In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Rook. Was. Mad. Curse that Lexaeus, he hoped whomever he was fighting in the "loser's bracket" killed him painfully. And shy of it, he would take his chance again while working alongside Marluxia. And curse Hades for not being able to call a fight. A draw? In the end, Rook was the only one left who could still fight back, lest Lexaeus simple let go and eliminate himself as well. There was no where to escape BlackJack, as far as Lexaeus stood.
No matter. This was his "second chance", and it might not have been where he wanted to go, he could still prove himself. He was tired and didn't have a lot of time to properly heal himself after the last fight, but he was feeling up to whatever may come.
A cloud of swirling black smoke slowly came to gather before Rook, quickly forming into a pitch black portal. From within the Void, Gilgamesh stepped out with a sigh. He had already lost his first fight, to a kid of all people, and was particularly annoyed with himself. Though, his previous battle was called to a halt, that was Gilgamesh's excuse for not winning. He claims he would have won eventually. Whether true or not, that was what he thought. The only reason why Gilgamesh was still here was that he may have a chance to fight the frosty kid again and teach him a lesson.
As he stepped forward, the portal closed behind him and he rotated his top-right shoulder to loosen it off a little. It was plain to see he had an injury there from before, he had it bandaged up. The only other change in his appearance was his lack of scarf; he wasn't going to be wearing that again in this tournament.
Without even asking his opponent's name, Gilgamesh got himself prepared for battle. After a quick stretch, the freak opened his hands and a selection of swords filled them. He had chosen the largest weapons in his collection, four in total; the Masamune, Buster Sword, Orichalcon and Zantetsuken. The long weapons, Masamune and Orichalcon were held in his left and right lowest arms, whislt the other wider bladed weapons were held in his tops hands. Leaving his middle pair free for now.
"I am Gilgamesh, master swordsman, blah, blah, blah.
The six-armed monster began in a monotone voice. This is the part where he would normally introduce himself with a big speech. But now, after losing one battle, he really couldn't be bothered with it;
Pain was fluttering above the dark arena with his fiendish grin. So now then, a fight between two failures. How interesting! A megaphone materialized in the imp's hand, and he then yelled loudly at the red-head boy and the six-armed monster. "Awright you two LOSERS! Lord Hades is letting ya beat eachother up ta redeem yerselves! ..... So ..... jus' fight some more!"
Pain quickly fluttered over to a balcony and pressed a button on the wall. The barrier was now set, and the battle shall begin!
Rook nodded. This round he would fight of his own accord. No more governors, nor worrying of overexerting the Darkness that was taking hold. All it took to win, he decided. That was all he would need.
"And I am Rook... and you won't be stopping me, either." With much concentration, he held his hands over his chest, closed his eyes and pulled them away. Within his balled fists, one glowed white hot with the energy of the Guard Light. The other, a dark whispy haze of dark energy.
The red-head didn't even draw a weapon, and instead covered his hands in light and dark magic. How anoying, spells already. Gilgamesh just hoped he was a fist fighter rather than a keen magic user. There was nothing more annoying to Gilgamesh than 'warrior' that relied on spells to bring them to victory. He saw it as a somewhat cheap tactic. Though, if this Rook guy was a fist-fighter, maybe Gilgamesh would have a good chance of keeping him out of range with his large weaponry.
Rook seemed to give away the first attack, not that they normally ever hit anyway. In fact, first attacks were fairly uselss. But, someone had to start it, right?
Gilgamesh paced over to his opponent at a pace just between walking and jogging. Not too slow, but not fast either. He began with a simple two hit combo attempt; swinging Orichalcon diagonally down first and then the masamune directly after, forming what would be a cross in the air. That would probably get things moving...
Hades walked into the room and sat in his throne. He just saw these two people fight. Time to see who is stronger. He gave a gesture to Pain to get him something to eat.
If the redhead could see into his opponents head he would have to laugh. The elements of Light and Dark as they applied to the Heart was not magic. It was not something one could learn or study to perfection. They were ever-ebing elements of existence that both clashed but were meant to coexist at the same time. The fact that Rook's could handle both physically was either a sign of great things to come, or terrible, awful acts in his future that he would likely not survive...
Rook ducked and tucked under the two and managed to steer clear of both blades. His opponent was moving slow on his own accord, but Rook would still let him set the pace. Spinning low, he kicked out his legs and held himself up on his hands, one leg set for Gilgamesh's knee, the other kicking the sword that came down second, hoping to unbalance his use of the weapon even for a moment. He crouched onto his hands and feet and watched, waiting for a retaliatory effort.
