In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

At first, it seemed that his plan had worked. The fireballs where coming down directly towards woman. But the witch played her next card; dark portals. One was created on top of her, saving her from the firestorm. "Damn it..." Mikael muttered to himself. But the witch's attack was not over; she opened a portal on top of the red haired man (Maverick).
"Oh dear... Seems that plan did not go completely according to plan... How awful..."
But the boy reacted and created a dark portal of his own. Mikael could only hope that he was okay. But he now needed to find a way to attack the dark spellcaster succesfully. Maybe by using her own portals? Too risky, and she might remove them if he moved towards them. That wall of fire also complicated the things.
"Hey! I think I have just found out a way through." The teen thought. He advanced forward quickly towards her; but he didn't intended to be harmed by the wall. Mikael ran to the right, intending to strike her from the side.
"Rook, you take one side and I'll take the other!"
"Yes, your Majesty!" Rook did not hesitate as he changed his course, diverting towards Marluxia, BlackJack Keyblade drawn. He did not have to go far, as Marluxia sped at him. Rook skidded to a halt, holding up the blade to avoid the petals to the face, but they tore at his body, ripping large holes in his vest, shirt, and pantlegs, blood drawing at the breaks in his skin.
"You. Red Haired one. Tell me....do you fear the darkness?"
Shaking, he looked up. Marluxia loomed over him and he frowned. A shroud of Darkness began to envelop Rook as he struggled to back away but found it too late. Marluxia had taken firm hold of him.
The Keyblade dropped from his hand and disappeared in a shimmer, and Rook craned his head towards King Mickey, and shook his head. "I'm sorry, Sir..." was all he could say, before disappearing into the void of Darkness.
627 growled like a frusturated hellhound as he saw the pinm-dressed girl and her black-haired friend making a run for it. The furry red devil tried to pursue on all sixes, but inbetween he and his targets was that silver-haired boy. God .... that look in the kid's eyes ..... and that weird smell ...... 627 found it amusing. Whatever the kid was doing, he was ready to commit suicide or something. Of coarse, anyone that would even TRY to stand up to such an awesome experiment would be a stupid imbecile.
The little alien stood up and casually walked by the silver-haired kid. He had no time to fight a weakling again. The kid had that scent, but it was tolerable. It wasn't as horrid as the pink girl's light, or the monstrous darkness that overflowed the castle. 627 will take care of this boy later.
Anyhow, 627 walked right up to the boy. With one arm, he shoved the kid a couple feet away to the side. 627 pointed three fingers at him and laughed like a maniac again. "Evil! Evil? Mwahahahahaaaa!!" Gaining his wild monster side again, the alien experiment jumped down on all six limbs and charged after the two escaping girls, Hikari and Kairi. Light must die!!!! 627 pounced into the air after the two, slobber was flying all around the place .....
I... actually have nothing much for either Ikari or Kairi-- so... apologies for a lack of... something or other for them.
[Kairi]
The auburn-haired girl continued to follow after Ikari... if Riku trusted her with certain things, then there was no reason that she, herself, shouldn't have done the same. Kairi also trusted Riku with her life, if he was going to take care of something so small, then so be it... but there was just something about that red creature that struck Kairi the very moment she had laid her eyes upon it. It's aura. It wreaked of something horrible. She didn't know how she could really make it out, but it was something that Kairi was able to pick up on after a while.
It was then that Kairi heard it. Heavy panting... the sound of feet hitting the ground... the slightly manic composure being drawn out in all of this. She didn't want to look back... if there was anything that she was taught, it was not to. Looking back only instilled more fear... she was told this a while back.
Still though... she had this urge to do so. Perhaps this is why people say fairly often 'curiosity killed the cat.' One could not blame the cat for being curious... however, the events that led to it's death was something that only it could blame itself for.
Keep going... keep going... it was a mental plea that ran throughout Kairi's mind as she and the fire-girl ran down the halls of the Disney Castle. Heartless were still starting swarm though... and that could be bad, as the swarming of them usually also led to something that would slow both she and Ikari down. That couldn't be something that should have been allowed to happen at that point and time. They needed to find the King and assist him... wherever it was that he was at the moment.
[Riku]
"Hnh..." was all that escaped Riku's mouth as he was pushed backwards. Whatever this demonic, red koala was, it was definitely no pushover... however, it certainly seemed to make Riku look like one. That was something that slightly infuriated the silver-haired teen. His competitive ego had been dented... and by an animal. Heh... if it were the time or the place, Sora would definitely be making fun of him.
