Name: Judge Magister Zargabaath
Nickname(optional): Captain of the Alexander
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Species: Human (Hume)
Position: Good. Judge Magister (he highest rank possible in the Archadian Empire)
Powers: None, Zaragbaath prefers hand to hand combat
Weapon: Dual Broadwords
Picture(optional):Appearance: When in full armor, Zargabaath appears as a tall, menacing figure that could easily intimidate most opponents. His helmet is shaped like the head of a bull, and like the rest of his armor is mad of steel with the exception of his cape. When his helmet is off, he is shown to have short grey hair, and blue eyes. His height is slightly above average for his age.
Personality: Zargabaath is the kind of person who like to keep a low profile, he speaks only when it is absolutely necessary. He has a quiet and reserved attitude and prefers not to get involved in conflicts, which do not concern him. Though his loyalty to the Archadian Empire is unquestionable he does regret the effects of some of their actions, and sometimes feels that the blame falls on him to make up for those actions. He is polite towards others, and knows that he doesn’t want too many enemies. It is also known that he does have concern for the safety of those around him as he was willing to sacrifice himself to save millions of lives.
History/Background:It is not known where or when Zargabaath was born, or what kind of childhood he had though since he was raised in Archadia it can be assumed that he grew up in a culture of militarism. It is known that he joined the Imperial Archadian Ministry of Law at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks to become a Judge Magister.
He is first seen (in FFXII) prior to the death of Emperor Gramis Solidor warning Judge Drace not to dig too deeply into matters that do not concern her, Zargabaath is very reserved, only speaking when he needs to.
While Zargabaath didn't object to Vayne Solidor’s becoming autocrat (following his fathers death) of the Archadian Empire, he tried to get Vayne to spare Drace's life after she (correctly) accused Vayne of the murder of his father. However, Judge Bergan was more than willing to help out in Drace's execution.
Commanding the Alexander, he also led the newly formed 12th Fleet to Mt. Bur-Omisace. However, he did not engage in combat, he was just transporting troops. Zargabaath regrets leading the assault to the Holy mountain.
Zargabaath is then seen leading the Imperial fleet defending the Sky Fortress Bahamut. It was up to him to block all resistance fire while the Bahamut's cannon charged. After Vayne is killed, the Bahamut starts to fall onto Rabanastre. Zargabaath was willing to ram the Alexander into sky fortress to save the people of Dalmasca, but didn't have to, thanks to interference from Balthier and Fran. As such, Zargabaath is the only Judge Magister to survive the whole story of Final Fantasy XII.
After the war Archadia became committed to peace and freedom, though the nation still retained the title of Empire. Zargabaath had hoped that the peace in Ivalice would last forever. However this was not the case, as the world was soon attacked by the heartless intent on conquering the world. Zargabaath was on board his flagship the Alexander with the rest of the 12th Fleet, and was commanding routine fleet exercises at the time of the attack. Ivalice was completely destroyed in the attack. Zargabaath, and his 12th Fleet were transported away from Ivalice through some sort of black vortex. The fleet appeared over a large town of some architecture unknown to Zargabaath (unbeknownst to him it was Traverse Town). After disembarking from his ship and speaking with the locals, Zargabaath learned that the creatures that attacked his world were called Heartless, and that his world had been destroyed by them. Zargabaath is now traveling with his fleet from world to world seeking to find a way to restore Ivalice and to have his revenge on the Heartless that destroyed his home.
Role Playing Sample:The bridge of the Alexander was buzzing with activity while traveling over a world with some sort of deep gorge with the rest of the 12th Fleet. Ever since the destruction of Ivalice, the 12th Fleet had been traveling to different worlds in search of the creatures that had orchestrated the destruction of it, the Heartless. Although Zaragbaath had seen many Heartless since Ivalice’s destruction, he was not convinced that these seemingly simple minded creatures could destroy an entire world. There had to be someone or something pulling the strings. But what could it be?
As Zargabaath was pondering this one of his officers called out to him, “Sir, multiple contacts below our position, presumably hostile.” Zargabaath looked up quietly. This event had come as no surprise to him, he had seen heartless almost everywhere he went. However Zargabaath’s lack of surprise changed nothing about his feelings towards them. To him, the heartless were filthy creatures who had to be destroyed. His revenge would not be satisfied until every last Heartless had been eradicated.
He sent out a message over the intercom, that reached to other ships of the fleet, “All lower guns fire at will, burn them all to crisp.” Zargabaath was disappointed that he didn’t have time to position his fleet so that all of their guns could be brought to bear on the heartless, he wanted them to feel as much pain as possible, the same kind of pain that he felt when his world was destroyed. Of course it didn’t matter how many guns were trained on the heartless, they would all be destroyed soon enough. Zargabaath was letting his anger and thirst for revenge, get the best of him. Perhaps it would lead him down a road that he’d best not tread. Time would only tell.
Questions?-This isn’t really a question but it seemed like a good place for me to say this:
I know having my own airship fleet to attack with might seem like godmoding, so I promise not to use my ships to fight very much and when I want to I will ask the mods permission first.
