahead, Mikael closed his eyes and summoned five floating fireballs to assist them, one for each member of the expedition. Finally, he drew out Flame's End, ready to use it against any future threats. "This will give us some light. Proceed with caution, there may be hidden traps all over the place."
Following the path with Jason, Arthas, the blue knight and after that Mikael joined us. At the end of the path there was a door. Arthas opened it and Mikael used his magic and summoned 5 fire elements or fire balls as they seemed, for each of us. Daisuke was amazed of such magic! He never saw such things in his world, heck, the people in his world didn't even believe in magic. So this was a first sight for him. The fireballs were no fakes, as most ''magicians'' in his world would have faked it. He glanced at the fireball as if it was something legendary to him! He wanted to ask how he did it, but before he could open his mouth, Mikael warned us:
'' This will give us some light. Proceed with caution, there may be hidden traps all over the place "
so with that, he left the question for later, now he had to concentrate for any danger that might occur. But at the same time he was questioned and of course amazed, so he thought:
''That was amazing! Mikael is like a magician or something. I would read books on and on about these kind of heroes! They were my idols! Using magic to keep order and save lives! But I won't get ahead of my self... He seems like a powerful man, but he cannot be trusted so easily. If he is that powerful than I have to be prepared for anything. I just hope he won't be too much of a problem, than of use.''
after some thought he sighed and became more aware as he entered the mansion. He didn't want to comment on anything at the moment, because talking might distract him.

Jason watched the group that would head up with him as they eventually came to an unlocked door. He didn't entirely like being the complete leader of everyone, but he knew that he may have to if it came to that. Arthas had pulled out his katana as he opened the door, while Mikael pulled out his sword after having summoned 5 fireballs to follow the individuals of the group. Daisuke seemed to be amazed with the fireballs that Mikael had summoned, but Jason just looked at them briefly before holding out his hand.
His staff appeared in his hand with a flash of light, giving him his own weapon to use. He then reached into one of the many pockets on the inside of his trenchcoat and pulled out his crystal ball, placing it on the point of his staff. He nodded to the words that Mikael had said and waiting to see what would happen next.
Ray waited until the others had entered before following them, keeping quiet, though he couldn't help but smile at Daisuke's apparent amazement with magic. So the young man doesn't have much experience with it...
Ray formed two small ice platforms under his feet, deciding to move those and float over the ground rather than risk falling into some sort of trap. Ray kept his hold on his sword firm, his muscles tense even as he tried to calm his mind.
Now equipped with lighting, our five adventurers can get a better look at their surroundings. Though the exterior to the mansion had been shoddy, the interior, though also shoddy, was well furnished. They now stood on a large red rug that led in from the door into the center of the antechamber. To the left and right were staircases. They both led upwards to small balconies on the left and right sides of the room. Each balcony had a door that led into another room.
On the floor they were on, (floor 1) there were also doors. One on the left wall, beneath the left balcony, one in the center on the back wall directly ahead of them, and one on the right wall, beneath the right balcony.
So many choices. So little time. Yes, they could all stay together and check them all... but each second they spent on wrong doors was another second spent with that poor girl in the clutches of the monstrous Oogie. Then again, to split up would remove the safety of the group.
It was quite amusing... you know, the path Mikael had followed that day. It had all started with Max's little arrival message instructing the pyromancer to meet him at the Third District as-soon-as-possible to initiate the recruitment. Indeed, the younger man had been doing a couple of things besides training; literally stalking other fellow warriors and dubbing them as "candidates" for Guardians of the Worlds' membership status. Pretty witty, huh?
After scouting the meeting point for a couple of hours, it was obvious that the hydromancer wasn't there. Interesting... first time Max had failed to meet him in time. Eventually Mikael ended up at the silly café, where all the Oogie Boogie jazz started to unite a group of strangers and head for Halloween Town. However, the pyromancer didn't join the party immediately but rather decided to send an emergency message to Max so they met at the café.
He never came.
BUT, Mikael succeeded in recruiting a rather big group of warriors into the Guardians: Arthas Kinohorin, the Impatient Swordsman; Rokaku, the Wildlife Tamer; Jack Styx, the Energetic Child; Sir Lucas, the Wolf Knight; Heaven, the Celestial Summoner; and Daisuke, the Freaky... Guy. And when it all seemed to be glitter, sugar and sparkles, Arthas just HAD to jump into the dark portal.
Yes, the one leading to the world of Halloween.
And... you probably know the rest of the story. Mikael and Daisuke chased him down the rabbit hole, ended up in Halloween Town, joined Jason's Rescue Team and followed the upper path when the party split in half. They would soon dance the Ceiling Swing Mix, but for now...
Mikael continued his journey through the mansion, aided by a generous fireball to see in the room's eternal darkness. As his eyes began to get used to the light, he began to notice they were actually in some sort of welcoming hall. Another crossroad was to be found by the heroes and it leaded to five different paths. The number could not be a coincidence; this Oogie Boogie was sure planning to split the pentagon and have some fun with each of them. Oh well, at least this told the pyromancert that Jispo was right; they had followed the right path.
"This must be a trap to split us apart," he began, turning to face his companions. Something was telling him to follow the central path, but Mikael knew some of the doors would lead to the traps. "Those who cannot stand alone will need to team up with someone able to fight. The lower left and right paths are probably fake, so I would avoid them." One had to avoid doing the obvious and think like a villian. The man proceeded to walk toward his chosen path with the squirrel still sitting on his shoulder.
"Oh, and one more thing," Mikael said right after opening the door. His hand clutched the doorknob tightly as he continued. "If you find Zephyr, tap your fireball and I'll know. They were created from my very own energy and the flames are my element, so there's a link between us." The pyromancer proceeded to step inside the newfound room as a soft chuckle escaped his lips.

Jason watched the people move about and looked at the doors that were now before him. Mikael was first to speak about them, stating that the lower left and right doors were most likely fake. As to what led to such an observation was confusing to Jason, but he didn't question it. He had led the group here thus far, and didn't care to do so anymore. So he listened to what was said and watched Mikael go toward the center door.
Jason looked toward the doors, avoiding the ones that Mikael so miraculously deduced that were fake, as well as the one that Mikael had walked toward. It led to the two above the group. A swift jump in the air allowed Jason to quickly reach the door on the right, but upstairs. He did not say anything, but merely opened the door and peered inside, hoping to see something that he could use to help.