Quickly, Riku looked from where Sora was, to the castle doors and back. He was torn at what to do... inform Sora of the information, or just act on his own accord as he had done so many other times before? Well... there actually no reason that he couldn't do both... and he saw the truth in that.
Turning on his heel, Riku took a very brief moment to motion Sora to follow him and then said loudly enough for him to hear, "Sora! We can't allow that thing to get to Hikari or Kairi!" and at that, Riku had taken off into the castle, dodging Neo-Shadows and Knights that decided to come his way. There were those few times that Riku actually swung Way to the Dawn, or brought her up to defend himself. However... in the case of the castle... there was no doubt that he would have to.
He should have never agreed to allowing Hikari come with them... and should have told Kairi to stay back on the Islands so that he and Sora could handle things here. With him and Sora, how cared about the extra help that accompanied them? Riku did, that was for sure. If Hikari or Kairi, or even both were to get hurt, there would be something within him that would just be placing the blame on only himself for not stopping them from coming with him. Even though Kairi was the one that had notified them all of the events that were going on, that didn't stop her from going with them.
It kind of annoyed the teen at that point an time... and that spitfire of a girl, too!
[Ikari]
There was a slight drag that could be felt behind Ikari... and she knew it that perhaps it was because of her running too fast for the auburn-haired girl to keep up with. Ikari couldn't really help it but to slow her pace... but who would have wanted to do that with what all was going on at the moment? Not Ikari, that was for certain. Kairi was a friend... not only of hers, but of Riku and Sora's. What would she do if she let Kairi get hurt in what she saw to be her care?
The thing was that Ikari could also hear something running after them. Her mistake, however, was turning her head to look back to see what it was. Her eyes met with the black holes of eyes that seemed to make up the creature's face. Front the quick glance, she could see it... see just about everything she needed to know about the creature. It came from years of experience on her part and the fact that she would rather analyze her opponents than make the first move.
'A detective is something you'd be if you weren't taken under my wing...' were the words that echoed through Ikari's mind at that point and time. The image of a kind woman sitting on the couch with a large, brown leather-bound book in her lap. Looking at her... her eyes... her expression... all filled with the care and compassion a blood-related parent would have towards their own child.
Shaking her head some, Ikari quickly broke her thoughts away from that and started her calculations. The creature had six arms... that would undoubtedly increase it's speed while giving a chase. What else was there to analyze? It had gotten past Riku... that was another major thing... Ikari wasn't able to beat him in a spar... and if this creature has gotten past him, there was no doubt that he was strong, too.
Riku may not have looked it at first, but as observed by Ikari by first hand experience, she had seen the speed and strength that he was able to exalt.
Marluxia smiled as he took firm hold of Rook and dragged him away into the darkness. He turned to the King and said, "Consider this a game of hide and seek your Highness". An errie laugh escaped from Marluxia as he stepped into the portal that held his new pet. Marluxia knew that Mickey would try and give chase to get his little Key-Blader back. But just to make things interesting Marluxia gave a careless snap as the portal closed around him and Rook.
The Viper Nobodies dissapeared, but on ominous sound could be heard from the garden just behind the door. The plants and roots that decorated the beautiful garden of the King would now serve as a temporary weapon. The bushes began shakeing and the ground shook ever so slightly as the complicated root systems began to inch their way to the surface. People may not be in the garden to Marluxia's knowledge but at least more destruction would befall this once lovely palace.

As Mikael advanced towards Maleficent, many things happened simultaneously. King Mickey and Rook where fighting against Marluxia and where appearantly equally matched. But the Nobody had more important plans than helping Maleficent, so he kidnapped Rook and dissappeared in a dark portal, not before leaving a little surprise for the mouse and Mikael. The ground started shaking, but little did they knew that the people at the garden would soon find themselves fighting the beautiful plants which previously had served as ornaments for the great castle.
"I have a bad feeling about this..." the fire caster said as he stopped running, the ground shaking. It was a hard choice: he could eliminate the witch once and for all, or he could go out and see what was going on outside. The ground started to shake more violently, the roots about to come out to the surface. Mikael started running towards the door, grabbing King Mickey's hand to not let him alone against Maleficent.
"Your Majesty, something is wrong. Sorry, but we must get out of here. Now."
The red monster had just decided to run to another direction, so Randall became invisible to the eyes of the other people again. After a few seconds of thinking, the lizard decided to follow "Evil". He ran through the corridors, following the red thing while avoiding the fire launched by the dark thorns. After a while of running, he saw several people at the Courtyard: a silver haired boy, a red haired girl, and a black haired girl. All three wielded a weird kind of sword-key. Unknown to Randall, the three of them were weilders of the legendary Keyblade, the key.
