In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Kaze, being behind Kira, only had two things to do: make sure nothing was coming up on them from behind and follow. It was easy and simple, foolproof even, nobody could screw it up. Kaze was an exception.
It wasn't that he couldn't do one of his two obligations. It was that he was rather doing more.
"We can stop now, it's all clear," he said, getting slightly out of breath. All the things he does kept him in top physical condition, which was a blessing at times like these. Though, his mental state was sometimes not as good.
"What do you think happened to him?" Of course, he was speaking of Kioku. Kaze had no theories regarding the matter, if anything it was that maybe Kioku was starting to become a heartless. He recalled briefly a friend whose father seemed to be going through that...
That was in the past now. Regardless, he couldn't help but wonder if there are more people like the two he knew of, who were slowly becoming heartless or were heartless already. Kaze didn't know. Kioku didn't act like one of them, so what could've possibly set this on? It had to be his eye, Kaze knew that much...
Slowing down and then leaning over to catch her breath, Kirata heard all of what Kaze had said and asked. However, wanting to answer the question, she needed to catch her breath. Being magically dependent, Kirata hadn't really trained her body all that much. Perhaps just for short bursts of energy for her graceful fan fighting... but that was pretty much it.
"I think..." Kirata started, pausing to pant some more. She swallowed and stood up straighter, "I don't know what to think what happened to him..." her mind was spinning with possibilities of what could have happened to Kioku.... Did she want to think about them? Not at all... but she couldn't help it. It was like looking at something you didn't want to look, but keeping your eyes glued to it, or taking second glances.
Confusing... that's what all of this was. Confusing.

"Hm..." he said, letting the subject float, rather than go anywhere.
"I... Think it would have something to do with his eye." He seemed rather final about that, and seemed like he knew what he was talking about. Of course, he didn't, but that didn't matter. Kaze thought it was something, and he was sure of it, and that was all that mattered to him.
(...Post sucks, I might edit it later, but he doesn't really have a ton to respond to D:)
Nodding and looking to where they came from, Kirata took in a deep breath and tried to slow her heavy breathing. She was a little calmer now, but that didn't change the fact that she was still afraid of and for what happened with Kioku. Just... suddenly vanishing like that? It wasn't something that happened often... in fact... it was probably something that someone that didn't have to deal with the things that others, like herself and Kaze, had to... and they would have probably thought it all just a dream.
"That was pretty strange, wasn't it...?" Kirata replied, turning her gaze back to Kaze and then looking to the ground. Whatever happened... it looks like the duo was going to sit and think it out. Better to be prepared than to suffer the consequences, she supposed.

"It was..." he said, not knowing what else to say. Maybe he could say something about his friend's father...
No, he shouldn't. It might make her more scared of what could happen to... Anyone, really. They both seemed like normal people. It was just so confusing to Kaze, and it didn't help he wasn't really that good at social skills. He preferred to do his own thing most of the time. Sure, he had his fair share of friends, but he didn't really have that one friend he can just talk to all the time and not really care about what he says. Not that he doesn't do that already, he does, but regardless it would seem less awkward on some things he says.
Well, he didn't let things like that stop his then, so why should they stop his now?
"I... Had a friend whose father... I don't know, it seemed as if he was slowly turning into a heartless. So..." He didn't finish that sentence. He preferred to let her come up with her own conclusions, he had his already.
Kirata heard Kaze speak... but it seemed to have been blurred out by her mind at the moment and what was going through it. Snapping back to reality, she looked to Kaze, her gray eyes filled with curious horror of what was going on and what it was that he had just said to her. He had a friend who's father was slowly turning into a Heartless? That... must have been really tough... Kirata would have never known that experience with someone that she cared about... but then again....
Just then a pang of fear entered her being once more. What if... what if Ikari had been turned into a Heartless herself? What if when they were reunited, Kirata would actually have to exterminate her best friend? The what if possibilities were endless... and they seemed to scare Kira the more she actually thought about it.
"A part of me... just doesn't want to believe it..." Kira responded, looking down at the ground with a saddened expression.

"Same here. But, it was only one case, don't get worried, it seems to be super rare..." That was only half true. Kaze was just trying to get her to calm down and bring up her spirits from how low they already were. Maybe it would work, maybe not. He didn't know.
He looked around a bit, making sure that nothing dangerous was in sight. He couldn't see anything, only a few people walking by, but there was no danger and Kaze knew where they were. They would be fine- hopefully.
It seemed slightly ironic to Kaze, normally he was the one who was paranoid. He guessed he showed that anyway from his looking around, but it seemed that since then both Kira and himself hadn't really calmed down. Maybe he should get her mind off of things...
"Hey, what about that magic training? Want to start it?"
Kirata nodded a bit to what Kaze said... if it was super rare, that was a good thing, right? But... what about all the other people that had been turned into Heartless themselves? Now it was like... getting rid of Heartless was like going on a homicidal killing spree. If Heartless used to be people... then yes... that's almost exactly what it was.
She inhaled, closed her eyes and let out a sigh, trying to bring herself back to being calm. Kira's heart still pounded in her chest, but her body no longer felt as if it were pumped full of adrenaline any more.
"Hey, what about that magic training? Want to start it?"
"Oh... yeah, sure." Kirata replied, "I had almost forgotten..."[/color[

