In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Powers: Shapeshifting: Used in stealth and recon missions, his preferred kind, Myde can change his body at will. His fife, though, will always hang at his neck. He can change to the appearance of a specific humanoid after studying them for several rounds.
Color Change: Myde controls the flying spellcaster Heartless. When playing his fife, he can have them change color (and therefore element) to the beat.
Water Control: Myde can summon and control water at will. His attacks that employ this include a high-pressure water blast from his fife and a boiling geyser blast.
Maestro Aura: Heartless present during Myde's playing are slightly tougher, stronger, and faster than most. This aura extends to fellow XII members.
Myst: Myde can summon a thick fog throughout the area, slowing down anyone in it except him. This is not time magic. The increased weight of the air hampers movement. He can travel and see through the fog as if it wasn't there.
Weapon(s): A fife that Myde carries around in a green pouch around his neck and shoulder, which he uses to cast magic. The pouch has no openings, those who can use the Corridors of Darkness can do so to reach inside. Myde also can summon a green-hilted scimitar when reduced to melee fighting that has no special powers but is wonderfully made. A nonmagical steel dagger is always at his waist.

Appearance: A brown leather tunic under a dark blue vest and black pants flared out slightly at the bottom usually adorn Myde, although he experiments with different looks. His medium length messy hair is a very dark green, with brown specks almost indistinguishable amid the tangle that falls just above his ears. His eyes, in contrast, are shockingly bright blue and often have a jovial glint in them. His skin is completely untanned, and he wears a green pouch with small etchings in which he carries his fife.
Personality: Myde is a trickster by trade and nature. He loves pranks, tricks, and jokes above all else. He isn't above using his heartless powers to assume the shape of someone else to gain a target's trust before unleashing a prank. He dislikes killing and open warfare, preferring to humiliate his opponents or leave them unable to fight before accomplishing his goals. He'll slip a pun into his sentences every so often, just to see if people will get them.
Myde also loves music, and will play the fife wherever he goes. He often plays it during battle, and his heartless bob to the beat. In his free time, Myde conducts musicals and is often found conducting heartless on a special stage in the Castle of Abyss. One of his previous works involved two large bodies, two neoshadows, an air soldier, and a dusk. The dusk was captured for interrogation, then forced to obey Myde's will, which involved dancing.
Myde is on good terms with many members of the XII, though with the exception of Braig he finds them quite high-strung. He and Relena are often involved in some sort of prank war.
Current Residing World: The World that Never Was
History/Background: Myde doesn't know about his past life, and doesn't really care. He knows Demyx, and they share a mutual hatred. Each thinks that the other does not understand TRUE music, and Myde will go to any lengths to beat his melodies into his nobody. His earliest memory is of a woodland in Twilight Town. He woke up there, enjoying the serenity. He found his fife at his feet, and instinctively started playing. After finishing his tune, slow applause was heard coming from a black-cloaked man across the glen. The man, Ansem, invited Myde to join The Dark XII.
After joining, Myde met Sephiroth. Joining a small alliance of convenience with the One-Winged Angel, the Wayman gained the materia to summon geysers, previously used for Sephiroth's flame columns, in exchange for usurping Ansem. Though the attempt failed (and largely went unnoticed), Sephiroth allowed Myde to keep the materia and his life in exchange for occasional updates and favors.
