In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The destination would be a place he'd become familiar with in days previous: The area just outside Twilight Town's legendary Haunted Mansion.
As usual, it was a bright evening, evident by the sun casting its rays of yellows and oranges -- the colors that usually painted this calm town.
A carpet of the greenest grass covered the ground, recently cut by the looks of it, and a dark forest blotched the background of this scenic little spot. Despite the rumors of it being haunted, the Mansion actually seemed to give off a gentle, almost welcoming appearance.
Eventually the whirr of a dark portal was noticeable, and a small black dot quickly expanded into the size of a small, round door.
And who would step out, but the Organization's prized Number Eight, Axel? His lithe composure only made the irritant language of his body that much more evident. Two black-gloved, lanky hands extended out from beneath the sleeves of a thin leather coat, arms locking across his chest as he eyed this town over.
It was true, he had business to take care of here, but it had been forever since he'd shown his face in Twilight Town. Since Roxas had distanced himself, at least.
He'd probably make his way to the usual spot to see if the small blondie was hanging out with that faux circle of friends. He really needed to take care of business with that boy. Ah well, better late than never, right?
...The last thing he needed was another blasted interruption.
Axel's destination was a bit surprising. Normally you'd think someone of the Organization wouldn't be so careless. Aside from leaving the portal open, he picked Twilight Town as his destination. But maybe Axel wasn't careless. It could be possible that he was setting a trap, afterall the Organization was very close to the town. Caxnon pondered on this as he arrived at Twilight Town.
As usual it was a bright evening, a good day for people to visit Sunset Hill. The town's mansion stood there keeping many secrets within, and the brightness of the sun made it hard to look at. All this wasn't Caxnon's problem. He came to find Axel and question him. At their last meeting, Caxnon was unable to get any information from Axel but this time he wasn't going to go easy on him.
Unexpectedly, Caxnon spotted Axel a few feet away heading toward the forest. Well, he wasn't going to let him escape a second time so he pursued.
''Hey Axel, where do you think your going?'' Caxnon said to him as he steaded his blade in case Axel tried something.
A sharp green stare shot over the Nobody's shoulder as those fiery eyes set sight to none other than that blasted stalker-character that just wouldn't leave him alone. The first interruption was at the Castle, the second was the Pride Lands. Now he was here, too?
Obviously he wanted a fight, right? Why else would anyone bother the cocky Fire-based Nobody? Even if a battle wasn't Caxnon's objective, it was impossible to persuade Axel once that haughty mind had been made up.
Two arms raised to snap out at his sides, head tilting downward as he forced a well of concentration into his palms. A fell wind broke through the immediate vacinity as sparks popped into existence. The breeze only ignited them, causing wispy flames to dance up the lithe figure's arms.
Then those Chakrams snapped into visibility, slowing like tires coming to a stop, and they dropped into the familiar hands of their wielder, sharing his angst for action.
That signature smirk pulled the corners of pale cheeks into a wry grin as that piercing stare shot back up to his fresh opposition. "Ya just don't know when to stay out of other people's business, do you?" the comment was peppered with an obnoxious glaze as the spiked weapons at his sides rocked on loose fingers. He was prompting for a fight... And he wouldn't let Caxnon leave without one.
Axel spotted Caxnon. And with out a word he pulled out his weapons . Clearly he was ready for a fight. That wasn't a problem for Caxnon; he was itching for a battle. Axel may actually prove to be a challenge. After all, he was a member of Organization XII and a cocky one too. Caxnon turned his attention to Axel's weapons. They were strange indeed and possibly difficult to weild, he wouldn't know.
Caxnon steaded his blade once more, then glared at Axel remembering their first encounter. This member, Axel, what were his true intensions? It was nearly impossible to tell what was behind that smirk. Caxnon knew that Axel wasn't going to go easy on him in this fight. Maybe before; but this time he knew Axel was annoyed.
''So are we going to talk, or get this over with?''. Caxnon said to Axel in a cocky tone.
Finally! It took long enough to draw a fight out of this guy... The Nobody was itching for one by now. The adrenaline made him feel like he was alive! And by the looks of it, this would be easy enough, he'd be able to exhibit some of his fine skill.
With pupils narrowing, he confined his energy, effortlessly erecting a ring of flames in a ten yard radius of him and his oponent.
For a second those keen eyes analyzed the challenger, then sprung into the air with ease, placing a little distance between them before he slung one blazing Chakram toward Caxnon, clinging to the other weapon for an impending follow-up attack.
Axel. One of the members of Organization XII, an interesting opponent.
Caxnon analyzed his opponent briefly, then rushed at him while keeping his blade steady.
