In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Relena sat at the machine playing pinball mumbling under her breath every second about how bored she was. The only catch was there was no pinball machine inside the Dark XII castle. She had composed her own using a couple mugs she had found in the cupboards and cut up a couple cardboard boxes. A sphere of her was traveling around the interior of the 'machine' and started to fall downwards. With a bored flick of her index finger it shot right up and through one of the mugs.
This got her attention. The maroon mug looked rather unfixable and judging by the matter it was composed of...she cursed. It wasn't like she had meant to break Eleaus' sacred mug...it was just that she didn't know what she was doing. Quickly calling the sphere back to her, it snaked up her arm and disappeared into a pocked inside her sleeve. She then took the mug, and the rest of the shattered pieces, and shoved it under the seat of the couch.
...As for her pinball game, she opened the nearest door and kicked all the materials in. If she was lucky it would be steps to the basement and hopefully hit Even along the way. She chuckled and tried to act innocent as she heard footsteps approaching.

Within his dark slumber, Elaues was thinking as usual; he was always busy himself with some sense of work or project leaving him little time with peace in mind. His brows would dip and wrinkle at a nightmare of an error of his train of thoughts as it derailed into chaos. Crystalline eyes opened in a blank gaze at the dark fabrics in his room, while slime fair fingers run through tangled bronze locks. Despite the horrific land of doom that blossomed in the depths of his mind, Elaeus' face was as still and cold compared to the diamonds he create.
...............I need hot chocolate.....now
His legs obeyed his thoughts as they swung off of his bed and walked out the door. His limbs swished with the black slacks; his feet slapped against the cold marble, which didn't effect him at all. Being an embodiment of darkness had few of it perks. His arms stretches had shifted his wrinkled and unbottoned black blouse. Silently the Earth Titan walked down the dark corridor towards the ticking of noises. The disturbance made his eyes narrowed with a groan, while scratching an itch on his stomach, a habit he had since childhood.
He stopped right before the door to the kitchen, his right, but before him there was Relena, who was just standing near the basement door. Keen ears picked up a soft chuckle, and a brow arched with suspicion. Blue Crystalline eyes wandered to see nothing.
....It's just Relena....
His mind spoke a conclusion before redirecting the tired looking Heartless into the kitchen. The sounds of cupboards being open and closed bounced off the walls before ceasing into a long moment of silent. As of right then, Elaeus looked blank at the cupboard's doors with yawn.
"It's...not in here...." It took his mind to grasp his own words before his eyes widened. A series of doors slamming and opening echoed through the kitchen with low grumbling and growling. Powerful arms slammed the door for the final time as the floor began to rumble. Elaues, Mr. I hate morning and mondays, was pissed. "IT'S NOT IN HERE!!!!!!"
The earthquake shook the ceiling as pieces of rubble it the marble floor. A bare foot Earth Titan walked out of the kitchen lightly with the unbelievable shakes emitting from him. "......Relena...." His head titled to the left; his hair hung with gravity limply as his eyes darkned to black diamonds. "Where is my...hot chocolate mug?"
Elaeus hardly ever ticked or erupted like he was trying to compress at the moment. Even the fingers by his side started to twitch slightly. He was definately far from a morning person.

Yep, he was pissed. Of the entire member's mugs to shoot a sphere through it had to be Elaeus', the one person in the house that would put a rock through your skull if you woke him up early. But there was no doubt that Relena would have rather woke him up than this. She glanced sideways at the basement door, calculating how long it would take her to get to it, open it up, and flee down the stairs. Too long. And she was too lazy to portal, Eleaus was a blood hound when it came to trying to find out where another member portalled to.
So that left her options to be 1-Begging for mercy (Out of the question) 2-Play dumb (After all...she was a blonde) Or 3-Tell him to 'something not very pleasant' off (Yep!) She casually strode over to the chair and took a seat, crinkling her nose as she felt the cracks of the mug stick in the cushion. "Oh, good morning Elaeus!' She gave a cheerful smile and flicked her wrist in a welcome gesture.