"Same here, to be honest..." He laughed nervously, hoping it would ease the moment, but he doubted it. What in the world could ever ease this moment? Maybe after some magic training their minds would be off of it and they would be able to laugh later on about things...
Folding up her fans, Kirata put them back into her sash for safe keeping and then turned to Kaze, still trying to get that image of Kioku and the other mental images that had recently come into mind, out. She shook her head slightly, put on a small, halfhearted smile and then turned to Kaze. Training... that's what all three of them were originally going to do... and that's what needed to be done to be able to increase beneficiary skills for later combat, should either of them come to that point some time in the near future.
"So... what to get started on training first, do you propose?" Kirata asked, looking around cautiously. It wasn't that Twilight Town was a dangerous place, or anything... well, not unless you met your doppelganger in that waterfall... then there was something to be a bit worried about. Kirata had remembered a time when Ikari had met hers and discovered it to actually be faster than herself... which was a bit of a shock all by itself, considering that Ikari focused her time in increasing her strength, speed and stamina.
Ikari was way beside the point at this time, though. Right now, what was important was what was going on at this point and time. Training was what was on the agenda and training was what was going to be getting done!

"Well", Kaze started, thinking over what he could learn. What could he learn? It really was a rhetorical question if anything, he could learn anything, really. There was so much to learn, yet Kaze couldn't learn it all. He knew he had to learn now what he could put to the best use later on. But, the first step to learning...
"Well, what can you teach me?" he asked, full of curiosity and a desire- a craving- to learn.
What could she teach him? Well, the possibilities were pretty much endless from Kirata's standpoint at the moment. She could use and teach all sorts of magic... though at the moment, only base, level one magic. Still though! There was fire, thunder, ice, earth, time... there was still a lot to be learned by Kira herself, but considering her age and what elements of magic she already knew? She could easily tell Kaze what to do and how to do it... though it may take a longer amount of time for him than it did herself... considering the fact that her magic trainer referred to Kira as a 'magical prodigy'.
"Well... just about any base, level one magic that is available! Except for Cure spells... I'm still not that good at that one, but I'm learning that as well! But things like fire, or thunder, or blizzard, or earth-based magic... or time..." Kirata listed, now starting to feel more excited than worried. All this training talk was getting her mind off of what had happened a few minutes ago rather swiftly... which was a very good thing. If those thoughts still crossed the ginger haired girl's mind, then her focus would be lost and would have probably be ending up teaching Kaze the wrong things....

"Time based magic would probably be the best for me to learn," he said, hoping he didn't misunderstand her.
What kinds do you know?" he asked, shifting a bit. He didn't know why, really, he shifted, it was such a small change, maybe he was anxious for learning. Or he was cold. He didn't really know.
(Such a crappy post, and so late too, I should have a novel written up. So sorry Dx)
Hearing what Kaze said made Kirata beam. Time magic was what he wanted to learn? Then sure! Time magic was what was going to be taught! But what to teach first was the question that arose. All types of time magic were difficult to learn... after all, time is always in motion, even if you manage to cast a time spell of Stop, Slow or Haste.
"What kinds do you know?"
"Well!" Kirata started, turning to Kaze, "there's the basic level one of Slow and Haste. Then there's also an advanced time based spell of Stop." Kirata paused for a moment... was that how she learned it? She was sure it was... Slow and Haste came well before she ever mastered Stop, and even then, the spell of Stop didn't last that long and even drained her mana faster.
Looking to Kaze once more, Kira placed her hands on her hips and looking him up and down. Perhaps starting with casting a Slow spell and being able to hold it for a minimum of five seconds should be used to start off. Though... there remained the question of what to cast it on, considering that Slow was usually cast upon an enemy/foe target.
Ah! There! A bird perched on top of a lamp post.
"Okay Kaze!" Kirata said, pointing to the bird, "you see that bird over there?" she grinned a bit and waited for Kaze's response or acknowledgment before she decided to provide an example of what she was going to teach him.

(No problem~)
"Well!" Kirata started, turning to Kaze, "there's the basic level one of Slow and Haste. Then there's also an advanced time based spell of Stop."
"Hm..." He started thinking on what he should learn first. There was always the possibility of slowing his enemies, letting him or any allies come and help beat the guy up. Though, haste might come in handy when fleeing from more than one enemy... He had to get his priorities in battle straight. Was it to help with allies on his side, or assist in running when hurt? He didn't think of learning stop after he heard that it was advanced. Maybe he'd learn it later. Not now.
"Okay Kaze!" Kirata said, pointing to the bird, "you see that bird over there?" He looked over to where she was pointing, and saw a small bird perched there on the lamp, he recognized that post. He had sat against it before and reflected on things before moving on and walking away.
"Mmhmm, I see it," he said, careful not to scare it off. That would be unfortunate, he figured she was going to demonstrate or something. After all, why would one point out some bird that they just turned and saw? Well, Kira seemed like someone who enjoyed life, so, why wouldn't she? Kaze liked birds. He thought it would be cool to fly. That was made even more awesome by the fact that he can already hover. He doubted that he could hover after jumping off a building, his momentum would send him crashing to the ground, but he made sure to practice now and then when he could. One day, he vowed, he would be able to fly.
A grin fell upon his face, mostly in anticipation, the rest of that was his imagining how gravity and physics would weep.
