In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Her grip on Two Paths tightened and just when she was about to deflect the swing of the blade to her, the Feir earring that dangled from her ear reacted a little more violent, sending an odd surge through Ikari and she looked down to where the blade was supposed to have struck her. She was actually rather surprised; for the split second that she had looked down, she saw that Dragon's Flame was staying suspended as if it were already up against something.
Again, another odd sensation surged through Ikari's being and pushed her attacker back. She looked down to Two Paths and then to Rubix. Hikari tilted her head in confusion. Her own blade wasn't able to hit her? Why was that?
Dismissing the Keyblade, Ikari looked to Dragon's Flame, wondering how it was that it wasn't able to hit her. No one had taken her own bla-- that wasn't true, actually; there was a time in the Great Maw when someone took it and teleported it elsewhere... luckily for the fire-user, she was able to find it once again. However... be that the case... no one had ever used her own blade against her.
Hm...
Clenching her fists, Ikari took another stance and smirked. She would go at this without the aid of a weapon now... besides, looks like her opponent was getting worn down. That was good... She still didn't want to re responsible later on for allowing him to get killed later on in the tournament. Though... it seemed her cocky attitude was started to show as she decided to use her fists for combat.
"C'mon... just forfeit already... jeeze, can't you see I'm trying to do you a damned favour?" Ikari said, both still irritated and a little pleading (a very, very subtle pleading).

Just as Rubix was about to strike, the blade felt like it his a wall and couldn't be moved. He tried to move it back and forth, but it was no use, it seemed like it was stuck in the air. When Ikari dismissed her key weapon, Rubix let go of the blade and it fell to the ground. When it hit the ground Rubix kicked it over to the side so she couldn't have more than one weapon on her side. Though it seemed like she didn't want to use a weapon when she got into an attack stance; she wanted a hand to hand combat.
"C'mon... just forfeit already... jeeze, can't you see I'm trying to do you a damned favour?" Ikari said.
Rubix was giving out small pants of exhaustion, "No," he smirked, breathing a little heavy, "You do me a favor and keep fighting. I have never forfeit in anything that I have done and I won't start now. I'm a stubborn teenage boy, you know," he chuckled, "You will have to get me to pass out for this match to end." Even after all of the cuts, gashes, burns, and exhaustion, Rubix focused the last bit of his energy into the palms of his hands. This is it "And if I do pass out, I just wanted to say thank you," he nodded his head and smiled.
Never in his life had he ever experienced a fight with a real fighter, magic user, or girl. This had to have been one of the most intense thing he had ever been apart of. And he survived longer than a couple seconds by being plain lucky! Rubix had a hunch that this was not going to fly if he made it into the next round, but he didn't really want it to keep him back from trying to win this match that was in front of him.
Never done this before... Instead of doing the initial surge push, he decided to try a different, but last, tactic. He pointed the palm of his hand toward Ikari, but instead of pushing, he clenched his hands together in a fist and attempted to hold her with the manipulated energy. His plan was to make her body motionless, making it feel like she couldn't move, wrapped in a tight blanket of energy.

"No, you do me a favor and keep fighting. I have never forfeit in anything that I have done and I won't start now. I'm a stubborn teenage boy, you know..."
"Nah, really? I really didn't take notice of that... at all" Ikari said under her breath, sarcasm dripping from every word that escaped her lips. As she finished her sentence, she clenched her fists a little more tightly... if he wasn't going to forfeit, she had not other choices but to go all out or forfeit herself... and the latter was just not going to happen. It wasn't who Ikari was.. it wasn't how she grew up to be. Hikari was female, and so being so, she was looked down upon by boys all the time back when she was in school in Twilight Town.... She was going to prove herself to the boys... she wasn't a weakling and just because she was female didn't mean she couldn't do what guys could.
"You will have to get me to pass out for this match to end."
Right... so... looks like the first option that sprung to mind was the only thing that Ikari was really going to go out and do. Fine...
"And if I do pass out, I just wanted to say thank you."
The female fire-user arced a brow to him though refused to waver. The experienced fighter within her being said to not back down, not drop her guard and keep on her toes at all times. After all... the opponent could be very well be planning something, and if they saw that initial waver, they could use that opportunity to get a well aimed strike to the person or thing that they were attacking.
She saw Rubix's hand raise with it's palm facing outwards and Ikari immediately reacted, her own palm facing out towards him with the beginnings of her Fire Bolt cast starting to swirl around her palm and fingertips and that's when she felt it. A tight force of energy wrapped around her being, refusing to allow movement. Her palm still remained facing outwards, the flames starting to become more violent. As the fire user continued to feel the invisible entity around her, she focused her mana into her palm still yet and then redirected some of the mana flow to the back of her throat.
Fire Bolt wasn't going to be enough most likely, since she was now semi-immobile. The Dragon's Breath technique that she had slowly come to teach herself would come in rather handy at this point and time. It was a powerful spell... and if she remained bound like she currently was, she would unleash it.

When Rubix saw that she too lifted her hand, he took a couple steps back until he felt something different. He felt Ikari's body in the palm of his hand, he was holding her still and steady. Although his plan worked, he could already feel bits of his falling out of his grasps. Rubix quickly held as tight as he could, finally ready to set his new plan in action.
Raising his shaking hand slowly, sweat dripped from his forehead, Ikari rose from the ground. Excitement rushed toward Rubix's heart that his plan was starting to come together. Although, as much as it was working out, Rubix was having a very hard time. Although he was lifting her off the ground, it seemed as though it was lifting her own body weight, except with his mind which was still difficult. His breathing was getting heavier as the intensity of the focus started to wear on not only his body, but his mind.
I only have enough to do these last things...if it doesn't work out...it's over
Rubix took a deep breath and thrust the hand he was controlling Ikari with violently toward a pillar, smashing her body against the stony poll. Rubix's breathing was even harder, even letting out small cries of exhaustion. He then swung his arm again, shooting her away from the pillar only to shoot her body back to the pillar for a second time. Rubix then levitated a piece of boulder from the other fallen pillar with his other hand, which barely was off the ground. Rubix's whole body was shaking.
But if you put your heart into it, you can't lose dude! Braig's voice rung in Rubix's ear. For being a Heartless, his words really did make Rubix think a lot of what a the power of a heart can do. Now was the only time to prove it, win or lose, he knew that he put his heart into the match to keep him going for as long as he did against his very well trained opponent.
Letting out a yell Rubix thrust his arm toward the floating Ikari and sent a boulder straight for her body. It made contact, but not as much as it was supposed to on the count that Rubix let go of Ikari a split second before the boulder hit her. After being hit by the boulder, Ikari fell to the ground safe from the blanket of energy Rubix bestowed upon her. Rubix went down on one knee breathing heavy with his heart pounding. He was exhausted and was now useless in the fight.
