In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The student blinked several times at what Limari said to him. He was glad to hear that his hair would be fine, but he flt kinda stupid for not waiting for the potion to cool. '' I suppose it is'' Kyriu said in response to the last thing Limari said. Just then Lakuri moved in front of him and started playing with his hair.
He liked the fact that she was there otherwise the potion he drank would be nothing more than a hot drink, after all he wanted to get better for her anyway. He was confused at first when Lakuri stood up and started walking...but a few things made sense once he thought about it. Kyriu had been with Lakuri for quite a while, so he knew what that particular method of moving was. st '' Give me a minute'' Kyriu said to Limari and without waiting for an answer he started moving towards Lakuri. He couldn't tell what the problem was just yet so he had an idea. Kyriu stopped directly behind Lakuri and put his arms around her.
'' Whats wrong Kuri?...are you alright?'' Kyriu asked her in a concerned tone.
Something was bothering her....the only thing he could do was hope that she would tell him what it was.
Mari watched Kuri walk away, a sinking feeling growing in her stomach. just before she had turned away Mari had sensed Lakuri's feelings almost as if they were a tangible thing. what she had felt was jealousy and protective-ness. She guessed that she could understand where kuri was coming from. I mean, she had probably been alone with kyriu for a long time and to have Mari jump in so eagerly and disturb that must have been a bit hard on someone like her.
Mari shrunk into the shadows of a building and crouched down, becoming almost invisible in the dark, a mask of silvery gray shadow hiding her facial expressions. She was very worried. what if Kyriu and Kuri no longer wanted to be with her? if Kuri was going to be jealous of her all the time she would much rather leave than put both Kyriu and Lakuri through that. Though Kuri had no reason for jealousy as mari wasn't interested in any sort of romance. she was beginning to be sorry she disturbed them in the first place. She really didnt want to disturb thier peace or do anything to cause them to fight.
She was also very confused about why she cared so much. Normally Limari Edenest didnt care about anyone. she went about her way, stealing what she had to to live and remaining impassive and aloof to the lives, thoughts, and feelings of anyone who thought they were better than her. But now a new Limari was starting to emerge, and, while the old one still remained impassive and critical to almost everyone, the new Limari was forcing the old one to evaluate that attitude, and make an exception for this odd couple.
what if everyone else was like these people? with thoughts, feelings, and ideas all their own? She felt a growing awareness of all the people she interacted with. she didnt think this meant she would stop stealing, there was always going to be greedy people who deserved that, and there was always black market traders who needed the trade to support their own families. It just meant that the percentage of greedy people had dropped a bit in Mari's mind
Mari couldn't believe that she was thinking all of this only because two people showed her a little kindness.....it frustrated her that someone else could have such controll over her emotions. And that she was being such a sappy wuss over something as normal as a friendship. either way she hoped that kuri wasn't mad at her, or wouldn't stay mad at her if she was. she didn't think it best to interrupt them, so she stayed in the shadows and waited to see if they would come back or leave without her.
She would give them the choice of whether or not to except her, instead of forcing herself on them like she had been doing...

(kuri the drama queen lololol)
Lakuri wasn't standing alone for long. but it was long enough to let a few tears run out of her eyes. She then felt a familiar warmness suround her as Kyriu wrapped his arms around her. "No." she whimpered and tried to free herself from Kyriu's arms. she didn't want to have to deal with him as well as her emotions.. they were too intertwined.. and made it hard for her to think straight. Lakuri However couldn't free herself.. and instead simpky stood there and simply let the tears fall down her face.
"I'm sorry... I couldn't help you." Lakuri said when she finally felt like she could talk. "I don't know how to make your panic attcks better... I'm sorry" she added then finally was able to free herself from Kyriu's arms. She glaced backwards at him for a minute, but then looked back at thr ground.
As she thought... her emotions where confused... there was a part of her that wanted Kyriu to simply put his arms around her agian... but the other.. that was ready to resist it.
Kyriu simply sighed when Lakuri spoke then freed herself from his grasp. It was one of the few times that he didn't understand what was going on in her head. She played a big part in stopping his panic attacks, so why was she acting like this? It was easy to tell why she was acting more lovely than usual...but this was something that Kuri should never have to worry about.