"Let's see...Hot...Chocolate...Mug..." she pretended to be lost in thought and contemplating about its whereabouts. Finally she looked up at him and grinned, "I'm sure that it's in the cabinets, maybe if you simply look again? I heard somewhere that older guys are prone to colour blindness...you should get your eyes checked too once you find your mug." She so innocently twirled her finger around a lock of blonde hair hanging from one of her ponytails and batted her eyelashes.
As long as the Earth Titan never found his lost cocoa mug Relena had it made. All she had to do was find it where he would never look...somewhere in Braig's room... "Good luck!" she chirped as she settled in the chair and waited for him to leave the room.

His brows dipped even more at the soft cherry voice she gave him with a smile that was driving him to rip it off her face with a diamond dagger. She even dared to say good morning and sit on a chair so nonchalantly as if his anger was invisible and clear as cleaned glass with a layer of Windex.
Onyx dark eyes glared at her as his fingers twitched with a crackling sound similar to diamonds rumbling together. Her innocent attitude wasn't aiding the Earth Titan at all. It only reminded him of the previous persona of Relena who wouldn't shut her bloody mouth. Now this one wasn't spewing stupidity at him, but another sense; he smelled mockery.
His eyes never blinked as she twirled her blonde hair with the batt of her eyelashes. "I must tell you that a.) if I happen to find my maroon clay ceramic mug with your scent on it be very sure that I would shoot something through you and lock you in a sphere of light. b.) Don't waste my time with your ploy; I had sisters in my life time. c.) I'm only in my twenties."
Now Elaeus began to think. Logically it would be wise to look in the cupboards again; when one panic they tend to overlook. He may have missed it in the shuffle of rage and a haste search.
No, I know the smell of that bloody cup, and my cup isn't in there. I must find that bloody cup for I can have some damned HOT CHOCOLATE!
It was evident that Elaeus was having a mental struggle, because the floors and walls continued to shake, while his eyes kept a sharp piercing gaze on Relena. His face rippled to a tranquil state as he turned on his heel to go back to the kitchen.... His foot stopped though as his nostrils twitched.

Well, if he was pissed before, saying he was pissed now would be an understatement. She had to curl her nails into the arms of the couch to avoid being thrown off the couch from the constant tremors. She thought she was off the hook when Elaeus began to head back to the kitchen, seeming to accept the fact that maybe he had just looked wrong. But wait, he stopped in mid-step, and then she noticed his nostrils twitched. There was the bloodhound side coming out of him.
That was it, she was in the dog house. "Oops, I forgot I had to deliver a letter to someone today...cheerio!" Relena got out of her chair, waved, and took off down the halls in hope Elaeus would not follow.

His nostrils twitched with a deep inhale as he took in the elements around him.
…..Clay….
His head titled up in a drunken trance to the point he couldn’t hear Relena’s voice and pattering mouse-like feet in a scurry to a little sanctuary down the hall away from shaking Heartless who eyes stared blankly at the ceiling.
….Dry Clay..…Ceramic….
His feet slowly led him away from the kitchen towards the coach and the one route to the hall. Different distinctive smells of clay met his nose with the various glazes that had coated the mugs. The strange thing is that the dusty scents were all here, in this room, outside of the kitchen. A growl rumbled in his chest as he sat on the couch with a sigh of annoyance. He was becoming like a crazed animal moments ago over a bloody mug.
….What the bloody…
The mental curse swore in his head at the prick against his rear. With another disruption, Elaues rose again with a glare at the coach.
Great did she infected the coach with her nuisance. Elaeus thought while brushing his rear, but stopped once feeling a noticeably hard lump on it.
With a pinch, he picked up a fragment. Lifting it to eye level, he saw one thing that made his brow twitched….maroon glaze.
“RELENA!!!!” Glasses in the kitchen shook before smashing against the floor as the furniture shifted with Elaeus' annoyance. Even his hair slightly stood with the shaking growl from his chest. Without delay he matched after the scent of Relena's dark signature.
...when I'm done with her she would look like a damned cheerio!...