Caxnon saw one of Axel's chakarams come flying at him. He was able to dodge it by rolling to the side. Caxnon then continued to run toward Axel, while still keeping his guard up. He then sent a few quick slashes at the red head. Followed by a well placed roundhouse kick. ''Try harder'' Caxnon said to his opponent in a mocking tone.
[ Ooc: No worries. Long as there's an RP, and you don't mind my off-days either. x3 ]
Mocking. Two people could play that game. Especially if one of them was named Axel!
He could feel the wind from the swings of that blade cutting close to his face, but Axel was able to dodge them, even if it was only barely, by 'blinking' out and back. A simple teleportation trick comprised by his speed.
A second later, he'd perched himself on the tip of Caxnon's uplifted foot, a smirk on his features. "How 'bout THIS?" it seemed more like a game than a fight. But, that's how this Nobody always saw it. His skills were in a show, and his oponent was the audience.
Springing away from his oponent, the redhead called his weapons into place, only to smother them in flames and send them back toward Caxnon one at a time.
The blades of the weapon reached the floor, catching a few feet away from the other fighter, spinning like a pair of rogue wheels. They left spurts of Fire in their wake, making a path around Caxnon that would erect a strong cell of pure Fire.
There was a way out... But could Caxnon find it?
Once they'd done their job, the sharp wheel-weapons would return to their master, ready and willing for his next commands.
''Perfect just what i need a fire cell'' Caxnon said to himself as Axel's chakarams put him in a flaming cell.
He could feel the heat around him, he knew it wouldn't be long before Axel decided to strike. Caxnon examined the firewall around him. Then placed his gunblade on his shoulder in a lazy fashion, and started to walk around in circles. ''You have to try harder Axel'' Caxnon said to his opponent with a smirk.
Then suddenly. The floor which used to be nothing but grass, was now completely covered in fire. ''Alright will see about that'' Caxnon thought to himself. He placed the blade part of his weapon on the floor and began to run around the flaming cell, allowing his blade to heat up. The heat on the floor was starting to annoy Caxnon.
Then he stopped, put his blade on the floor once more and waited for Axel to strike.
Now Axel could have just allowed the temperature of the flames to slowly suffocate his opponent, but where was the fun in that? And even such a trick as that wasn't a sure-fire plan.
The walls stopped when they'd reached the radius of a couple feet, and Axel decided to take that opportunity to strike. He couldn't strike from the front -- that would have been too easy to see coming. Nor did he want to strike from the rear -- that would've been too guessable.
Instead, he darted through his wall of fire from Caxnon's side, firmly holding one Chakram in prepration for a hit to the boy's ribcage, the other was held in defense, to block any impending attack.
After all, all though Axel was built for speed, he didn't dare calculate the reaction time of his challengers... For a miscalculation would be crucial to the fight. Instead, he remained aware that Caxnon could strike anywhere, and from any time.
This enabled him to be ready for almost everything.
The fire cell around Caxnon started to cool down. No doubt Axel was planing to strike at any moment. Caxnon looked in all directions for any sign of his opponent. He continued to walk around the small cell, waiting for Axel's next move.
The burning floor was now a bit cooler, making it much easier to walk around it. Then suddenly, Axel jumped out of the flames and flew at Caxnon. With both his chakarams in hand, Axel moved with blazing speed, ready to strike. The gunblader had already seen this. Axel's image was reflecting off his blade.
Caxnon spun around and rushed at his attacker. It's been awhile since he used his flying ability, and now as a good time to have some fun with Axel. He flew at the red head, weapon ready. Caxnon was able to dodge Axel's first chakaram by ducking under it, he then blocked the second one with his blade. He then kicked off Axel's chest, pushing his opponent a few feet away.
Caxnon landed on his feet then looked at the cocky read head, and smirked.
A simple backflip landed Axel on his feet again, that sly green gaze shooting back toward his foe. It was one of those well-known rules of battle that one never took his eyes off of the opposition, and he didn't plan to.
A mocking grin plastered itself onto the impish Nobody's face as he focussed his elemental energy and coated those pointed weapons in flames. From the grips of his Chakrams, the burning tongues danced up Axel's arms, and he couldn't help but chuckle at the recently executed moves. "Heh! NOW we're talkin'!" the ring of flames that surrounded them pulsed at his words, sharing the excitement.
Taking a haunched, defensive stance, a hawk-like gaze latched onto Caxnon, waiting for his challenger to make a move. He'd take this brief moment of stillness to analyze the other male and look for 'chinks in the armor' as it were.
Everyone had a weak point. Axel would just have to 'play' with Caxnon until it was found.
