In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

A soft sigh escaping him, Jason stood on the arena, awaiting the arrival of his opponent. He wasn't sure what he was doing here, in the loser's bracket no less. He was to fight that Seed person that he had met in Twilight Town awhile back, but he forgot about it. His crystal ball told him to come to the Underworld AFTER the fight was over... Why was his Crystal ball purposely telling him to come after he had already lost? Was he supposed to lose? Was there more that he could do by losing and coming here? Jason wasn't sure....
One thing he was sure of was that his original fight was over. He was supposed to fight Seed, but that changed. He didn't even care to find out who he was fighting this time. He was just making sure he was ready for this fight. His staff appeared in his hands... His common, silver staff.... Black writing lined the staff, but it was unsure to anyone but him as to what it showed on it. He also stuck his crystal ball on the point of it, a means of acting as a medium for his magic...
The time for games was over... Now it was time to fight...
Xavier was still a little beat up from his fight with Elaeus. His meditating helped heal him, one of the perks of being a Psychic. He appeared in the arena with a loud snap. He was still in his levitating meditation pose. His eyes were still closed. If the opponent was smart he'd attack first.
"It would be in the best interest to not fight. Given that you didn't want to fight in your original one" Xavier said mockingly. His mind was focused in the black oynx ring on his left hand. Given to him by Jadis. New magic ment new fun.

Jason smiled when the other person arrived and said it would be best if he didn't fight. He simply shook his head at this comment and said "Sorry... But I've been told otherwise. Enough talk... Let's finish this." He said, running his hand down his staff as he did, adding on "The light from within, surround my opponent!" As he finished saying this, his staff lit up as light was sent out toward Xavier.
In the event that it hit, it would surround him, forming a sort of bubble around every inch of him. Every wrinkle, hair, and piece of clothing. It was as if it was an exact mold of himself. It would also slow down his movements, and cause his sight to be hindered by the bright light. The downside... It wasn't exactly fast in surround him, and could easily be destroyed. The good side... It didn't waste a whole lot of energy and was good for an opening move, as it often made people think that he was weak.
In the event that he either moved out of the way, or started an attack against him during his chant, he would simply stop and hold the staff in a defensive manner, prepared to defend, or switch to an attack, at a moments notice. He was fighting with someone who was over a thousand years old... Now to see how things would turn out in the long run...
The instant Xavier sensed energy moving towards him he formed his Mind Crystal Barrier in front of him. The light beam hit it and splintered off into the barrier that Hades put around the arena. Xavier opened his eyes and the ring on his finger crackled with static charges.
Holding his arms out, fingers pointed upwards, Xavier used his psychic powers to push Jason's body downwards as a powerful bolt of electricity shot out of his hands.
(Even though in my profile of Xavier it gives no mention of thunder or other magic. In the Traverse Town thread. "The White Witch Cometh" Xavier was given a ring that allows him to use it)

Well well well... Seemed that this man had the use of psychic powers. Certainly something he wasn't expecting. However... He had a bit of experiance in the psychic field. While he couldn't move anything with his mind, he was able to read others mind. It fell under the catagory of psychic powers, which gave him a bit of research into the matter. He couldn't resist completely, but it did bring him down to one knee as he looked up.
Electricity? Ha! That was one of Jason's specialties. A quick run down of his staff allowed him to quickly say "A barrier of lightning shall prevent it from striking!" As he said this, lightning surrounded him, preventing lightning attacks from hitting him. That included electricity as well. That being said, the electricity would hit the barrier and simply disappear, absorbed into the barrier.
In the event that no more lightning based attacks were launched at him, He would then switch from the support set of chants to the attack set and say "The lightning from the barrier, strike my opponent down." When he finished saying that, the lightning in the barrier started quickly toward Xavier and compiled to one large, powerful, lightning bolt. This took more energy then his previous attacks, but his mastery of lightning attacks made it not take as much. One thing Jason was good at was fighting for a long period of time. Xavier had quite a fight on his hands. If more lightning was launched at him before this attack was done, he would simply keep the barrier up to figure out what he would do next.
[Rundown of post: Fell to one knee due to psychic powers. Lightning barrier absorbed electricity attack. If no further electric attacks were launched, the lightning barrier would form a large lightning bolt, headed toward Xavier. If more electric attacks were launched, the barrier would just stay, the lightning bolt attack not occuring.]
Xavier simply formed the Mind Crystal Barrier in front of him again when he saw the lightning bolt head at him. The attack shinged off and was absorbed into Hades' barrier. Xavier moved the barrier upwards. He would keep it there to feed off of it. When need be, shatter it above Jason.
"Can you handle what you can't see?" Xavier asked coolly as he used his psychic powers to warp an illusion over himself. Still in his meditating state Xavier silently moved himself near Jason. Using the power of the ring, fired off Psyche Disks infused with Ice magic at Jason.

