In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

This crystal filled location idea is new, but i do like the idea.
Something simular could be disney's atlantis. there is a sort of crystal, spiritual, light energy about the place. The possibility for sience, and hard to find. it even has it's own protection system
But such locations are well scattered in many FF worlds. Still it's up to the founders to decide.

I agree with Oogie, the ruins are about to crumble and fall apart and kill all your people, and living in a cave fulla crystals... Well, how could you build a base in a cave, for one, and two, well... You can't find a cave like that in the canon, that is like 98% guaranteed. The few caves that would have special magic light crystals in them wouldn't be big enough for a base. Also one of those caves(and the Ruins) would be so far out of the way that it would be annoying to send your agents to wherever they need to go. That basically means that you'd need to make your own world.
You also said that Sephy was hesitant to create a new world, which slims down the chances a little bit, and also, looking back, you said that you couldn't make up a world where it would be impossible for Heartless to survive. A world made of those crystals=dead Heartless. A world with lots of those crystals=dead Heartless. A cave on that world full of those crystals AND is large enough to hold a base in it = dead Heartless by the time they step foot inside or after the first few minutes of them actually going to the base to attack it.
I stand by my decision to build it in the Zero District, but Destiny Islands sounds good too.

O.O
Atlantis! I'd nearly forgotten about that movie! That's a fantastic idea as far a location goes. The massive crystal beneath is essentially light that serve to ward off attack and power the defensive systems as well as whatever weapon it was that sunk the city to begin with. The issue would be striking a deal with the inhabitants to let the Guardians stay there. It's the perfect combination of science and technology with magical or supernatural. The only thing I'd have to say about Atlantis is the Leviathan. Personally, I think that it shouldn't be counted as a defense system for the Guardians, at least, as it serves as a guard for the people of the city. The Leviathan should attack Guardian members on sight, and should be beyond control by the Guardians, since not even the people of Atlantis seem to be able to harness it.

I've found a crystal area that we might be able to use. Ive sent this idea to the admin to get it confirmed along with Maxxy.
My idea was from Final Fantasy 4, on the moon there is the Crystal Palace were you fight zeromous, this could quite possibley be renevated (aka clearing out the mobs) and we could use it quite nicely.
However, we must await replys from admin and such.
I know I'm not an official member yet, but since I'm going to be, I thought I'd help.
That Crystal Palace is actually a pretty good idea. Easy enough to defend, and also relatively nice-looking. Sure it isn't too hard to get to, but what enemies will know to look there?
Just to throw new ideas out, so we can have a good place: Maybe Cinderellean Earth. Not particularly defendable, per se, but it's an almost definite location, since Cinderella is a Princess of Heart and she understands the whole light/darkness thing. Someone would have to explain the Nobodies, but I think that's a possible location.
I'm not sure if this counts as Disney, but what about Narnia? Again, I dunno, just throwing out ideas.

8O I tried finding a screenshot epic fail. I just wanted to share this...wouldn't it be...more segregating to have a base on a seperate world not present...making you more distant from the worlds you're trying to protect. To bad there isn't an additional place in a nearby world that they can easily hide in.
XD It's as if you guys are going to commute far away to protect worlds. Also since it will be far anyone can just easily follow you. It would be different..if you had a secretive area...similar to the secret waterway in Traverse Town...that's not so secret...in rp, since lots of members likes to drop in threads. And not many worlds present have protection. RGC ...hardly any members..and so on and so forth. Also Minnie haven't even build the Mouseketeers...since I like everything to go in a canonical (msp..most likely) order.
For all I know you can hide out in the craziness of Wonderland or something. Have a harry potter moment having hidden walls and what not. There's a bunch of islands in the Caribbeans...which will give you that 'jungle' feel. Also you want crystals...well...Caribbeans tend to be quite mythical with folklores, so finding a suitable place shouldn't be hard.
In short, you're doing too much thinking...just to find a place. You already have a plot that can effect an overall world...yet don't even think of that as your base. Which would be quite a waste of plot if you don't take advantage of it to the fullest.
I don't see how moving into a moon means a long commute from the worlds. You could easily say that the moon is included within the worlds. Just because it isn't a canonical Disney world doesn't mean it's a great distance away. If the admins allowed it, you could even say that the same moon orbits one of the worlds.
We could also simply move in to the abandoned mansion in Twilight Town.

Well, Oogie, me and shun ruled out Twilight Town early on, since we'll also end up fighting the Org eventually and Twilight Town has strong ties to the Nobodies. Not to mention its a place that Seed frequents, and the mansion isn't exactly secret.
As for what you say, Ellie, we appreciate the input, but I agree with Oogie. Just because its not a canonical Disney/FF world, doesn't mean its far away. I planned on having it near radiant garden, since that's where all the FF stuff is.
But, yeah, your thoughts will be brought under consideration. Don't think we're ignoring them. Lol
*posts a ridiculous idea attempting to be ignored*
(posts the real post) But the idea of being near Radiant Garden is great. The committee and the Guardians, based on similar ideology, are sure to be allies. And their proximity would mean that if one got into trouble, the other would be soon to their aid. Is great planz.
I'm (scarily enough) with Oogie on this one. The Committee would make good allies, but I do see one problem. Sephiroth. (The charry) Would he be against The Guardians, or no?
What does sephiroth matter? Lol he's neutral so far as the heartless and nobodies are concerned, since all he cares snot is Cloud and making the darkness inside him grow. So, it's likely he'll leave us alone, so long as we don't bother him.
Ooooh, I love the idea of floating isles and a waterfall, kinda like how Hallow Bastion was before it turned into Radiant Garden. Also, I still like the idea of going out and mining for the crystals in a plot thread instead of simply already having them there. Gives us something to do and actually bond as a team as we work together to build our stronghold. We have a technological female on board, right? I would like to suggest a small moon that has been in obscurity for whatever reason, maybe because it was inhabitable for whatever reason, but having absolutely nothing there, and then our characters build it from the ground up. I love the implications that might arise of us working together.
Excuse me for being thick, but what were the crystals for in the first place? I mean, just having crystals won't help anything unless, as mentioned, they had the properties of light. Just having crystals in the Caribbean... Doesn't help much, does it?