"Mmm... that red thing seems to share my thoughts." the lizard said as he looked at the red experiment. He attacked the silver haired guy before going after the two girls (Kairi & Ikari). Another guy had appeared, and he weilded that key also. Why did such weird weapons existed? But before he could continue thinking, the ground started shaking; the plants moved. Roots started to come towards the surface, one grabbing Randall's leg. "AHHH!!! HELP?!" The lizard screamed as he was being pulled towards the source of the root; underground the castle.
((Meh, bad Randall muse. His fate appearantly is in Cranlon, Shiay and Toons' hands!))
*ninjas a post in* Refuse to be skipped again thanks to mono clearing up.
And, oi, watch the amount of OOC posts D<! *angryface*
"Sora!"
At the mention of his name, Sora's attention was brought back from wandering.
Riku always claimed how smart he was, believed that his way was the only way and that he was, more or less, always right. Sure, maybe more times than not he was more correct than Sora, though that didn't mean that he was going about doing whatever Riku said, that would downright stupid!
Right now was one of those times both of the boys knew what was correct and what the right thing to do was.
There was no chance Sora would risk putting his friends in danger just so that he could go about lollygagging and figuring out just what was going on. No one was going to stop and take the time to explain themselves using their words, that was clear (and it was always this way too, sadly); action was the course needing to be taken -- the one the brunet settled on.
Seeing Riku rush into the castle after the creature that had chased the girls, Sora began to start off. Tightening his hold on the handle of the blade, he ran, each step being driven and supported by the determination of helping others that the boy possessed. However, the girls were not the only things that were needing help at this moment it seemed.
"Help!"
Sora shot his head over at the sound, seeing a purple... lizard? being dragged towards the ground. The roots in the garden were acting up... all of the plants were as a matter of fact. Something wasn't right... something was going on. He had to help this lizard out, even if Sora had never have met him before it was someone in need and calling for help. He couldn't bring himself to ignore someone's cry like that, it was something about him, that certain "hero's instinct" he had (even if Phil doubted it at times).
Turning to the distancing Riku, he bit his lip, yelling out, "I'll catch up!"
Taking a slight detour, Sora sprinted over to the lizard quickly, slashing his blade much like that of a machete at any 'possessed foliage' trying to slow him down. As he neared, he held out the keyblade to the base of the root as to avoid any harm to the stranger himself.
"Fire!" He shouted, casting a second level fire spell at the root, hoping it would have the normal effect that fire had on most plants it touched.

[Apologies for missing IIC. Throwing a post for Maleficent in here now]
It seemed that those who were in the castle's audiance chamber were now leaving due to a shake up that Marluxia apparently caused. Malficent continued to stand there, watching as people left one by one. This was certainly getting interesting. Now to see how things turned out as more thorny vines spread throughout the castle. It seemed this take over would happen soon enough. Disney Castle was soon going to be under Maleficent's command.
((I will wait a day to post since appearantly Marluxia and Rook are returning to this thread. Also, I need King Mickey's post so I can reply as Mikael, I do not want to powerplay.))
The King watched in horror as one of his keyblade wielders was dragged away into the darkness by the pink-haired Nobody. He gathered his strength to give chase, but as soon as he began to sprint, the portal closed and Mickey ran through nothing but thin air. "NO!" he shouted with anger into the throne room. His word echoed off the walls and rang through his ears. He had failed...
Just as Mickey was about to turn and fight the witch who still 'claimed' his castle, he felt his hand being grabbed by another. He did not know this human personally, or the reason why he was leading Mickey away, but he shook his hand loose and took a step back. "No! I'm not leaving! I'm not loosing my world to this witch!" And with those words, he stopped. The ground beneath him was trembling and he could feel the castle shaking from Marluxia's power. Mickey looked around the room, helplessness flooding over him. Where was Sora, Riku and Kairi? Had they not followed him here? Feeling defeated, Mickey took the hand of Mikael and opened a portal.
The king refused to leave his castle, he wanted to fight for it, even if his life was lost. Mikael admired his courage, but he believed in "living to fight another day". Sir, if we don't go now, we might not live another day. Believe me or not, I also want to fight that old woman." The ground was still shaking, each moment with more violence.
The King appearantly found meaning in the fire user's words as he created a dark portal and dragged Mikael along. It felt... weird, empty, cold. The teenager didn't felt that when he arrived at the castle through a similar portal, and he wondered why. Suddenly, both of them appeared in what looked like a garden. Yeah, it "looked", past tense. The plants appearantly had received "the gift of life" and were hostile. Mikael noticed that they were not alone.