Gilgamesh seemed to ignore the kicks for both him and his weapon, and carried on attacking. One sword was dodged and the other kicked, he still had two more to come. Gilgamesh thrusted his two other weapons forward for a dual stabbing attack. Though, he leaned into this attack a little more than he wanted to. And that was because of the kick that struck his knee at the same time.
Rook's foot slammed into Gilgamesh's knee. And, to make sure it didn't get broken or anything, the freak allowed it to knocked back so that he was left on one foot for a second. But, that was much better than a broken knee cap, surely. That would only leave a bruise, it would heal up nice in a day or two. Gilgamesh was a little reluctant to be stood on one foot, even for a short time, as he was unbalanced. However, his foe would probably be too busy with the attack coming his way to be capable of capatilizing on it...
However, Rook was nothing if not innovative. He let his arms buckle and his body hit the ground, harrowingly avoiding both blades from cutting him into thirds, flinging his arm out along the ground, he summoned his BlackJack Keyblade and tossed it at Gilgamesh's balancing foot, and rolled backwards. If this odd-looking creature were to fall, Rook wasn't inclined to let him do it on top of him.
It didn't take long to realize that this was going to be another rough match. He had gone toe-to-toe with Lexaeus only on account of his diving headlong into Darkness. And he would surely pay for that. But even at his best, Rook was still down 3-to-1 in relation to armaments. Keeping it close range was probably not his best bet. Climbing to a knee, the light in his hand began to glow brighter.
Well, apparently Gilgamesh didn't give him enough credit. Rook did managed to both avoid the incoming attacks and attack at his other leg. Annoying, but impressive. Again, though, a damn Keyblade. Did everyone in this tournament have them!? Both of Gilgamesh's opponents were Keyblade Wileders. Was Gilgamesh the only one without one, or was he just that unlucky to fight two Wielders in a row? Either way, at least the thing was blunt.
BlackJack smacked into Gilgamesh's other foot, having the same effect as the kick prior to it. This left the six-armed monster to fall forward. It was a shame Rook had moved actually, if he were to land on him, he would be able to continually beat him with all six fists. There would be no way he could do anything about it. Yet, he didn't. So, he couldn't.
Gilgamesh extended his hands out as he fell forward. His weapons vanished in cloud of darkness so that he could catch himself from smacking the ground with a thud. Without messing around or pausing, he then pushed himself back to his feet as quick as possible whilst keeping an eye on Rook - particularly the light that continued to glow brighter and brighter.
As Gilgamesh came back to a standing position, it crossed his mind that he would have to be much more careful. Not only had been knocked down, but he had to be cautious about that light; he had no idea what that was for or how it would be used.
Meanwhile, dark smoke filled all of Gilgamesh's hands to equip himself with six identical katanas. Although they may not look as good as the rest of his weaponry, they were lighter than a lot of the others, allowing quicker swift attacks. But, for now, he didn't attack. Running in for the assault hadn't worked out too well last time, so he waited for Rook to make a move this time...
Less than one hesitant moment later, Rook clapped his hands together, the light that gathered exploding outwards in a blinding flash. The redhead turned his face away and clenched his eyes shut to avoid catching the glare he had created, and blinked several times, looking up Gilgamesh. Or what he thought was Gilgamesh. His eyes hazed from the attack and the blurry figure ahead of him was what Rook assumed to be his opponent. There was no one else here, right?
He held his hand aloft, aimed at the body of the blur, and fired. "Guard Light!" The bright beam of concussive elemental force bounded for the blue target...
With a tremendously bright light flashing up, Gilgamesh knew it would be some sort of distraction. However, there wasn't much he could do about it. He had to look away and tightly shut his eyes with the light hurting them so much. Yet, there was something he could do without looking. Gilgamesh held up his weapons, overlapping them over one another to form a makeshift shield to defend himself from whatever was coming...
And he was right - Rook did follow up with an attack. Since he was looking away to protect his eyes, Gilgamesh couldn't see what it was that came at him. All he did know was that it was quick and powerful. The multi-armed wierdo took the full force of the blast into his defense. He slid backwards, sending up dust as his feet slid across the ground a foot or two.
Once Gilgamesh came to a stop, he allowed his arms to fall back to his side as he charged at Rook again. This time he ran at almost the same speed as the usual human but with much more thunderous steps. As soon as he came into range, he began another combo assault; he began by thrusting the bottom to swords in a stabbing motion, whilst bringing the middle ones horizontally at each side and the final ones doing the same, only a second later...