Arumial was on his way to the kitchen. There were several reasons for this, as were most of his actions. 1- he wanted to eat something. 2- he was really bored. 3- he needed something to take his mind off the fact that he wasn't making as much progress with his big plan as he had wanted. 4- he was really bored.
As was his most favourite way to travel, he shadow-jumped through the corridors, his shadow-forms leaving no traces as they swept across the floor. He took no notice of the shaking tremors. It was early (at least in his case) and Elaeus usually made a fuss in trying to find his hot chocolate. For such a brilliant mind, he didn't half take his time trying to find his drinks. So tremors at this time in the day weren't really that surprising. However, when the big one came, he did become a little curious. Even this was a little excessive. The line was very thin and fluctuated often, but he'd been around Elaeus long enough to work it out. So with all this running through his head, he wasn't really looking where he was shadow-jumping, and so he found himself colliding straight into Relena.
There was one thing you had to learn about shadow-jumping- once you started, you didn't stop until you got to your destination unless some herculean force pulled you back. One blonde heartless didn't count as herculean. So he ended up in the kitchen, which he meant to do. However, Relena also seemed to be nearby, which he had not intended.
So in this state of confusion, where Elaeus was obviously pissed (understatement of the century) all Arumial could say was, 'So... bad morning person?'
Post by sagefirefox on Dec 22, 2008 21:55:03 GMT -4
So there she was, fleeing from Elaeus, when suddenly Arumial the bastard collides into her. Of course he keeps going, without as much as a 'sorry' and she was left stunned.
Well, it would make the story more interesting if Relena gave up just then and allowed Elaeus to get her. But she felt that since Arumial was there, Elaeus wouldn't kill her. So she picked herself up off the floor and started heading back to the kitchen, getting ready to flee at any second if Elaeus ignored Arumial and continued to advance on Relena.
She reached the hallway and leaned against the open doorway as if to make a statement to Elaeus as if she didn't care. The purple stung her eyes as Arumial came into view. She felt so gender confused as his light purple pants and matching lilac hair clashed against her dark reds. Poor Elaeus still didn't look ready to forgive her and she quirked a brow at this.
It was true she was by far, not the quickest on her feet, but what she lacked in speed she made up for in defense. Not only was she pretty good with defense, but she had some mean sneak attacks. It had been awhile since she joined this group, yet no one knew of her secret abilities yet. Relena wasn't even sure if any of the members knew that her sphere could shift into different shapes.
Her sapphire eyes blinked once at Arumial, studying him. She wondered silently just who was the most powerful in this room here. Most likely Elaeus and then Arumial. Still thinking she thought the only way to find out would be to have a little match--not that she'd want to fight--but it would be the only way.

The sounds of hard solids rustling together screetched in Elaeus' ears as if own eyes shifted to look at Arumial with a blank gaze and darkness reeking from him into the shaking grounds. He snorted as his interior started to harden and shift underneath what looked to be his skin. Matterless darkness was conducting into rocks and gemstones. His hair was stiff and cut like a crystal before answering.
".....I hate mornings...." His voice was low and left out any sense of elaborations and details. Elaeus was becoming more silent like his nobody. His nose twitched in irritation, while turning his head to Relena's general direction with closed eyes. His glare deppened with a dip of his brows.
In reaction, the piece of the building that framed the door came forth with Relena in front of the moving boulder. Now the blonde was carried to Elaeus' eye level. "If you have anything to say now make it quick for I can make this much quicker." The boulder parted into sharp spikes. Yes, Elaeus was far from a morning person for he's more intuned with his irrational heartless nature instead of the thread of humane qualities of judgement.
Hot Chocolate was a soothing delacy he was familiarized with since child hood. It was somewhat of a stress reliever to have a warm mug of the sweet rich scent near him as it was an easy headache reliever to a great awakener. With it he can recollect his thoughts in an orderly fashion, then start a day disruptively and become more violent and senseless like a common shadow.
.....I want my mug.......now.... His mind statted bluntly with simplicity as if an motivation to pierce the rocks through Relena to make him feel better. After a while, Elaeus' gaze became lazy, then cold.