It seemed that the end was near for the lizard... Randall Boggs's book would be closed, without having revenge on his rival: Sullivan. Fortunately for the monster, someone had taken pity on him: one of the boys that weilded a key had casted a fire spell on the root of the plant, which freed Boggs.
"Thank you!" he exclaimed, he was about to run and hug his savior when a dark portal appeared before his eyes. A small mouse came out of it; he appeared to be able to wield the key as well. He was followed by a young black haired teenager who looked tough as well.
"So you must be part of the ones Maleficent was about to fight!" The lizard said looking at the newcomers, his usual cocky smile returning to his face.
Indeed, they were not alone. Mikael could see a brunet boy who wielded a weapon similar to King Mickey's and Rook's and a weird... purple lizard? He didn't pay much attention to him until he heard him speaking about a woman... the witch! The fire user turned towards the King, thinking of the posible options.
"You decide, we could kill the lizard right now, we could keep him and offer him to the witch as an exchange for the castle, or I could stun him with a fireball, starve him for two or three days, and when he is open for suggestion I could get information out of him." It was unlikely that the King would choose the last option, but who knows? Royalty had been acting weirdly lately.
"Just try little boy, I can easily defeat you with my hands tied at my back." he told him, losing his patience. Indeed, the boy looked like a tough opponent, but Randall was confident that if the fire user accepted his challenge, he would defeat him easily. Wrong.
The trembling had gotten worse. The entire ground seemed like an earthquake. The cindered body that had been Maverick slowly came back to reality.
He shook his head slightly and opened his eyes slowly. He looked around and thought it was strange that the world was shaking.
"Wha-what?!" Maverick said weakly as he barely got to his feet. His body was still weak from the fire that burned him, no way he would be able to fight now..unless he..NO!.
"No!, I will never use THAT power. Not again." Maverick said as he scanned his surroundings and saw that he was at the main entrance door. That witch all the way back at the throne.
Maverick clenched his teeth at the sight of her, but only hung his head. With his body in its current condition he would be killed for sure. But wait....where was everyone else?
"No way she could have killed them all. Maybe---" His words were cut short as a root flew out of the ground below him. He quickly jumped out of the way but fell to his knees because of the pain of doing that.
"Something must be going on in the garden..." Maverick said as he used some reserve strength to open up a dark portal to the castle. The darkness surrounded him just as he saw that Nobody come out of a portal himself.
(Garden)
The portal opened up beside Mickey and Maverick came limping out. He quickly looked around to see who was here. Mickey, that other kid, a lizard, and....SORA!!!
"So-Sora?!. What are you doing here?" Though his faced was burned a shocked expression was written all over it. He looked down at the King and said as an apology.
"Sorry your Majesty, I can't continue to fight in my condition. I'd only be a bother to deal with" --------------------
Marluxia --------------
A usual portal of darkness opened up beside Maleficent and XI of the Organization walked out of it. He noticed the place was empty of all humans and mouse alike, he particularly liked the fact that his "Garden of Death" was still running wild. He turned to the witch and said.
"I hope you weren't too much of a bother in my absence Maleficent? I think now would be the most opportune time to finish the job. With my new apprentice of course..." the Assassin let out a small chuckle as he saw Rook walk out as well.
"Say hello to your new ally Rook" XI said as he a slight twitch of his wrist and the Garden outside went even more berserk.
Rook stepped out from the dark portal, his head hung. He didn't want to be doing this, but at the moment he didn't have a choice. He might be able to run now that he was healed of his wounds, but that would leave Namine's fate hanging in the balance, and that was not something he could afford to have on his conscience. As part of Kairi, he'd have to keep her safe, as well...
Which reminded him. Had she and her friends heeded the King's call for help as he intended? He hadn't seen them yet and Rook and the King were the only two wielders he had noted so far. Probably better she hadn't come. Seeing what he was reduced to now, a lackey for a man who didn't even have a Heart for the sake of saving another without a Heart...
Well, unless Marluxia was truly going to take his memories like he said, Rook saw no reason in following his orders to a T. If he could stray far enough from his "master's" hand, perhaps he could find a way to...
He was thinking too much. A stall in his actions now would only threaten to work against him. He summoned his Keyblade, looked around, then up at Marluxia.
"Your orders?" He ignored to slack introduction to his new "ally" in favor of attempting to get away from the Nobody's side. It almost pained him to be so close.
