In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

As his swing of the nunchuck was dodged he knew another attack was gunna come soon. By now Jawn knew he didn't pick a pushover and this wasn't going to be the pratice he thought it'd be. He smirked at the thought of meeting an opponent that would give him this much of a challenge but he didn't have much time to think about it. He saw the left hand of his opponent grab his sword and knew he was now wide open for another attack.
Instead of swing at the hand once again he wrapped the nunchuck chain around the handle of the blade with a quick swing and pulled himself closer to cloud as he jumped back. Right in the air on another lunge right at Cloud and noticed that he was going to do a spell. About to hit it with his own spell of lightning he didn't get it in time and got hit direct on the chest and shot back.
He lay on the ground and slowly got up laughing, "Your telling me that getting through that blade was ruined by a beginners spell?!?!?!" he said with suprise and histerical laughter.
He put his staff back away, back in staff form of course, and grabbed his blades once more getting ready for a fast action, "Your turn" he said in a fighting stance with a mischevious smile on his face.
Cloud's opponent, Jawn, now waited for Cloud to make a move. He stood for a second, just staring at his opponent. Jawn was wielding two blades. It was only fair that cloud did the same....
Lifting his weapon up with his right hand, Cloud held it before him and grabbed the front blade at the handle. You see, the First Tsuguri is actually six swords compilled into one. But this time, Cloud wanted another. He grapped the handle of the front blade and detatched it from the base swords hilt. And with little resistance, he pulled it from the massive weapon and tearing through the banadages that were wrapped around it.
Cloud now held the largest sword, the First Tsuguri, in his right hand and the smaller one, known alone as Vendetta, iin his left. And now, he was ready to engage his opponent once again.
All of a sudden, he dashed forward straight for Jawn. He crossed his left arm over his body as he sped forward and swung one sword after the other from his left to right. Vendetta first for a horizontal head shot, with the First Tsuguri shortly following aimed lower - heading for the side of Jawn's theigh...
Jawn hadn't expected what had happened at this time. He thought his opponent would be struggling with a sword like that. And he was proven wrong by the way he handled it. He thought manuevering it would be harder, now he was proven wrong by how he is now using two swords. He had most deffinitely not expected him to go on a full assault. His opponent was full of suprises.
Jawn knew he was going to swing by the way he was holding the swords, and he knew it wasn't going to be a vertical swing. When the first one came at his head he did a back bend in order to dodge it. But than the second one came and he didn't have enough time to get his balance back in order to dodge. Instead of trying to step back and falling down, he went into his backbend and did a backflip away from his opponent.
Once he had dodged both strikes miraculously, he had to retaliate, and he had to do it faster than his opponent could. The second he landed he jumped back forward with his swords out and at the ready. Landing his jump directly in front of his opponent inbetween his blade, it would make it extremely hard for Jawn to be hit unless Cloud dropped his blades or decided to stab himself. Jawn was in a safe zone, but it would only last a couple of seconds.
He swung his blade the other way in one hand and dropped it in the other. Grabbing Cloud's shoulder with his empty hand he'd attempt to pull him down, throw his knee up to hit his gut, and stab down with his other hand. All simultaniously. Jawn didn't ussually get this close with this much of a frontal attack. Too risky. If one part of his attack failed it would've all failed, but for this opponent he would have to take risks.
As soon as Jawn reached out to grab his shoulder, Cloud was tempted react to this. Yet, it was too risky to try and evade everything tha was coming at him. He wasn't exactly sure what he was planning when Jawn grabbed him, but he definately knew that the worst thing would to be struck by his sword. So, with his left foot, Cloud kicked at the handle of the weapon (and possibly his foe's hand) so that he was incapable slashing or stabbing him.
And that was when Cloud found out what the grab was about; he was pulled down and took the full force of a thrusted knee to the gut. He stumbled back with some deep breaths, it didn't hurt too bad, it just winded him making it hard to breathe. He took a second to recompose himself as he took a few steps back away from his opponent.
"Hm... Not bad..."
The blond had finished his warm up - it was now time to show Jawn how a true warrior fights. Swordsmanship wasn't all Cloud had. He thought he's mix it up with a spell or two. With the space between them, Cloud took this chance to exchange his off-hand weapon. He fixed Vendetta back onto the main blade and replaced it with one of dagger-like weapons from beside the First Tsuguri's main blade.
