In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

((SORRY!!))
She nodded with his assurance and looked forward. "So which way do we go?" she asked with a little less worry in her voice. Sunset Terrace sounded nice--and warm--and Sage rubbed her arms as she checked over her shoulder to make sure that nothing was following her. There was just something eerie about having seen a creature that was out to steal your heart that unnerved you. That and the fact that Sage had to keep an eye out for these creatures in a place that she knew nothing about.
Pointing down a street, he said, "If memory serves correctly, it should be this way." Though she still sounded nervous, Louis kept a steady pace, constantly listening for Sage's footsteps and the sound of any appearing adversaries.
He glanced around him, taking note of what was added in his absence...

"If memory serves correctly, it should be this way."
If: a word that holds the fate of your life; I'm not sure but I think so; a word that all Firefoxes dread: If we go this way, the bear might eat us. Sage gave Louis a look which she knew he wouldn't receive, mainly because it was directed to the back of his head. She knew that she wouldn't stay here all alone, because it always seemed that when Sage was alone, terrible things happened. Because of this, she had no choice but to follow. Soon one could easily hear two sets of footsteps walking down the street rather than one.
The hairs on the back of his neck stood again, but not in response to a threatening manner. He could feel Sage's glaring upon his backside. T'was understandable; she was nervous, felt a tad threatened in a new area. But still, Louis was going to make sure that nothing would harm her, even in the slightest. T'was his vow, his creed, in a sense: At all costs, make sure the women are alright.
He grinned beneath his helmet. At least he kept one lesson from his childhood with him.
Within a matter of 3 minutes, the duo had reached the train station which would get them to the other side of town, Sunset Terrace. Looking back to Sage, he said, "We're almost there. We've just got to take the train, and we'll be there. Are you alright with trains?"

It was a short walk until they reached a strange place. It had a large box-like thing with more connected to it. Each had windows and appeared to be a sort of mode of transportation. Louis answered the question of 'what is this?' by saying, 'Are you alright with trains?'. Train... that's what this monstrous thing was. One thing was for certain though, she had never really seen one of these before. Sage tilted her head very slightly, it was barely even noticeable as she continued to examine it. Then she turned to Louis with a confused face and asked, "What's a train?" She understood what it was. But just not what it did. Did it fly, roll, or push?
With a chuckle and grin, Louis indicated towards one of the large, steaming machines parked within the station. "That over there is a train. It'll roll along those train tracks over there to get us to our destination. Any objections?"

Sage shook her head and watched as several people poured themselves out of a box of the train. No she didn't have any objections, but she was rather nervous to get on such a thing. Never had she had to face so many new things at one whenever she went to a new world. A loud whistle made her jump and put her hands over her ears. She watched on as people boarded the train without even a moment's hesitation. It looked cramped if not a little space-invading to be on with one of those boxes with so many people. Well, there was a time for everything and Sage wasn't one to show her feelings in front of people. Without even daring her gaze away from the trains she asked Louis, "Which train is ours?"
As Sage jumped in response to the whistle, Louis subtly grinned. This must all have been new to her. He shrugged as she asked her question. "Well, we shan't find out until we get our tickets, now shall we?"
With that remark, Louis led the way into the station, removing his helmet in the shade of the indoors, then approaching the ticket to the kiosk.
He smiled to the man inside the kiosk. "2 tickets to Sunset Terrace, please."
"1000 Munny, please."
Reaching into his pants pocket, he pulled out his leather wallet; On it was the basic Yin-Yang symbol. He pulled out a 1000 Munny note and gave it to the man behind the kiosk. "I believe that should cover it, my good man."
"...Yes, it does. Thank you, sir. Here are your tickets. Second rail, have a nice day."
"Thank you, my good sir. May you have a fine day as well."
Looking back to Sage, he pointed to the second rail, the duo's train awaiting them. "That one over there, on rail two, shall be our ride." Louis was excited. He could remember back when the railroads had just been finished. He would marvel about their speed, their size, everything about them. They were like nothing he had ever seen before back then. Now looking at Sage, he remembered that some people react differently to change.
Giving Sage her ticket, Louis began his approach to the train, looking back to Sage, indicating to come forward. "Come now, my friend, for our ride awaits." Turning his head back forward, he smiled like he was seventeen again.

