In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

( thread reserection wweeeeeee . Hopefully I've gotten better at rping, cause looking at it my posts kinda suck XD )
Saffron was still quite scared that the creature was heading for her.. Why would it want her!? These thoughts clouded her mind until somthing caught her eye. it was Mercator waveing at her, then signalling for her to cover her ears... What was he up too? Saffron still listened, since well, it would be very stupid not to. She covered her ears tightly with her hands and glanced at Mercator to see what he was planing. She saw him take the microphone out of his pocket.... Oh please don't make it make that terrible microphone noise! thats bad enough at low volume! She thought
But just as she had feared, of course thats what he was doing. He hit the mic hard on his cane, which made it make the most unpleasent noise in the entire world! Saffron covered her ears tighter and shut her eyes tightly, just trying to block out that noise! But it was so loud that it was impossible!
She felt as everything around her was being blown over, and this sound wave didn't go without its effects on Saffron's body. Her recent head injury hurt more then anything from dealing with then force. Saffron knelt down on the ground, placeing her head at about her knees and simply waited to the horrible noise to fade away. Once the scilent seemed promiseing, her lifted her head agian, although it still hurt like crazy and looked around Please, please tell that thing is gone! She nearly begged in her thoughts.... if it wasn't what else could they do to the creature?
The beach club lay in ruins. Like it had been visited by a tornado. The damage was severe and the ground was littered with palmleaves and other rubble. The roof was gone as the evening sky with twinkling stars was shining down upon them. The musical installations were blown up and destroyed. Some strands of white smoke was still escaping the burned out speakers.
The strange musical nobody was nowhere to be seen. Had it been destroyed? Did it flee? Was it still lying somewhere under the mess? So far those answers could not be answered, the only sure thing was that it wasn't showing itself at the moment. Wich is always an improvement.
A groan escaped from somewhere on the floor. As sand and palmleaves began to stir. The old Mercator was slowly regaining consiousness and tried to get up. Getting his bearings and oriëntation while his vision was still blurry and his ears still ringing.
With aching bones and soar muscles, Mercator crawled from beneath the garbage. Using his cane as a support as the tired old man leaned heavily on it. He looked around to verify that the nobody was indeed gone. And then hopped towards Saffron. Limping a bit for his legs were also hurting. Breathing heavily the panting Cartographer approached her: "Saffron, are you alright dear?"
The Nameless Nobody slunk out of sight. These humans were quite... Scary. The Nobody heard a tune inside of his flute, echoing through his mind, of the emotions. Never had he heard this fear. These emotions were... Exhilirating. The faceless creature turned back and disappeared in the darkness, looking for a new adventure.
Perhaps there would be something far more entertaining than sand at another World!
[EXIT] Nameless Nobody

(bleh, sorry bout the short posty! x.x)
Saffron heard Mercator speak to her, and imidiatly looked for him.
"I'm alright Mercator." She said with a bit of a concered face. Although her head was killing her, Mercator looked in worse shape.
"Hey, take it easy!" She said standing up in rubel, and brushing herself off. A few scrapes made themselves apperent of Saffrons Legs and arms, but for the most part she was ok.
"You don't look like you're in any shape to be worried about me." she said and acctually smiled at him. "You think its gone?" she asked, not forgetting about the terrifying nobody.
Mercator raised his white eyebrows and then turned his head to scout out the area. Overlooking the crumbled karaoke bar for any sign of the menacing Nobody. So far there was no trace of it. It was either destroyed or it had withdrawn itself. Perhaps it was hiding to give them a false sense of security, but then it would have already missed the ideal oppurtunity to strike them. The Cartographer ensured himself that they had overcome the threat. A sense of pride stroke his ego, for his plan had worked. Again brilliant deduction have led to their succes. Although it could have been a less bumpier ride.
Mercator then turned his gaze to Saffron and said:" Well I'm not planning on staying here to find out for sure. Lets distance ourselves from this place now we can." Grunting as every step was painful to make, the old wanderer started to move away from the collapsed hut. The tip of his cane digging deeply into the sand. Of course he awaited the young Saffron to keep up with him. He knew all to well that she must be hurting tremendously, but it was not yet time to rest. Not yet. With a soft voice he encouraged her: "Lets find a nice, safe and quiet place to rest. The people that inhabit these islands are quite friendly when they're not hiding for heartless or nobodies."