Kyriu placed his hands on Lakuri's shoulders the lifted her head. '' Kuri listen to me..Nothing would stop my panic attacks other than you. The potion Limari gave me...would have just been very hot liquid without you. If don't believe that then...'' he stopped to show her the necklace than held her hand.
'' Than believe in us...you know how much I love you Kuri. Since I met you I haven't had a panic attack for weeks..and almost a month now...and no one could do that other than you. Your the greatest thing In my life Kuri...just because you didn't help directly doesn't mean you didn't help at all....and If you do something wrong it's not the end of the world..it just shows that your human.''' Kyriu said actually quoting her at the very end.
He really hoped she felt better after this, he still had to check to see how Miss Limari was feeling.
Mari, still lying in the comfort of the shadows, was feeling a bit calmer now. the dark enveloped her like a blanket and made her feel at home. Watching Kyriu and Lakuri from a distance rather than being right next to them had helped her to gain perspective. she realized that she had been a bit forceful in her excitement to befriend Lakuri and her boyfriend. she thought that this was rather odd for her, and had forced herself to snap out of her pit of self-accusation and just realize that she would have to take a calmer and less desprate-looking approach to befriending these people from now on.
She had to take this a bit more like the friendships she had with black-market sellers and the few kindhearted shopkeepers that let her work in thier shop once in awhile, provided she didnt do anything stupid to scare away all their customers (which was mainly what prevented her from getting any normal sort of job. she couldnt ever keep herself out of trouble long enough to keep one.) she would have to be a bit more loose and relaxed, and just be her normal self. she realized that she had acted the fool with Lakuri and Kyriu, going out of her way to be sappy and nice and generous because she thought they should be best friends forever, or some romanticized crap like that.
when and if they came back, she would be sure to be much more casual. no longer would she appear so desprate. and she would reveal her magic to them. then, at least, if they were going to be scared of her, she could just get it over with and find out. she waited in the shadows, watching to see when they would be done talking.

Lakuri tried to move her shoulders away from Kyriu.. but that would be a difficult move. Plus... she was compleatly weakened while looking directly into Kyriu's eyes, since he lifted her head.. she couldn't pull it away. Her eyes where already filled with tears as it was. but hearing Kyriu speak to her.. it seemed to only increase. the number of them.
She realised how silly she was being when he finished talking.... hearing a very familiar phrase said back to her... exept sort of out of her context. When she had said it.. she was simply telling him to be less shy.. but who knew it could work for this too. Lakuri moved her arms around him tightly and gave him a hug.. then continued to cry into his shoulder. "I-I love you t-to Kyrii." she whimpered. And for some time she didn't want to let him go... only to hold him tighter if she felt him move just a little bit.
When Lakuri finally managed to calm down, she slowly released her grip on Kyriu and lifted her head up. She wiped the last remining tears out of her eyes before she spoke to him. " Thank you baby.... you know how to make me feel better." She said and smiled at him. "I'm sorry I accted like such a little baby." she added then quickly snuck a kiss off of him. Then she looked around.. where had Limari gone? she couldn't really tell, but after a few minutes she thought she could spot her. She shifted one of her hands to hold Kyrius and then spoke again. "Limari looks pretty loney over there... maybe we should try and help?" it was pretty difficult to decide whether what Lakuri said was a sujestion... or a question.
It made Kyriu quite happy to know that Lakuri was feeling better. It was a nice feeling, better than thinking that you could disappear at any moment. Now that she was back to her old self..things were looking good..but then Limari was still not feeling well...so there was still one more problem. When he heard what Kuri said he looked back, then noticed Limari sitting.
'' You go on ahead Kuri..I'll be right behind you Ok? I need to get something'' Kyriu said to Lakuri then kissed her and gave her a hug. He really loved being with her..and he hoped that he would continue to do that...but now wasn't the time to think about that.
'' I won't be long Promise...it's close by anyway'' he added.
Mari was getting impatient and quite worried. they were taking so long that she was starting to think they might really leave her; and as much as she tryed to pretend inndiference it really did scare her that they might leave.
Her curiousity was, once again, geting the better of her. she knew that eaves-dropping on them would be a bad thing to do, jeapordizing thier new friendship even more than it maybe already was, but so far her impulsive side was beating out her reasonable side.
