In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Nice to see that the 'ladies first' thing seems to be being played out ; D
The sun beat down upon the Colosseum and the fire user had made her way out into the ring, her trusty blade, Dragon's Flame, tightly in her grasp. Whoever said a girl wasn't good enough for these types of things had another thing coming... especially when taking Ikari's strong points into considerations... however... that was neither here nor there at the moment, for she had her opponent to be looking forward to. This event wasn't like the Radiant Garden Bash, no... this wasn't virtual.... If she got hurt, she got hurt, there was no getting out of it and coming out good as new when returning back out of the 'game'.
She'd have to be careful... there was no 'maybe' of that fact... it was definite and there was no telling who or even what her opponent would be for this event. That just made it all the more exciting, to be perfectly honest. It was that sense of unknowing thrill that she stepped into once she had signed the consent for entering the... cup... thing... what was it called again? Hats cup? ... No, no... that wasn't it.... Herald cup? Haters cup! No.... H... H... it started with an 'H'.... Well... whatever.
Giving the blade another twirl in her hand before sheathing it, Ikari clenched a fist and muttered, "any damn day now..."

"What am I doing here, what am I doing here, what am I doing here..." Rubix kept repeating to himself. Rubix decided to sign up for this tournament because Mikael said it would be a good idea to see what other fighters are like in different worlds so Rubix could get a better idea of fighting. Rubix was not that great of a fighter, but it was worth a shot. Besides this was all for fun right? This Hades guy didn't seem all that bad, he had never even heard of him. This whole environment just seemed like it was for show, that it was all a game to Rubix.
He was standing below the ring, pacing back and forth, wondering when his opponent would show up. What if it was some big gnarly creature that Rubix had no chance against? He would surely be in trouble then. Or maybe it could be something or someone easy, because, after all, it was only the first round. Rubix was nervous to say the least, but he knew he had to shake off his fears. This was more of a learning experience than anything.
Rubix poked his head up at the ring and saw a girl standing there and his heart started beating fast, it was his opponent. "AH!" he yelled before climbing up into the ring, "I didn't see you come in or show up or anything, forgive me!" He finally made his way up to the ring and took and deep breath and let it out and gave his opponent a smirk. "Well, my name is Rubix, let's have some fun, eh?"
Rubix then saw that the girl had a sword in her sheath. Oh no...I don't even have a weapon....What am I doing here, what am I doing here, WHAT AM I DOING HERE?!
Talk about not really giving a convincing first impression. The fire user had to look over to Hades and arch a brow. Was this for real? Her opponent didn't look all that... in fact, he looked relatively easy to outmaneuver and defeat. Killing wasn't her style... not unless things that were being defeated were Heartless or Nobodies... this, on the other hand, she'd leave her opponent pretty beaten up... but she would never kill them.
She folded her arms over her chest and turned her gaze back to this 'Rubix' person, giving a relatively unamused, skeptical look and then sort of introduced herself in return to him... it was a common courtesy thing that she lived by, "yeah, yeah... pleasure... really.... The name's Ikari, not like that really matters."
Standing there, Ikari decided to keep an eye on this 'Rubix' and then slowly started to walk to her left, circling him. She wasn't convinced that he was going to be a very fun opponent to be up against... in fact... she was more than certain that this match was going to be over in a matter of seconds once she actually had a reason to end it. Then again... there was the hope that this guy could actually make a... no, no, not just 'a' -- the wise decision and just forfeit.
"...Begin, or whatever. Kill each other or something." Rubix heard the voice said.
"Kill?!" Rubix said a little startled. As the girl started to circle Rubix, he started to panic. He was not ready to die, especially in a tournament that actually had no practical value. What did I get myself into?! Did Mikael know about this?! As she continued to circle Rubix, he kept an eye on her, he tried to stay as calm as possible It seemed that this turned into a matter of life or death...Gotta stay focused
After watching the girl for a few seconds he started to walk circles with Ikari, sizing her up to the best of Rubix's abilities. She seemed stealthy and quick, and with a sword it's probably deadly. In turn he decided to focus energy in his hand, ready to do whatever he needed to do in the fight. Improvising seemed to be Rubix's forte, so thinking quickly on his feet may give him the advantage in this fight. Well, as much of an advantage without a weapon that is.
She heard it... she heard that panic in his voice when he had said the single word, 'kill'. That was all she needed to be making her decision. Often, Ikari wasn't the one to make foul play at all, but there were hardly any rules to this tournament... that was already pretty much proven by the fact that people could actually kill one another in this 'game'. As the fire-user mulled over this in her head, she saw that the person that she was up against started to follow her circling and she just smirked in amusement.
Boys, boys, boys... did they have to try to act so tough all the damned time? It was rather annoying to see them put up somewhat of a brave front, especially when one could easily see through them. A sigh escaped her lips, and without the use of a haste spell, darted towards her opponent at full speed, appearing before him in a matter of three to five seconds. She was fast and she prided herself on that. Thanks to special training when she was younger, she was able to move at speeds without the use of those sill Haste spells that magic users seemed to take a liking to.
She had her hand laid out flat, palm facing down and only an inch away from his neck as she had darted towards him. Giving another slight sigh, Ikari just said to the person, "listen, kid..." the 'kid' part was just something out of habit, "I can already see it that you don't want to fight, and this tournament isn't something to be trifled with. Forfeit now. I'm not going to kill you, and I'm not going to forfeit only to have you die later."
Her speed is fair game .D. She relies more of physical attributes than she does magic. It's stated in her profile .D.;; Just in case I'm going to be called on that.[/size]

