In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Name: Emily Nickname(optional): Chestnut The Human Rubber Band!
Age:16
Gender: …How many male Emily’s have you met? (Of course she’s female.)
Species: Circus Freak (Because that’s a species)
Position: Uninformed. Emily isn’t that familiar with light and dark due to her place in the circus for many years. But if she had to choose, she would most likely side with the good guys.
Power(s): Emily is extremely flexile and agile, allowing her to perform a variety of flips and twist herself into complicated poses.
Weapon(s): None, Emily has no need for a weapon, being in the circus, she is kept from the dangerous worlds she lives in, and therefore doesn’t need a weapon, because she is never faced with any threat besides fellow circus members.
Picture(optional): None at the moment! I’ll upload one soon enough…
Appearance: Emily is short for her age, only 5’ tall, but it makes it easier for her to twist like she does. She’s also quite flat-chested compared to other 16 year old girls you might see. But, Emily is quite small and petite; her body and limbs are slender, with little to no fat due to how much she exercises. Although, the teen is quite pale. She spends most of her time cooped up in the circus tent or in her trailer, slaving away for her ringmaster, lucky to get even a five minute break.
Her shoulder-length hair, most people would agree, is a luscious chestnut color, and almost always pulled into pig-tailed which lay on her shoulders gracefully. Complementing her hair nicely are her green eyes. Wide and round, these glowing orbs show her everlasting curiosity. Emily’s features are mainly soft and gentle, her head an oval-like shape.
Emily is usually seen wearing a brightly colored leotard when at the circus, for her act. But while she’s out and about, (which is not very often) she usually wears plain cotton dresses; usually green or blue, to compliment her eyes, and a comfortable pair of shoes.
Personality: Emily is considered a happy person, even obnoxiously happy, at times. This bright time is constantly looking on the bright side of life, most always wearing a bright and shiny smile on her face. She’s known for helping people out, listening when someone needs to talk. But she has her own faults as well. Because of her constant happy exterior, some of her inner, darker feelings get suppressed, bottled up inside. And as a result, Emily will have her break-downs when her stress just overflows. However, the twisty teen has perfected the skill of keeping her bottle of negative emotions closed in order to sympathize for the people around her. As well as being insecure, being in an circus with everyone older than herself, Emily is very naïve and gullible, believing everything she is told. If her child-like beliefs had not been slaughtered, she would still believe in Santa-Clause, but her fellow circus-mates talked her out of that fantasy.
Original World: Destiny Islands Current Residing World: She doesn’t have one, the circus which she resides in travels, so she does as well. History/Background: 16 years ago on August 6th, Emily was born to Lucas and Stella Pail. They were a happy family of four, Emily the youngest, and her sister Charlotte the oldest, neither of the girls favored. But as the girls grew, it was evident that their parents were not well, and it became increasingly hard for Lucas and Stella to parent with each passing. Feeling it was their fault, the girls schemed to run away from home to let their parents live without the aches of parenthood. So one foggy evening the girls set off into the darkness, Charlotte leading the way.
After a while of wandering the main island, unsure of where to go, the girls came across a dark figure. The man told them of an escape, a colorful, wonderful place that would bring joy to their hearts and help spread happiness throughout the worlds. Not giving Emily the chance to doubt her decision, Charlotte told the man he had sold them on the idea.
Soon after traveling through a curious portal of some sort, the two arrived in the most wonderful place they had ever seen; the circus. Complete with entrancing dancers, friendly-looking animals, and fascinating performers. The sisters caught on fast, quickly gaining their places among the circus freaks. Emily became a contortionist, taking on Chestnut as a stage name.
As for Charlotte, she had more of a book worm for most of her life, not really interested in any of the acts the man -who turned out to be the ringmaster- offered her. Eventually Nightshade (the ringmaster) was so fed up with Charlotte’s stubborn attitude, he shoved her into an elaborate costume and told her to walk to tight rope one dark night at practice. And to make it more interesting, he removed the safety net. Shocked, Emily tried to talk Nightshade out of making her sister do this, but he would he would not budge.
Unfortunately for the older sister, Charlotte has no sense of balance, and as soon as she got onto the rope, she stumbled, hanging onto the rope by the skin of her teeth. The rest of the circus howled for her to give up, knowing the ringmaster would likely kick her out if she was injured, for what good is a hurt performer? But Emily stayed true to her sister, cheering her on through the crowd of howlers.
It was all a blur from that point, for poor Emily. One second her sister had been dangling from the striped tight rope, struggling to get back on. The next, there was no sister on that rope. She had fallen, and the crowd of bashers had encircled her, snarling and pushing her about. Emily couldn’t take her. “Kick me out instead! Not Charlotte! Not my sister, please!” She had pleaded, but Nightshade only scoffed, shoving Emily’s only sister out on the streets with nothing, destined to die.
Emily would never forget how much she cried that night for her sister. And even to this day she thinks of her.
The brutal circus slave-driving only seemed to get worse after the departure of Emily’s dear sister. It was, in fact, not as friendly and inviting, as she had once thought. Nightshade constantly hosted practices, kicking any slackers out onto the street, while Emily strived to be her best, determined to end up better than her sister.
After spending all the time she had in Mother Nature’s Circus, Emily had acquired a few ‘friends’ who she would occasionally chat with; Bridget, a friendly tight-rope walker (imagine that), Brody, a temperamental body builder, Jeff, a mysterious mime, and even Nightshade, the ringmaster who she had learned was actually named Ryan. Her favorite boy’s name.
Presently, Emily is the circus’ showcased act, advertised on all of the circus’ billboards and posters. Although Emily had never caught on, this is the result of becoming one of Ryan’s very favorite performers.
Role Playing Sample: See Kairi.
Questions/Comments/Suggestions? Some things I couldn’t incorporate into the profile; The Circus travels via the ringmaster’s dark portals. But this does not mean the rest of the circus is in the darkness, however some of the performers are. None are nobodies or heartless, however. I hope this is alright. Also! Because she ran away at such a young age (8), she never received a full education, thus she cannot read and write (well, anyway), and she considers what she does her only talent.