Not that it was really that important. With most sparring matches, it was pretty easy to come out on top.
Axel landed on his feet with both his chakarams in hand, then set them on fire once again. Caxnon watched as the fire cell around them suddenly burst back to life. ''Great. Just when it was getting cooler'' Caxnon thought to himself. The floor started to heat up again, making it difficult to stay in one place. Axel stood there, with his now flaming chakarams in hand. Waiting for Caxnon to attack.
Caxnon analyzed his opponent for a few minutes, then ran straight at the red head. While trying ' hard' not to lose his focus becuse of the heat. ''let's see how you handle this!!'' Caxnon said to Axel. He then started hacking away at his opponent trowing slashes left and right. Caxnon followed up this attack with one final strike meant for Axel's arm.
''If he can block this i'll be impressed'' Caxnon thought to himself. But what could Axel's next move be?.
One didn't need to block when their speed could keep up with lightning.
That's exactly the strength Axel relied on the moment he set sight to Caxnon's chopping blade. The redhead lept backward with all the ease of an excited rabit, disappearing back behind the wall of cackling flames.
Number Eight wasn't going to be so easy to take down. If there were a phoenomena great enough to take down the legendary flame-fighter, he'd fight until the end.. and he'd do his best to take his opponent down with him.
Still, his attack left him with a gash on the arm, but it was nothing serious. Nothing as serious as it was meant to be.. And it was the opposite arm than the one Caxnon had been planning for. But superfluous details, who would need them in a battle of proportions such as this? Most of Axel's opponents didn't last half this long.
Once on the other side of his flaming barrier, he contemplated his challenger, and the mose effective means for taking the Gunblader down. After all, Caxnon seemed to have fast reflexes, check. Held the powers of magic, check.. and could wield a giant hunk of metal through the air at tremendous speeds.. check..
What side would he attack from, and with what sort of melee? Any successful attack would be risky at this phase, but he had to try for something.
He left Caxnon only long enough to allow for possible curiousity, then he started things up again.
One Chakram entered from each direction, whirring around Caxnon and attempting to knock him over or impale his body a few times before disappearing. They couldn't stay away from their master for too long.
[Ooc: As always, just let me know if you need me to re-post.]
Caxnon was able to slash Axel's arm just before the red head disappeared behind the flames around him.''I'll get you'' Caxnon said to Axel.
The gunblader walked around the cell for a while, waiting for Axel to strike at any moment. Caxnon focused his attention on his opponent. From where would he strike?, and when?. From the left, right, top?. There was a possibility of him attacking from all sides, but how could Axel do that?.
As Caxnon pondered on this, one of Axel's chakarams came flying at him. He was able to knock it away with his blade, then suddenly another one came shooting at him. Followed by another, then six more, and more after that. All aiming for him.
Caxnon started to deflect most of the flaming chakarams, while dodging the rest. He continued this for a as long as he could, but every now and then, a chakaram hit him.
The chakarams kept flying at Caxnon from all directions. Hitting him mostly on his arms, due to him blocking with his blade. Caxnon was starting to lose his focus the chakarams were attacking him faster, one of them was able to knock Caxnon's gunblade off his hand. Axel's chakarams started to attack the now defenseless gunblader with alot more force.
The Pain was starting to get to Caxnon. He kept getting hit by his opponents chakarams, they kept attacking him nonstop striking him from all sides. Caxnon was getting weaker, he was about to dropped to his knees.
When suddenly, he felt a strange power within him. Caxnon spun around and spread out his arms, with some difficulty. Axel's chakarams stopped hitting the blondie, there flames were extinguished. And they were completely coated in Ice.
Caxnon realized what had happened. He had frozen the chakarams with Ice magic. The gunblader walked over to his weapon and picked it up, he then placed it on his shoulder. Then crafted a small Ice ball on his hand. ''This might even odds'' Caxnon said to himself with a smirk.
Oh, this was getting serious. Sharp sea green eyes flashed, locking onto Caxnon, or moreover, the frozen spell, and his halted Chakrams freshly coated in frost. "ICE?!" Barked the surprised Nobody. All right, it was high time to take things to the next level.
His weapons were immediately called back to their master, causing the sheets of ice around them to shatter at the sudden vaccum of space.
Seconds later, tongues of flame were sent to attack his opponent's feet and crawl up his legs. It was time to stop playing nice, things were getting ugly.
A growl escalated from the back of Axel's throat, excitement and irritation both very evident in it. "Bring in ON!" just after these words were thrown out, the Nobody lashed out again, heading straight for Caxnon in a full-body attack, both Chakrams readied for an impending assault.
How would the Gunblader handle the dancing Flames in addition to the Flurry himself?