Arumial shadow-jumped between them, his hands held out consolingly. 'Okay, let's not make this deeper than it already is- Relena made an honest mistake (whatever it was) so let's just forgive and forget...'
What the hell was he saying? Forgive and forget? He was in the World That Never Was, for crying out loud. You didn't get any of this forget concept here, and forgiveness might as well just not have existed. And especially in this situation- everything that could have gone wrong had gone wrong. It was just the wrong time of day, the wrong problem and exactly the wrong people who had gotten involved. It was almost impressive how precise they were in picking out the most negative outcomes possible.
So just in case, he sliced away the points on the rocks surrounding them.
Post by sagefirefox on Dec 23, 2008 18:10:37 GMT -4
Ah yes. The terrifying rock pushed her forward so that she was staring into the eyes of Elaeus who looked like he was slowly turning into rock. She felt sharp points poke into her back and realized he had made crystals appear on the back as if to prepare to skewer her. She could see that she would only be released if and when she gave the answer he wanted. So she took a deep breath and started to say something when all pressure from her back was released.
She turned to see how much of the rock Arumial had sliced away before jumping backward on the rock and them doing a backward flip off of it to wide up back at her normal spot--though this time she was a few feet away from the chunk of rock. With mild amusement she commented, "Well I guess it's show-off-your-powers day, huh?" Silently she pulled out a sphere and acted nonchalant as she made it swirl around in her open palm.
"Look, Elaeus, I'll pay you back, get any human you want me to get in return for forgiveness." Humans, they were so easy to barter off to other members of the organization. Though she added in something quick before he could ask, "Except that one." Everyone thought that asking for any human meant any human, but in truth, it left out the one that no one was capable of getting. She looked Elaeus in the eye and she casually flicked the sphere out of her hand and shattered the rock in the entryway into little chunks of pebbles and other small stones.

Elaeus mind was on one thing now; he wanted to have Relena in pieces. The thought of his precious sharp rocks and diamonds clashing and cracking the tall narrow window with splattered remains of darkness was just as erotically soothing than a hot mug of hot chocolate. He could see his insanity, the true Heartless nature, gaze at the mess with admiration at the work of violent art. Without remorse, The Earth Titan would inhale the warm long chocolate steams through his nostrils, while holding her heart in his free hand. His cold eyes would be smile with a sadistic hue, while his body language would be as warm and rich then the sweet beverage. While lounging comfortably without a waring mental conflict of morals, he would peacefully inhale his hot chocolate, while clutching unto a luminous heart, Relena's, before it slips from his index and middle finger to return back into the Realm of Darkness for a rebirth
Unfortunately, his unconscious stopped the tranquil imagery once Arumial decided to be a wall between the pair. He only picked up a few words from the Skilled Swordmaster, Relena, honest, forgive, and forget.
Darkness nearly blasted from his frame at the ambiguous request that would only come from a winky dink fortune cookie from a cheep Chinese Food Restaurant. Instead his head turned to Arumial with a blank gaze that clearly read between them, Are you serious to put Relena and honest in the same sentence without using the wordnot!
Truly the last persona called Relena was a piece of work that was hard to not murder in cold blood continously. If that persona was to stay with them even longer, Elaeus would have evolved into a true sadistic heartless bastard with a key priority to make the female heartless miserable and using her as a stimulation for a masochist nature. Thankfully, Relena had returned into the Realm of Darkness in a dark slumber as was reborn into a somewhat different individual. Although she stirred trouble and was less annoying than before, honesty would have been the last word to use. Oh the irony.
Before he could verbally retort about the Heartless foolish statement and abuse of their ranks, Elaeus' ears picked up a feminine voice among the three after the high pitched cuting sound that sliced through his weaponry that pressed against her back. The keywords that captured his attention was pay you back...
What would getting any human I want do for me if what I want now is a damn cup of hot chocolate? His mind grumbled with an irrate attitude, but Elaeus' mood altered at the foolish deal.