Somehow she managed to reason herself into doing it and slowly snuck deeper into the shadows. once she was sure that all they would be able to see of her was a vague shape she put her bag and staff down to maintain that shape and slipped into the shadow of a building, edgeing along the side until she reached the alley by where kuri and kyriu were talking. she slipped betwixt the buildings into the narrow alley; just barley able to hear them and not able to see them, as if not seeing what was happening reduced her travesty.

What Kyriu had said made somthing in Lakuri's mind... snap. She was still feeling a litttle uneasy from her break down from a few seconds ago.. although much calmer now... and Kyriu wanted to leave!? She looked at him with almost an.. angrey expression and tightened her grip around Kyriu's hand by... a lot.
"No, I don't want you to leave." she said in an abnormally angrey tone for Lakuri.. but this was just her being extremly serious. She had absolutley no intention of letting go of Kyriu's hand. She could think of almost, nno reason for him tto want to leave so suddenly.. especially without her. It seemed very suspicious and this brought out Lakuri's protectiveness over him.
Lakuri haddn't really used this technique aound Kyriu all that much since they started going out.. but if Kyriu was set on goin somewhere, Lakuri had to make sure that she got her way. Although Lakuri still had a death grip on Kyriu's hand, she still turned herself around, attidutefull hairflip and and all and then placed her hand on her hip. She would have crossed her arms if she could have. She pretty much wasn't going to speak until Kyriu convincere her he wasn't going anywhere.
( Really Really sorrry...had to travel..I'm back now though)
Kyriu was concentrating on something else when all of the sudden Lakuri tightened her grip around his hand. Ouch! that wasn't what he meant. He wasn't going to leave at all, why would he anyway? Kuri was here...so he had no reason to simply run off. Besides she should know by now that being outside wasn't his favorite thing to do...especially without her.
The student wanted to say something to Kuri just to make her calm down, or at least explain himself. '' Hey calm down Kuri..I never said I was leaving...I wouldn't do that. It r-really wasn't my Idea either'' Kyriu said to her then for some reason lowered his head.
He was quiet for a while and remained completely still. This particular part of his life was something that Kyriu would always dislike...but he had to go through with it...hopefully this little adventure would end...for now he would just have to hope that he was doing the right thing.
'' I Instructed Kyriu to move away from you...In case you got frightened.'' Ryu said then lifted his head quite casually. Without much difficulty he pulled the tie Kyriu had ob his shoulders and skillfully tied his hair with one hand.
'' Ok you so owe me for this one...no control for three weeks after this!!''
Ignoring the comment Ryu simply moved his head past Lakuri and looked at Limari who was still hiding in the shadows.
'' I would like to have a word with Limari...now please let go'' Ryu said to her. Normally switching required a small burst of spirit energy..but doing it at such a small level was difficult..and now that this was done...switching back would take a bit...longer than usual.
Still he wasn't about to say anything about that..there was still an important matter to be solved.
Mari listened intently to Kuri and.....Kyriu? she was no longer sure if he was Kyriu or Ryu. he almost seemed to be switching back and forth.
the next thing he said both affirmed that it was Ryu and scared her to death. she knew he was Ryu now because there was no way Kyriu would say "Let go" that fiercly to Lakuri. The first part of that senctance, however, troubled her. "I would like to have a word with limari."
Stupid Ryu, he had seen her and was probably gonna come yell at her for her "immoral action" of eavesdropping, and right now she was feeling quite guilty about that so she really didnt need him pissing her off. she just braced herself and tried to come up with excuses.

all was... good.. ish... until Ryu showed himself agian... Lakuri was still extremly pissed at him for his insult earlier... but she still didn't want Kyriu to leave, there for Ryu wasn't alowed to leave herside either... although she wished he would go away.
"No." she simply said, narrowing her eyes to plainly glare at him. "I'm not letting you go, no matter what you try. I want Kyriu to stay here.. at east his body anyways." she said very meanly, and slightly started to dig her nails into his hand.. sowing she was compleatly serious. She hoped that Kyriu wouldn't mind this... if he did, she would make it up to him later....
Lakuri continued to just glare at Ryu, while holdng onto his hand.... this was ssoo weird. she generally wouldn't even concider holding hands while Ryu was incontrol... even when she wasn't pissed off. but she really had no choice at the moment.