Now ready, Cloud made another charge. Though, this time, it was more planned and strategic. He dashed forward running directly for Jawn, but as soon as he got close, the combatant tossed the dagger for his chest. He didn't expect it to strike him - it was only a quick distraction as Cloud leaped up. Whilst in the air, he performed an aerial flip keeping his legs fairly straight and turning one hundred and eighty degrees. But, during the time at which he was upside down above Jawn, Cloud opened his free hand as spread of flamesspread from his palm. Hopefully this fire would rain down on his foe. And just to be certain that this would be a nasty move for Jawn, Cloud swung his massive blade horizontally with a crouched landing...
Jawn had succeeded in two parts but the fatal part had failed. Either way he had managed to get a hit, which was actually more than he thought he would. When his blade was knocked out of his hand Jawn saw it coming and let go of it to keep his hand from getting hurt. Since there was now nother holding the weapon back down it flew into the air. As Cloud had backed up Jawn had managed to jump back quick enough and catch it. He had landed a hit, he didn't get hurt and he still had all his weapons. So far this match was looking good.
As cloud tampered with his sword Jawn started thinking of anotheer strategy. He could keep blocking and using evasive maneuvers to tire him out, with that blade it would go fast, but it would be hard. He could pull out his staff and keep using it to block everything, but it was wood so it might not work so well. Jawn was at a loss at his strategy. He couldn't think of what to do next. While he was thinking his opponent started charging. He got up close so Jawn had his gaurd up, than he threw the dagger, which the gaurd managed to block.
As Cloud jumped he would have no control to dodge anything, so now would be the perfect time to demobolize him. Jawn rarely used his magic, he never seemed to need it. But in this fight he would, so right when cloud was over him he shot up Blizzard. It was a low level attack but it would be enough to make it hard to move. Yet to his luck his opponent had used Fire. Maybe it was Jawn blacking the fire, maybe it was Cloud blocking the blizzard, either way they were almost simultanious and canceled eachother out.
Jawn had put his gaurd down to use that magic so he was wide open for another attack, which he had expected. Without the attack even coming he dodge rolled from the area, getting far away from where cloud was headed. Maybe another weapon would be nice to have in a fight, can never have too much right? As he rolled over it he picked up Cloud's dagger, one less for Cloud, one more for Jawn. He held this one in the same hand as one of his swords. Since he rolled out of the way he managed to dodge the blade that Cloud had swung.
Right when his opponent swung that attack he threw down a smokebomb. He had ussually done this to block of sight since he could smell darkness and light. Than he realized that Cloud's scent never really stuck out. He had just made them both blind, and for all Jawn knew, maybe cloud could see. But there arena was covered in smoke, and for once Jawn had no idea where his opponeent was
It was amazing to see how quick Jawn counter-acted Cloud's Fire spell. Was he really that quick? surely not. It must have just been some sort of crazy coincidence. Perhaps next time he wouldn't be so lucky.
Cloud's thoughts quickly snapped back to the present rather than thinking ahead for new spell casting tactics when the arena went up in smoke. He rapidly covered his mouth to stop himself from inhaling the stuff or coughing. He didn't want to give away his position because there was always the chance that he could make this backfire on his opponent if Jawn didn't know where he was already...
Suddenly an idea popped into Cloud's head. Another spell would be needed for his new plan. And this one was almost guaranteed to work. Jawn would have absolutely no idea what was going on until it was too late. Cloud quickly raised his arm with an open left hand, and with it, multiple large spike of ice rose from the ground and interlocked with one another. Usually for this Ice 3 (or Bilzzaga) spell, these spikes would be aimed at a target, but obviously Cloud didn't know where his foe was. So, instead, it was just a little ahead of him. Maybe it was close to Jawn, maybe it wasn't, but it wouldn't matter...
With the huge collection of ice prepared, Cloud slammed his blade into the ground and got behind its gigantic blade. Suddenly, the ice shattered and sent razor sharp shards of ice flying in all directions like a great big frosty grenade. Tucked away behind his massive sword, Cloud was fully protected. But Jawn on the other hand, was out in the open, blinded by smoke and having no idea what was happening...
Jawn knew he made a mistake with the smoke, there's no way he could fight without being able to see. Since he couldn't see anyway he closed his eyes in order to use his other senses better. He could feel slight crisp air, he could feel a little bit of cold, and it wasn't far from him. Since he had just used blizzard it didn't take long for him to figure out what it was. But his opponent wouldnn't be able to see him well enough to hit him with it. Meaning something was coming, and it involved Ice. That was all he needed to know when he heard a slam and shattering. Relflexively, since he knew what was coming, he used Fire to melt any ice coming his way. By the time the fire died it was almost over, but there were still some. Being splashed with water from melted ice distracted him asa the next thing came.
