In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Kaze was a bit surprised when she first grabbed his hands, but he didn't let her see how he felt about it. Mainly because he was alright with it. He didn't quite know why just yet, but it didn't seem weird. Maybe it just went along with her personality... Kaze would think about that later, but for now he had to deal with the topic on hand.
"So, what shall we learn together? I'm up for anything~"
He already learned slow. He could slow his enemies to allow himself more hits or a quicker getaway. He already half-learned cure. He could heal himself after he got away. So... He needed something to attack from a distance in case there were multiple enemies. He had three choices, but he went with the one that made the most sense to him...
"Do you know any thunder spells?" he asked, still not pulling away from her grasp. His keyblade resembles lightning, so he would have to test out its effects in conjunction with the thunder spell. Would it amplify its power? Or would it do... something else? Or, the most plausible answer in Kaze's mind, would it do nothing?
Normally, Kirata was one that treated everyone eaqually-- refusing to choose favourites because that would just be unfair to the people that she was working with. The main exception was Hikari when they were together. Though... it had been two years, and there was no sight of the raven-haired girl anywhere. It was disheartening, but being with Kaze actually somehow made it all better. There wasn't anything that could explain it... it just... felt right.
Slow was off the list for things to be getting to learn. So what else was there that she could possibly learn with or teach to him? Well, there were several offensive casts that she could be teaching him, such as fire, thunder, ice and earth spells. Then there were the other spells that were passive; Haste, Stop-- and perhaps a little bit of Cure. She was still learning Cure herself, after all.
"Do you know any thunder spells?"
Grinning, Kira tightened her hold on his hands just by and bit and responded, "yeah! I know the first three levels, Thunder, Thundara and Thundaga!" The ginger's excitement level was slowly rising more and more as the prospect was unfurling to more training and spending time together. That was so like her... enjoying the company she had and making the most of it.

(OMGWTF HOLY CAPSLOCKLATENESS BATMAN *hides*)
Kaze grinned. Maybe it was at her knowledge of thunder spells. Or maybe it was directed at her grip. Wait, what? What was Kaze thinking to himself? Kaze, the self proclaimed perma-loner? No, it couldn't be. But, he couldn't stop.
"Awesome," he replied, "How would I do it?" Of course, this was in regards to the spell. Anything else would be... Well, irrelevant. Mostly. He had his theory... His keyblade, he didn't know how, but he knew it was called Ride the Lightning. That could not be a coincidence. It had something to do with lightning, the spells he would learn would perhaps prove his theories right or wrong. Hopefully right, of course, but only time will tell.
... *shakes head* Heh. It also seems as if I made an error in my last post @_@ *was thinking that Kirata knew all levels of Blizzard spells, not Thunder* >< I get her magic confused a lot D;
"Awesome, how would I do it?"
Letting go of his hands and skipping away a bit, she turned to face Kaze with that same grin on her face. Shaking her bangs out of her face, Kirata closed her grey eyes and thought of how it was that she learned Thunder spells. Originally, it had been Hikari that had learned them before she ever had... but that didn't change the fact that she could still do it better. An amusing thought, but not really relevant at this point and time.
Opening her eyes and looking to Kaze once more, Kirata said, "well... you wanna focus your mana to a point," she held out her hands here, "most likely the palm of your hands, and just..." she paused, trying to figure out a way to explain this in a better fashion. She moved her hands up and down slightly, trying to form the words that she was trying to get across.
"It's hard to explain... you kind of want to focus your mana, and 'bend' it with the image of what you're trying to accomplish, in this case, lightning...."

(So so so so so so so sorry! DDDDD8)
"Uh... Hm. I'll give it a shot." To be honest, Kaze did not think she was a great teacher. Sure, she taught him slow. That would be very, very useful later on. But now she's talking about focusing this and that and bending it, too. Kaze decided he would try the same thing with slow. Maybe by him just trying it he would learn it. He knew she was trying, or at least she looked the part, so Kaze would try. It was an "If you will I will" deal there, with no spoken agreement. That, and it was entirely one-sided. Regardless...
He tried focusing his mana once more. It came a bit quicker than it did last time. What did he have to do now? Focus it on his palms? He tried that, and the glow around his hands slowly but noticeably became more focused. It was at this point that he turned from Kirata, intent on firing at a wall. He broke his concentration for a split second to look around, checking if anyone would yell at him, and some of his progress was lost. Great. Wonderful. Just more time wasted...
He thought of lightning. He thought of powerful, grey-black clouds dominating a bleak landscape, enshrouding everything that was so unfortunate to be underneath with a blanket of shadows, piercing tridents of light shooting down like bullets. Bullets into... What? Nothing, really. He just imagined the lightning, it was the center. He didn't know how to bend it, so he just kept thinking of it in different ways. Maybe this works, maybe that works, and hopefully one of them did.
And all that came from his effort was a spark- large enough to hit the wall but too small to deal any significant damage if he needed it. He should've went with a bow or something.