While he was expecting Lakuri to use some form of stubborn behavior he didn't expect her to continue to grip his hand. It was starting to get annoying...he still had to have a word with Limari. Unfortunately Lakuri was still in the way...however...he wasn't interested in becoming her enemy...at all..therefore he had several ideas...but he picked the one that would be most affective.
Ryu sighed and closed his eyes...then spoke. '' Very well....but know this...If you will not take away your grip...then I will tighten..and maintain mine'' was all he said to her. Once that was done he simply grabbed her hand and started walking towards Limari. If Kuri started to pull away he would drag her if he had too.
Kyriu however was stumped. Was Ryu talking about grabbing Kuri's hand? That didn't add up. '' Hm...tighten and maintain m-m-mine!!! Oh crap!! Kuri let go let go let go let go!!!!'' Kyriu thought. This was bad...Kuri didn't have to be so protective...he wasn't a baby...he knew what he was doing. But he hoped she would understand what Ryu indirectly said.
By maintain and tighten his grip...Ryu was referring to the grip he had on Kyriu. Which meant taht if Kuri kept on being this way...he'll be stuck in his own head!! Not gooood! He liked his body...and who knows what would happen if Ryu kept control of it for a long period...It might even Kick Kyriu out!! . Well not likely...but you never know!!!
Ryu kept on walking until he reached Limari....then despite Kuri still clinging to him...he sat on the floor and crossed his legs.
He completely ignored her as well.
'' Limari....It was unjust for me to judge you earlier...'' Ryu started then quickly bowed his head. but I am aware that something troubles you.....If you are willing and able...I would like to know what it is'' he said still ignoring the pink girl.
Limari flinched when Ryu sat down across from her, expecting reprimand from the condescending samuri. what he actually said shocked her. she never thought that he would apolagize to anyone least of all her. she wasnt sure how to take the first part, but she knew she didnt like the second part. It was condecending to ecpect her to spill her secrects like a bubbly child, to this man that she barley knew, and still plainly disliked and didnt trust. and to ask it in such a way as to infer that something was bothering her, as if by being her therapist he could teach her the immoral-ness of her ways and heal whatever was the matter with her. while she decided to deal with his apology gracefully she thought that a bit of sarcasm was still needed for the last part.
"thank you for the apology, and i will apologize for my behavior as well," she said cooly, meaning to be very adult about this, "i acted immiture." she took a breath,
"and on the other subject, while i find the fact that you think that i will just spill my mind to you like some bubbly child extremely condecending i will tell you one thing, I do have problems, and things are wrong with me, as they are with everyone. so, based on the fact that im a homeless thief, whos lost her world, all her family, and the only friend she s ever had, i would say i have some problems." she said this with sarcasm meaning to reveal to him how ridiculous his question was to her, before being serious again.
" There is however, something i have been keeping to myself which i should probably reveal if I am to be friends with Kyriu, Kuri, and you." she included him in that list only to aviod being openly hostile, and because she wanted to see if he really meant his apology. "I will reveal, but i would like Kyriu to be back in control first because, honestly and openly Ryu, I know him better and am more comfortable talking to him than you, no offense intended."

(dddoooo iiitttttt XD)
What Ryu said really confused Lakuri.... how would that evcen matter if he held his grip as well??? that was only insureing that he stayed next to her.... He must mean somthing else. But what? Lakuri had never been good at inteligance related things... so thinking.. not exactly a strong point.
She still glared at him as he pulled her over to Limari and sat on the ground... compleatly ignoreing her. This aslo.... rreeaalllyy pissed Lakuri off... not only was she going to all this work to spesifically be compleatly pissed off, which yes she acctually had to work a bit to get herself this worked up.... but he was ignoreing it!!!! this just mad her more angrey! She was still holding onto his hand tightly... but since being ignored she acctually started to kick, or.. voilently tap, Kyriu/Ryu's back to get his attention back. "Hey, stop ignoreing me!!!!" she said angrely and presisted on doing this. She currently didn't really care that she might be being rude to limari, although her last little comment made her laugh. "no offense" psh. with Lakuri's current mood she really wished that that was left off... it would please her greatly.
( ddoo mmyyy iidddeeaaa oorr kuri's gonna presist on being a bitch XD )