She carefully took the ticket and begun to look over the writing on it. The number two appeared often and she remembered once again that they were on rail number 2. After a couple more sentences on the location and destination there was something that stuck out to Sage, "1000 munny!" Now, she had never really used the currency before, it was usually steal or go hungry, and seeing a 1 with a couple zeros after it made her freak out. "Louis, I don't have enough to cover this, I'm flat-out broke!" It was true, the last time she had any money at all was a long time ago. Still she continued following but just waiting for him to turn and take the ticket from her. In any normal situation she might have taken the ticket and run but this time she wouldn't, not with a friend.
Louis chuckled, and as the two reached the train, he turned back to Sage, holding his helmet under his left arm and ruffling the confused Firefox's hair with his right hand. His warm smile emanated a feel of comfort, modest and true.
"Sage, there is no need to fret. I have it covered. I would not be so rude as to take your ticket and make you walk. Feel free to consider this...a gift."
And it was true. Louis did not know many people he could call a friend in this time. The least he could do for this one was a 500 Munny Train Ticket.
And with that, he made a bow of courtesy, allowing Sage to be the first one among them to board the train.

She boarded the train right away, somewhat eager to pick out the best spot. A comfortable--looking seat came into view and she made a mad dash for it. Instead of getting that seat however, a rather odd-looking boy took the seat before she could and she stopped in the middle of the aisle. "Hey, I was going to sit there!" she said the to kid who had just obviously ticked her off. Being the stubborn Firefox that she was, she wasn't going to sit down unless it was in the spot that this two-colored-eyed kid had just taken. What she wanted was for him to move, now.
The tall man looked from side to side. This was a strange place. Similar to Radiant Garden, yet...different. Everything seemed laid-back in this town. And everything seemed to be in order. All the time. So, this was a pretty obvious place to relax.
Suddenly, he heard a voice. It seemed a little angry...
Mamoru looked up with a devilish smirk. It wasn't often he had people talk to him. Perhaps it was his different eyes, or his towering height. Maybe it was the black stitches making their way down the right side of his face...
" Sit here? Oh, no. I believe this is my seat now..." He replied, smiling to reveal a flashy smile, small fangs clearly visible. "...Or would you like to take it from me? I don't think causing a commotion would be wise."
" Sit here? Oh, no. I believe this is my seat now..."
As Louis watched this scene take place, he was shocked! Such rudeness... How could anyone be so uncourteous?! To take someone's seat alone was enough of a crime, but to do so to a lady?! This was unbearable. He had to take some action.
"...Or would you like to take it from me? I don't think causing a commotion would be wise."
With the visor to his helmet down, Louis approached the man and stood in front of Sage. "No, sir, I do not believe it would be wise at all. So, for your sake, I suggest you find another seat, promptly."
His voice was tense, that rare streak of anger so noticeable in his unseen face, his clenched fist. He did not want to fight; Such was never the proper answer. However, it did not seem a proper answer would be in sight with this misbehaved, rude, juvenile scoundrel.

Sage was about to sock this kid (though he was most likely older) in the face with her fist when Louis jumped in. "No, sir, I do not believe it would be wise at all. So, for your sake, I suggest you find another seat, promptly." Her eyes widened briefly in surprise before she moved to get a clearer view of the boy and smirked at him. Sage would always win if she were up against a kid who really made her blood boil.
If he did not move right away, she would be forced to go over and grab him by his shirt and push him out of the seat. And if he did not move, then it would be a very long train ride indeed. Her fingers curved into a threatening stance, as if she had claws. Shifting into a Firefox would be the last thing she would do, considering she didn't need all these people on the train seeing her do something like that. And after shifting into a fox, she would still have to endure the train ride, full of people, people who knew her secret. Still her smirk stayed there, she was not letting up on this while she still had a chance.
Mamoru raised an eyebrow at the two. He must have been older than the girl, no doubt about that. And the male? He couldn't have been any older...However, the Soul Reaper refused to move from his comfortable spot on the train; his back against the seat, feet firmly planted on the floor. He made sure to give them a quizzical 'are you kidding?' look, before, turning his head to look out the window.
"Hm. I apologize if it annoys you, but I am not moving from this spot. I shall enjoy my train ride to my chosen destination, I shall get off of the train when it gets there, and I shall enjoy my stay. And you two, shall stay where you are, wait for your destination, and enjoy yourselves. Are we clear?" The reaper flashed them a deadly grin before turning his head once again.
(It's so very short. I apologize a million times over.)