When the Ikari shot towards Rubix he laid his palm out facing his opponent as fast as he could, but only enough time for her to stop her strike an inch away from his neck. His palm laid only inches away from her stomach.
"listen, kid..."
There was a ringing noise in Rubix's ears when the word "kid" was spoken. Kid...Kid?! Rubix never took being talked down to lightly. One of his pet peeves it to be talked down to, actually. Normally he would just be annoyed and just walk away, but this time there was a lot on the line. He was in a fight, a battle, and even his life was on the line. The ringing went away soon and Rubix heard the rest of Ikari's speech.
"Alright," Rubix said looking down at her palm, close to his neck, "I can't die," Rubix said, but really meant that he 'won't' die. Looking into her eyes Rubix finally decided that he was going to do this. This is the type of things he would have to be doing in the future, right? With or without a weapon. This had to be done and one point of his life. Why not now? This is where it begins, and Rubix already feels threatened.
Suddenly a rush of energy surged out his palm inches away from Ikari's stomach, releasing an invisible pure energy blast to her torso. With his other hand pointing down, he released a second wave on the ground, shooting himself in the air backwards and landing on his feet. Wow..this is cool...
Rubix saw that the ring was cracked from when he sent his wave down in the ground. That gave him an idea since he had no weapon, use the ring to his advantage...literally. He pointed his palms fat on the ground and anchored himself with his feet. Smaller blasts of energy came out of his palms about four times, one after the other like small gun shots, to crumble those parts of the ring. Within the newly bashed in craters were small rocks, regular sized rocks, and bigger rocks.
Rubix already felt a bit tired, he had never used his powers in this manner. After taking a deep breath he felt better, but he knew he wouldn't have time to take a breath within the battle. Before he could even think about what Ikari might be doing for her next attack, he rose his hands levitating one big rock on either side of him along with small rocks all around.Who knew that using your mind would be this tiring?
"Come on!" Rubix said out of no where to Ikari. He was ready to fight for the first time.
((Might be a bit too much, but I hate seeing "boring". So I'm going to try and make something worth reading. Hahaha))

Pushed back... that's what she was... pushed back and skidding across part of the arena. Tch... she liked these shoes, too, it was going to be a hassle to find some to replace these ones since the soles were getting worn down. Giving a huff, Ikari looked up and saw the arena starting to... break apart, what? They hovered around and the fire-user clenched both her jaw and a fist while giving a hiss, "son of a-- I gave that kid a chance to back out...."
"Come on!"
"Right, you really want to see what I can do? Fine." Ikari remarked, agitated by what was going on. Lighting started to crackle around her and some ricocheted off the ground she stood upon and other crackles got attracted to the formations that hovered over her. Heh... try as one might, but since the arena most likely contained metal alloys in it, there was no doubt that her Thunder casts, weak as they were, would get attracted to the rocks around. They would at least provide a good distraction.
"I'll give you another chance to back out of this, kid..." Ikari shouted out, looking around for where her opponent had gone while both examining the field and keeping her magic at a tolerable level for her to manage, since it wasn't her specialty of fire. She reached up and unsheathed Dragon's Flame once again, twirling the blade by the hilt and preparing herself for anything.
What did she have on her side? Speed... speed, strength and the ability to improvise on a whim. This was going to help her in the long run, and she may as well exert some of that once she was able to analyze what it was that was going on.