His exterior softened immensely at the definite problem that was proposed at him. Not long ago he was talking with Ienzo about the Dark Member's future and so much more. Now this deal was to be shut down before they can make any future declarations of possible projects and missions. Their decisions now can effect the complexity of the goal that was arousing few of the Heartless now.
"Who said I ever would want a human? They may contain what I want, but that doesn't mean that they themselves would be completely useful to me. Let's attempt to eliminate any activities to get any human. Such decisions now can bite us back even harshly and damaging for what we want to do in the mere future, which is much closer than you think."
"I would appreciate a simple mug full of hot chocolate at the moment more than a mortal in our territory with possible others looking for them." Elaeus was more humane then he was when he awakened. His eyes were back to its fair crystalline as his hair and skin relaxed.
Without much of a thought, the pieces of the wall mended back together into the hole it originated from. He was recollecting himself, while inwardly frowning down at his ignorant behavior and thoughts as he mentally scolded himself. "Forgive me for the unneeded disturbance." His head was down before drawing it back to reveal the true Elaeus that lies within the depths of darkness.
Like before his eyes scanned over Relena, then Arumial. "....Oh yes.... I am serious about...the hot chocolate." Walking past them, he tugged Arumial's sleeve and flicked a lock of blonde hair in Relena's ponytail as he headed towards the kitchen.
(=o edited...I made an attempt x.x hopefully it's better.)

((Elaeus can you add a bit more description to your post? I seem to get lost as I read it. No offense, love the post, could never have the muse to write that much, but whose lock of hair? And when he's thinking about killing Relena, could you elaborate? It's like you jump around the place a lot. If you can fix those things, that'd be great, thanks!))
((Lol, I foundz the castle! I wasn't sure if this thread was before or after my confrontation with Elaeus, so I waited... But now I know! Mind if I join? Or would the gap be strange? I'll delete this if it messes anything up.))
A pair of metal eyes opened, staring up at the blank gray ceiling, the black eyelashes not yet ready to fully open. Ienzo gave the attempt to move once, without effect, and sighed. How late was it? Noon? Later? He himself was a night person, for the night cast greater shadows, but since he reunited with Elaeus, he had promised himself to deal with their schedule. He didn't even know if Arumial and Relena knew if he was here.
When he got here didn't matter. The memory had left him as he had gotten a good night's sleep (which he hadn't done since his Rebirth). Now, he was prepared to start a new life with new friends.
Ienzo slowly rose, his dark-matter muscles still trying to fully regain structure, and he finally managed to sit up straight, his back to the bed frame. He could feel the black tattoo on his right arm moving below the skin, where it could not be seen. It never slept, and only ate when he did.
Ienzo pulled on a white t-shirt and his faded denim jeans and slumped into the kitchen, getting lost twice on the way. It was only when he was in the hallway before raching it that he felt the tremors...
A person burst into the hallway and Ienzo was invisible, pressed against the shadows, melded into them. It was Relena.
He almost jumped out to say hi, but just as he was relinquishing himself from the wall, another figure appeared out of nowhere! He was off to the kitchen, and Relena was forced back to whatever scene was going on.
The Heartless slowly walked forward, preparing for the worst, (Some sort of attack? What was going on?), and he heard it: "Hot.... Chocolate!"
Uh-oh. Ienzo smiled as he realized what was going on. It seemed that somebody was angry, and Relena must have been the target, or at least the reason. He tiptoed forward, the smile going from ear to ear, eager to see what all was happening. If he was right, this could be hilarious, considering Relena didn't always think things through and Elaeus had an incredibly short temper in the mornings... ((Just like always, from what Ienzo could remember.)
He stood in the doorway to see a collection of rocks jutting out from random points, and watched the scene as Relena pleaded for forgiveness. Inezo was surprised. Relena was smarter than some of the other Heartless he knew. She didn't let pride get in her way. He smiled again as he leaned against the door frame, rubbing his eyes as he messed with a hole in his shirt.
He hadn't brushed his hair yet, so, naturally, it was everywhere.