So... He wanted to keep himself hidden, did he? Very well. A quick thought changed the sets of chants on his staff while he said "Quite well..." He then ran his hand down his staff before saying "The power of light, protect me from my enemy." He then slammed his staff on the ground as a barrier of light surrounded him. If this man wanted to summon a barrier to block every attack he launched out, then Jason would do the same.
As the discs launched out at Jason, he watched them hit the barrier. However, what he did not expect is that they went right through the barrier. That was certainly an unexpected event. The first one hit his staff as Jason stood up, not wasting anymore energy. "Now it's getting interesting." He said as he blocked what he could. 2, however, did manage to get through and sliced his arm.
He didn't let it stop him. He changed the set of chants quickly and ran his hand down his staff. As he did, he said "Duplicate my staff and attack with a mind of your own!" During that time, one more hit his arm. However, his staff completed what it was supposed to do. A duplicate staff came from his original. At the cost of his attack chants, he now had a means of attacking no matter what. The staff flew around the arena, aiming straight for Xavier. The best part about having something that isn't alive manage to attack on its own is that illusions didn't affect it. It would know where Xavier is and manage to attack it anyway. For the time being, he kept his staff near him, blocking anything else that might come his way, while switching to the support chants, not able to do anything with the attacking ones.
((Well if there was a link to Xavier's bio, it would be easier to know. Post Edited))

(FOUL!. As stated in Xaviers profile, the Psych Disks break through any type of armor. A barrier is a type of armor as well. If you want to block the attack. Block it with weapons.)
Xavier smirked at the sight of his attack hitting. He was about to fire off a barrage of Blizzara spells when he saw Jason's staff fly out of the barrier and towards him. So, he figured out the secret after all. Touche. Still keeping the illusion around himself, Xavier moved out of his meditation state and onto his feet. The staff was 2 feet away and Xavier simply vanished in a loud SNAP. He teleported a short distance, closer to Jason in fact. Since Xavier was not present for a split second, the staff lost its "homing" effect it had on him. However, all Jason needed to do was tell it to attack again.
"Particles of air, condense yourself into an icy mass." Xavier silently said as the ring on his finger flashed blue and four shards of Ice came flying out of it. With that Xavier leaped into the air and fired off more Psych Disks and flung himself at Jason. Claws and fangs at the ready.

A snap would be heard and the duplicated staff would sit there for a minute. 'Go.' was all Jason had to think before the staff flew straight for Xavier once more. This also helped show Jason where he was. Seeing his staff start flying toward him a bit more, Jason knew that Xavier was closer to him. Things were getting interesting...
The ice shards flew first as Jason swatted 3 away with his staff. The fourth grazed his arm. In the time between the ice and the disks, Jason ran his hand down his staff quickly, saying "Duplicate my staff and defend with a mind of your own." The second duplication spell had finished. At the cost of his support and defense spells, another duplicate staff appeared from the original and flew around him, this time defending, rather then attacking. Now there was one flying straight for Xavier to attack him, one flying around Jason to defend from attacks, and the original in his hands for either purpose.
The psych disks came flying at him as he broke most of them, his duplicate defense staff destroying the two that he had missed. He took note of the change in his duplicate attack staff. It had turned up and started turning more toward Jason. This meant that Xavier was in the air, either by a jump or some power, and was moving toward Jason. His defense staff moved in front of him and started spinning rapidly, trying to prevent Xavier from reaching him. His attack staff was coming in from the side at a quick pace to try and strike him. And Jason casted Aerora on himself, then casting Thundaga directly on Xavier from where he knew he was. The wide spread attack would surely hit him from some point. How would Xavier cope with this?
((I believe using the second duplicate staff, the one for defense, would work in destroying the psych disks because of the fact that, while it is being used in a defensive manner, it is still a weapon. It's an exact copy of Jason's staff, without the writing on it. But it is still a weapon, so it should still work in defending against the disks.))