Through the small rocks hovering around him, he heard cackles coming from Ikari. She was in clear sight of Rubix as she said the one thing that snapped Rubix "I'll give you another chance to back out of this, kid..." as she unsheathed her sword. For some reason this got to Rubix so badly that the only reason why he wanted to win was to prove to himself and others that she's not just a kid, he can be something else.
"I'm," Rubix whispered to himself and parted his hands to move the levitated rocks out of the way so he could look into Ikari's eyes. The same rage was bestowed upon him when he realized he couldn't fight, when the bully at school tried to fight Rubix, and when the Heartless was attacking Will Turner. "I'm NOT A KID!"
Rubix thrust his arm right hand forward which, in turn, shot a big rock toward Ikari. Rubix found that staying in one place was not the best idea, so he started to walk quickly around to keep on his feet. Rubix knew she was fast, so he rose his right hand once more to lift even more small rocks around the cracked arena. With a swift move, he quickly moved his hand from left to right, spreading out all the small rocks around the arena. That ought to slow her down...Hopefully

Watching as the rocks parted, Ikari saw a face... her opponent's face... and, heh, he looked fairly disgruntled to say the least. She gripped the hilt of Dragon's Flame tighter and saw the rocks move slightly. Whatever her peer was doing, it was taking up mana... and perhaps... just perhaps, if she could hold her own, she could wear him down and get him defeated. Ikari had only lucked out in getting an actual match to ensue by calling him a 'kid'... However, some other opponents may not be so willing as she was to allow him a chance to be getting out of the mess that he had signed up for.
"I'm NOT A KID!"
Boulders hurdled towards her, and her peripheral vision caught movement on the ground. So much for darting to the side to escape the rock. Bracing herself, Ikari jumped up as the rock neared her and grabbed a firm hold of it, hoisting herself on top as it continued backwards and dragged her down somewhat as she was fighting the initial push of the boulder. Her hair whipped forwards as she continued to ride it backwards and then jumped forwards, back into the arena.
This anger that the kid exerted was a good thing. Means he'd be more focused on what's angering him than actually getting something to attack her more efficiently. Heh... Whatever then.... Clicking the blade against the ground for a moment, Ikari decided to up the levels a bit and in a shimmer of light, Temporal Flame was in her left hand grasp. It felt... odd, to say the least... the fact that she was now apparently a Keybearer and the fact that she now had to dual wield both the scimitar and the Keyblade (not that she couldn't... it's just more or less of a new thing to her).
A rush of power, much like flames licking angrily at the sky, started to envelope her being, swirls of flames starting to form around both blades. Thanks to both of the blades' abilities, Hikari's fire power would be getting a spike, which also meant that she would be able to produce a Firaja with no sweat. Was she going to be expelling all that she's got, though? No way... not at all.... Again... killing wasn't her style, and to just end this with Flame's End would have been overkill to the max.
No, instead she would at least turn up the heat of the Underdome a bit. Smirking to herself, flames, started to lick the ground around her and spread out, quickly starting to make the area around blazing with fire that Ikari was exerting with her own magical abilities. Luckily enough for her, once the flames were out, she could stop focusing her mana and preserve both her stamina and focus.

When the boulder made contact with her, Rubix's smirked, but the smirk slowly went away when Ikari jumped out of the boulders way, back into the ring. It seemed as though that whatever Rubix were to do, there was a counter to it. All that meant is that it should be the same way with Ikari, if she made an attack, there is a way for Rubix to counter it.
As the girl unsheathed her weapon, Rubix found a time to rest for a bit. Resting in a fight isn't the best idea, but Rubix didn't know and he would take any resting point possible. In her right hand she held a scimitar, but her left hand went from empty to holding a sort of large key. I'm going to be fought with a key?
Suddenly there was a rush of fire that came out of Rubix's opponent that first swept only her area, but then spread out quickly towards Rubix; it was engulfing the entire arena. Rubix quickly dropped the levitating boulder in his left hand and pointed his palm to the ground with his right and surged up to the to air to dodge the flames. From up in the air all he could see was his opponent and fire. How can this even happen?!
In midair Rubix spotted the boulder that he just laid down and landed on it, safe from being entirely in the fire. "Wow, well that was pretty cool!" Rubix said enthusiastically and even truthfully. Never in his life has he ever seen a person engulf a whole area with fire. Sure, Rubix was terrified of being burned to death, but none the less it was quite an experience.
A whisper then fell into his ear, but no one was around saying Pure rage, I think, could be a good weapon! Just make sure that your hearts in it, and you can't lose! It must have been a memory that decided to come out at the right moment, the memory of Braig saying those words took control of his mind and cleared it out. "I gotta put my heart into it..." Rubix whispered.
He smirked at his opponent, "Now, enough playing around, we're here to fight right? So," Rubix took a deep breath and already felt refreshed and in tune with his body and mind, "Let's do this!" And with that he jumped to the nearby pillar, landed on it for split second, pointed his palms toward the surface of the pillar, making a gun shot noise and shot him towards Ikari. He then laid his left palm facing Ikari sending another energy push toward her with his right hand, pulled back, clenched into a fist ready to strike her on collision.
