In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Axel raised his head and focused back on Skylar when the boy answered.
"Well, nice to meet you Skylar. And... now, that's the tricky part. I have... basic info about it, but not much. I know a lot of people end up traveling between worlds in a kind of random fashion. Random portals are pretty commom... but random. Other than that, there's the Gummi Ships. We... erm, I don't know much about them yet, but I know they exist and allow intergalatic travel. They are made of some strange blocks... and that's it. I wish I could be of more help... Damm, think Axel, think..."
Once again, Axel started rubbing his head. He was kinda out of ideas...
Skylar was at a loss as well. Random portals cant help them right now. They cant afford to waist time jumping from world to world at random and who knows how long it would take for one to show up too. Skylar started thinking about how he ended up here and then it hit him!
"Hey you know a lot about the heartless right? How do they travel between world and would it be possible to capture one and use it to travel between worlds?" Even Skylar has to admit it was a long shot provided that it can be done. The tricky part is going to be the capturing of the heartless but getting it to get us to where we need to go.
"Hmm... I never heard of someone that have done something like that. They travel trough portals known as... 'Corridoors of Darkness' if I'm not wronged. However I don't know anyone who have crossed those things. It could be very dangerous...
Anyways... I think you don't have a place to stay, right? If you want, I can try to find somewhere for you, or you can stay at my house until we figure out a way to go to Twillight Town." Axel said, while still pondering about a solution to that problem.
"I see..." Said Skylar disappointed. Was there an option for them to take? If there is, it was nowhere in site at this moment in time. Skylar couldn't help but worry about home. "I bet that big heartless is having its way with the town right now..." Thought Skylar. The more he thought about it the more angry he got so he decided to through the subject out of his mind for the time being.
When Axel asked if he would like to find a place to stay or stay at his place Skylar replied "Uh... I guess I can stay with you. I'd rather you not waist any of your hard earned munny on me."
"Yeah, come here. I'll show you arround." With that said, Axel went to his house, waiting for Skylar to follow him.
It was a pretty normal place. And average house, nothing fancy but not a dump either. It was enough for Axel to live with a little comfort. He lived alone - his mother was still alive and all, but since he started working for the Pristis Institute, he tought it was better to have his own life.
Inside the house it was warm, contrasting to the freezing cold outside. Axel sighed with relief, and took out his heavy clothes.
"Make yourself at home. It's more suited for one person but I bet you can fit in here properly. Also, it's temporary..."I hope, tought Axel, but he decided that this would be too rude to say out loud.
He put the Sharkblade - still covered in black cloth - in in a reservatory at the wall, like if he was hanging up a decorative Katana. He decided to leave it covered. Skylar didn't need to know about that...
Then, he went to the kitchen, to check what he had to eat, as well as leaving Skylar some time to explore the house. At the kitchen, he yelled:
"You're staying at my room. I'll stay in the Living Room. Go check it out if you want, it's that door at the left." There were three doors at the living room: One for Axel's room, one for the bathroom and the one for the kitchen.
Skylar was just ready to fallow Axel when he remembered. "Oh I forgot about Syn. He's still waiting for me in the cafe. I will be right back." After running back to the cafe and explaining the situation to Syn, Skylar then told him that he will see him around and quickly ran back to follow Axel to his place without giving Syn a chance to talk.
Upon reaching Axel's place, Skylar was revealed to get out of the cold. Skylar looked around the room and was surprised to such nice living arrangements. Skylar has lived it multiple places sense he was very young but nothing was as nice as this. His parents aren't very rich and because of it couldn't afford very much.
"Its better than any place I've lived in." Replied Skylar. When Axel put his covered Sharkblade in the reservatory on the wall Skylar tried to get a glimpse of it before Axel turned around but failed. When Axel turned around Skylar just quickly turned and acted as if he was still looking around the room. "Why does he leave it wrapped up? Whats he got to hide?" Thought Skylar.
After that Axel went into the kitchen leaving Skylar a good opportunity to take a peak at the Sharkblade but was quickly thrown off when Axel started yelling out the door to tell Skylar where he was going to be staying and replied "Oh its ok I can sleep on the couch, I find it more comfortable then a bed anyway. I wouldn't want to take someone else room anyway."
"No, seriously, sleep on my room. I work ar night, If you slept in the Living Room you'd be waked up everytime I went in or out the house. Also I don't mind, I have a spare mattress here, I can lay it on the Living Room's floor and it will get as comfy as my bed. So relax." Answered Axel. The truth is, he didn't want Skylar to see him going in and off the house. He could discover about his identity as The Shark. Axel was starting to think that maaaaybe bringing Skylar was a bad idea. Still, he was too good to leave a homeless, confused boy alone in the snow.
Axel stayed in the kitchen for a couple more minutes before yelling for Skylar to come. At the table were two soups, smoking-hot.
"Soup is good in these cold times. Anyways I wasn't expecting to have somebody over, so I couldn't prepare anything better for today. Anyways, bon apetit." Axel said, before starting to eat.