He went flying backwards as he was pelted with three large chunks of ice. Getting up he was sore and had some pretty cold spots, not to mention covered in water from the melted ice. getting up slightly shivering he realized he dropped the three weapons in his hand. He could use this setback to his advantage just as Cloud did with the smoke. Taking out his spear once more he came charging. As he ran he kicked all three weapons right at Cloud, based on where he heard the slam into the ground, he kept the area in mind. from different angles. They were going at high speeds from different directions, and not to mention they were brutal weapons and he still had one in his hand. He was deffinitely going to land another hit, and this one would be brutal.
Once he kicked the last one he lunged right toward the general location of the noise because it was his best guess at where cloud was. and with soft steps so it'd be harder to hear. He sweeped his staff right above the ground so the only way to know it was there would be to feel the sting and fall of the hit or the feel the air coming. He had used the weapons he dropped as a distraction, even though one or two were very likely to hit in this non visibility. And since the staff was hard to notice and it'd be hard to tell where it was coming from. It would knock him off his feet.
All this being a guess as to where Cloud was based on the noise he heard, he knew that this was pretty much a twenty five percent chance of success. But it's better than his chance of actually winning this fight anyway. Either way, if cloud didn't move and didn't move fast, he would lying on the ground wide open.
Hearing all orts of sounds coming from Jawn, like the sound of weapons. They were hitting the floor as Jawn dropped them, but the blond didn't know that for sure. So, he did the sensible thing and kept behind his sword. One of the blades that his foes kicked came his way, but obviously, it just smacked the First Tsuguri with a tinging sound. Even then, Jawn wouldn't know that Cloud's weapon was in the floor nd being used as a full body shield.
The blond continued to wait there and was planning on doing until he knew exactly where his opponent was. And it wasn't long before that happened. As his foe's sweeping attack was made, that too just smacked into Cloud's large blade. And that quite clearly gave away his position - he knew that Jawn was within striking range of his sword.
Taking off the other dagger weapon from his main blade, Cloud the gripped the handle of the First Tsuguri and jumped round. He swung round holding on with his left hand and then thrusting his right hand out for a stab. He wasn't exactly sure where the blade was going for, probably around waist or rib height. But with the momentum of him swinging round the blade would go straight in. And the best part was, he had no footsteps or anything because of the swinging round technique he was using so surely Jawn would have no idea what was going on until it was too late...
As the swing was made the smoke started to clear up and there were visible forms again. Jawn could basically see Cloud right in front of him and the giant blade protecting him. He could see the weapons on the ground and puddles from melted ice. He could see basic forms but it wasn't completely clear. It was more like a mist now. Now Jawn had a better chance. He had no time to think about it though because now his opponent could see too.
While he was noticing the smoke clearing up he didn't notice a dagger coming right at him. He saw something move in the corner of his eye and knew it was coming for his head. What would normally be waist level and a simple cut would now be a fatal blow that could kill. He had to get out of there fast. If he jumped back he wouldn't make it in time, he couldnt duck cuz he was already too low, if he jumped up to avoid it, it would hit his stomach before he made it, if he jumped to the left he would smack right into the huge sword, so the only choice was to jump to the right.
He jumped as fast as he could to the right but of course o n such short notice couldn't make it in time. Barely dodging his head it stabbed right into his arm, making him drop his staff. He could feel blood rushing down his arm, this fight was over now, he was weaponless, he had a disabled arm, his opponent was faster, and he had no cover. He had lost, now all he had for weapons was a rope, one more smoke bomb, which he deffinitely doesn't plan on using, a couple shuriken and three pocket knives, what good would that do. Except the pocket knives, at least they can be used as a weapon, but it would still do no good.
He stood ready in a fighting stance, about five feet away from the closest of the four weapons on the ground, if he was lucky he could make it, but if he went for it he would probably get that giant sword stuck in his head. He had to wait until his opponent did something he could use to his advantage to grab another weapon.
"It's your move"
He said as if nothing ever happened. But he was showing pain in his face, breathing hard and holding his left arm. He was far from okay, and far from winning.
((never said he did, clarifying here, when i said thaat reffering to footsteps i meant he never heard footsteps so he knows cloud didn't move, so he knows exactly where cloud is. And if he does hear footsteps than he'll still know where cloud is... should've clarrified that, sorry
okay i edited that part, now it says what i meant, i guess i was just a little too vague lol))
