In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

( ooc: What I don't get is how Jawn knew an attack was coming at him when Cloud swung round his blade. I mean, he didn't make a sound and you failed to mention how Jawn knew that was coming.
Seriously, you can't know everthing that's going on in the smoke unless I'm missing something. I've got Cloud hiding most of the time so that he doesn't get hit. He can't sense you attacking him, he's just making guesses and protecting himself from most possiblities by staying behind his weapon. Come on, sensing the cold is one thing but avoiding attacks that you can't see coming is getting a bit unreasonable.
Just have your smoke clear or become thinner so we can see or something because I think this is getting stupid now. )
((okay i edited, and as a result for everything else I did like that, Well, now I'm severly injured, weaponless, and don't have any other openings, lol, yep, and about the smoke thing.... I wanted to I really did, but I thought it was just too early, lol oh well, it's gone now, thank goodness.))
Thank god the smoke was beginning to clear; vague shadows of objects could now be seen. It wasn't perfect, but it was much better. Cloud was glad to see that he had struck his opponent. Though, in his arm of all places - he had expected a stomach shot, but this would do fine. In fact, it was more useful.
"You're in bad shape, you sure you wanna go on?"
Cloud asked as he casually grabbed the handle of the First Tsuguri with his left hand. He pulled it out of the ground with little strain and held it up in front of him in a careless manner. The blond then attached the dagger back to it without even bothering to clean the blood from it. Resting his weapon over his shoulder, Cloud smirked.
Jawn had rarely eveer given up under any circumstances. But then again he was never under these circumstances. He had pocket knives, but they were no good, he had a rope, what would he do with that? he had another smoke bomb but that just put him in a worse situation. And he had some shuriken left, but that would mark that he planned to hurt his opponent, and it wasn't going to work anyway, so if he used those he would just end up getting hurt. The closest weapon he had was his spear but that was right by his opponent. His magic was near nothing, he couldn't do much of anything.
Jawn had no chance at winning this fight unless a miracle happened. He was trying to think of a plan. After about 30 seconds he had thought of one and was about to execute it. He reached towards his belt and grabbed the rope. Than he took out the pocket knife. His plan was about to go into action. He was doing this as fast as he could so Cloud wouldn't jump to attacking him. He cut off a side of his shirt with the pocket knife and put it on his wound, tying it on with the rope.
When he was finished he looked Cloud right in the eye with a serious look on his face. He smiled a little bit before saying his next words.
"You're pretty good with a sword"
He said in a more happy mood than he should be. Than he stood there thinking wether he wanted to officially surrender or keep going with this nonsense. He put his right hand into the air as if holding it up like he was caught by police.
"You win. I keep going now there's no garuntee my life will wanna be with me in the end. And that seperation might give me a bit of a headache"
He said. Unlike a normal surrender though he still stood there. He waited for his opponent to put his blade away so he could collect his weapons once more. When an opponent is this ruthless, sometimes a surrender won't stop them. He stood there, gaurd down, waiting for his opponent to leave.
Was all Cloud had to say. He actually now respected this guy, not many people were smart enough to give up when they knew they were beat. But Jawn did.
With that, the blond wandered over to the remaining peice of his weapon, one of the dagger-like weapns he had thrown previously. He grabbed it and reattached it to the First Tsuguri before sliding the blade into the harness on his back. Just before leaving the arena, Cloud looked back and gave Jawn a respectful nod. And then he was gone...
Jawn couldn't help but smile at this. He had fought and he had lost. He found an opponent that could provide a good challenge for him. Too good. If it weren't for dumb luck and coincidence he would have lost his life before this moment. But now here he was. His opponent walking away, him with an injured arm and his weapons scattered on the ground. jawn had lost this fight humiliatingly, but still, he couldn't help but be proud. He lost to a very talented opponent, he could only imagine what he wouldv'e done if he ended up challenging anotheer newcomer.
Jawn grabbed his weapons and put them away as Cloud was leaving. By the time cloud was out of site he just stood there thinking. After thinking to himself of some things he muttered to himself
"I'll win next time"
He said under his breath. Knowing Cloud was long gone and couldn't hear him. Who knew if there was going to be a next time. Maybe fate will have them clash once more. Probably not but it's possible. If so Jawn will be ready. These thoughts were going through his head. After some serious thinking he smiled once more and silently left the colliseum