Skylar didn't want to intrude anymore than he had to after all it wasn't his place. Skylar decided to just take Axel's room, Skylar can just pull a stakeout later tonight.
When Axel brought out some soup, Skylar walked over to table and was ready to chow it down. "Soups fine, it will help get some of this ice out of my veins." Skylar replied to Axel before sitting down and eating.
After several minutes Skylar finished eating and leaned back in his chair and said "Thanks that was good. I can feel my blood flowing again."
Axel finished his soup too. "You get used to it. It wasn't always like this, but it has been since the White Queen took this world under her wing. She decreased the population of heartless... but also brought this snow. I really don't trust her..." He said. Looking up at the clock on the wall, Axel noticed it was arround 10 PM. "I think I'll have to go. You know... work. Said Axel, getting up and picking up the Sharkblade - still covered. Axel was getting a little worried - he already noticed that Skylar was interested in the Sharkblade. He would have to pay attention. "Make yourself at home. Do wathever you want and sleep whenever you want. Don't wait me until morning. I'll try to don't wake you up tomorrow morning. See ya." That said, Axel left.
Skylar would notice something suspicious: As well as carrying that strange thing, Axel left without his coat and other warm cloths, even if it was freezing cold outside.
After dinner Axel told Skylar about the White Queen and all she has done for this world sense she took over. "Something doesn't seem right about her that is for certain." Said Skylar as Axel suddenly got up from the table.
Axel said that he was going to work then walked over to pick up the Sharkblade and marched for the door. "He forgot his coat." Thought Skylar as Axel walked out the door. "He's defiantly hiding something. Time to find out what."
A few seconds after Axel left, Skylar grabbed Axel's coat and made his way to the door to follow Axel. Once outside of the building Skylar spotted Axel making his way down the road and started tailing him as quietly as possible.
Axel was suspicious - and a little afraid - that Skylar was starting to notice something. So, he rushed on his path, just in case. However he didn't took the snow on account. His footsteps were easy to follow.
Axel finally stopped on a alley near the entrance to the dangerous Second District. He checked up if nobody was coming and, then, drew out the Sharkblade, uncovering it. Finally, the marvelous high-tech weapon could show it's glory. Axel held it with a firm grasp.
"Shark-Up!" That was not really necessary. The Sharkblade reacted to toughts, not words, but Axel just felt he needed a catchphrase!
Anyway, Skylar would arrive arround that moment. Axel was engulfed by a powerful light and, by the end of it, the imponent figure of The Shark was standind in his place!
Skylar tailed Axel as carefully as he could trying to keep his distance but stay close enough to not loose him. When Axel stopped just before the Second District, Skylar was just around the corner peaking his head around to keep an eye on Axel.
Nothing was have prepared Skylar for what happened next. Axel unwrapped his blade and all its high tech glory. A moment later Axel shouted something and was soon engulfed in light. When the light finally faded away, Axel was dressed in some blue shark style armor.
"What the heck? I had to have hit my head or something." Thought Skylar.
Axel never felt so alive as he did when he was in Shark Mode. When he was The Shark, all his troubles didn't matter, all his mistakes, all his weakness. Nothing existed - he was a symbol, a fighter, a hero.
So, that was the first time that the Shark Mode actually brought Axel a feeling of despair. Because, as soon as the light faded, he saw Skylar in the other end of the alleyway, looking at him, shocked. Axel was as shocked as Skylar - shocked because he had been revealed.
"Skylar... Dammit..." He said, unable to think on anything. Running would make things worse. So, he walked up the Skylar. "Why did you followed me?" He asked, trying to don't sound angry. He didn't want to scare Skylar.
As Axel approached Skylar he new the jig was up. Skylar walked out from his hiding spot to confront Axel. It was time to see who's side he was on.
"First off, you haven't been telling me the whole truth. Did you really think I wouldn't notice any gasps in your story expectantly after we just met. Second, you've been concealing that blade of yours the whole time didn't you think that wouldn't be suspicious? Third, you know way to much about the heartless that a normal person should. And lastly, you forgot your coat when you left your place." Skylar replied while revealing to Axel that the coat Skylar was wearing is actually Axel's.
"Time to answer some questions. Who are you really, who's side are you on, and.... What is with the outfit you look like some school kid playing hero?" Skylar demanded. After everything that has happened so far Skylar deserved to know that much at the least.
Axel took a moment to reflect on his own dumbness. He should have been more careful. Now his secret was exposed.
"Oh boy... well, since you've already discovered it, I'll answer your questions. I'm on the right side. Your side. Against the heartless. That's my job. I fight heartless. Protect Traverse Town from the shadows. That's why I'm dressed like this. I'm learning to be a proper Hero. Also, this outfit is my... "Shark Mode", let's say. It's from this that I take out my powers." To demonstrate, he shot a Blizzard spell at the other end of the alley - on the contrary direction that Skylar was, so he wouldn't be hit. "In this mode, I'm not Axel anymore. Call me The Shark. And... dammit, I still can't believe you discovered it. You wasn't supposed to."