Saffron simply nodded when Mercator said that he wanted to get out of this area. That was a very good idea. As she started to walk, her body seemed to just want her to collapse back into the ground. The cuts on her legs stung from the sand evering them, causeing every muscle movment she made to be quite painful. Not to mention, her head still hurt quite horribly from the sound attack on the hut.
however, through this, Saffron was still worried about Mercator, He was a lot worse off than she was. Saffron had delt with such annoying pains before. she'd live...
She noticed how Mercators walking seemed to be pained... and she really wanted to help.
" Do you need any help Mercator?" she asked, but imidiatly stumbled over her own feet and almost fell. Then staightened herself up and smiled shyly at him, seeing as she was just makeing a fool of herself now. "Ok, maybe not, i can bearly walk myself." "Being able to rest would be nice." she added.
Mercator stopped and turned around to look back at Saffron. Seeing her crawl back up from clumsely falling down. He didn't mind the delay for it gave him time to catch his breath. Air flowing in and out of his mouth and nostrils at continiously decreasing rate. While the energetic sparkle in his eyes was now only a dim light. But the old man proved to be remarkable resiliant for his age.
The Cartographer looked out at their surroundings. Night had fallen and the ocean was a dark inktblack mass of water now. The tide was still washing in at the shore. As the cool evening breeze was refreshing the hot sandy beaches to a more comfortable climate. He then looked around landinward to get his bearings and noticed how the palmtrees waved softly on the wind. A feeling of safety, peace and serenity was fulfilling the surroundings as more and more stars were appearing above them and even a beautifull cresent moon.
Mercator looked back at Saffron and spoke on a calming matter: "Take your time dear. There's a first aid post just down the beach I believe. We can recover there if we just grit our teeths and bare the last part for now."
Mercator switched his cane from his right hand to his left hand and then offered his hand towards the young woman. Both of them were in bad shape but maybe they could help each other to make this more comfortable for themselves. The sparkle in his eyes started to gain strenght again as his lips curled to a youghtfull and energetic smile.

Although Saffron wasn't to pleased with haveing t now go to a first aid stand, she reluctantly agreed with him.... she didn't like the pain she was feeling, although haveing to go get it fixed wasn't her ideal. So wasn't suposed to be so weak, why did these new lands make her so? it was really stupid! I'm much stronger then this! whats going on!? She thought, but then noticed Mercator offering his hand to her. Saffron shook her head. she knew that once she was given somthing to lean on, she'd cause Mercator to fall over... which was really the last thing she wanted. After all, she was young she could pull this off.
"It would be best to not." She said, but smiled at him as well. "I don't want to cause you to fall over as well as myself..." she said still smileing at him, and maybe had a slight laugh.
Mercator frowned his grey eyebrowns at Saffron. Looking perplexed as he pouted his lips extensifly. Then a smile appeared on his face. Soon followed by a chuckle. Pearly teeth started to shine through his laughing lips. Then the chuckle grew into a laugh. As it started to grew louder and more intense. Untill the old man was laughing out loud so hard he needed to clutch his cane again with two hands to remain standing.
The situation and Saffron endearing youthfull politeness was indeed a comical sight. But it was also a form of release. A release of all the angst and tension that had plagued them. The anxiety escaped Mercator's body and mind through his laughter. The strain on his body caused his injuries to hurt even more, but the old man couldn't stop. For with even all the pain, he was feeling good and even happy again.
It took a minute before the old man could get a grip of himself again. Still enjoying after pleasures as he looked down on Saffron. Finaly saying with a big grin: "My dear lass, I am a horizon walker. The day I fall down is the day I retire from this world. Now don't squible and let me help you."
The Cartographer squatted down as he gently took hold of Saffron's upper arms and started to help her up. Determend to get her to the first aid post so that they could get some rest... a long, well earned rest.

Saffron was very confused to put it simply. Why had mercator sudenlly started laughing!? what did she do? she was being compleatly serious!!! Saffron honestly didn't often show much signs of being girl very often.. since she didn't really feel like one often... but a few manerisms still leaked out accasionally. Saffron crossed her arms and tilted her head away from Mercator, makeing a typical pouting face at him. " Whats so funny Mercator? I was being serious!" she asked, still keeping her same expression.
apon hearing his responce, Saffrons expression changed a small bit as she became a bit embarassed by this sudden motion. Saffron stood back up with Mercator's help and looked shyly at him. "T-thank you." she said and turned her head away, attempting to regain her tougher composure.
Mercator had helped the young girl up. His laughter subdued to a gentle smile. But a sad one as he stared down on the shy Saffron. So young and already so full of burdens, it shouldn't be.
Softly he brought his hand to her cheek, the tips of his fingers caressing the underside of her chinline as he guided her head back to look upon him. With parental eyes the old man gave a compassionate stare while his thumb stroke over her cheeck.
With a soft voice he said:" Saffron,... you don't need to act all though around me. What good could come from fooling this old man? Don't try to grow up to fast, dear. You'll be old soon enough. And when you are, you'll miss youth. So be a child while you still can lass."
Mercator ended his speech by expanding his grin and frowning his face some more. The old wrinkles giving him a comical expression. While he also brought his hand from the side of her face to her shoulder and patted it friendly. Comforting and assuring her.
After that being said, Mercator turned and started walking... well limping actually down the beach towards the first aid post. It's doors were closed but there was still light burning through the windows. The head with rebellious spiking brown hair turned round to see if Saffron was following or not.

Saffron was a bit confused when she suddenly felt Mercators hand on her face. she tilted her head towards him, and listened to every word that he had told her... although she wasn't exactly sure how to react to it... Sure, she was still young.. and maybe she was trying to act an age onlder than her own... but, that was just how she was raised. She had to seem older and tougher... that was just.. who she was, Saffron honestly didn't know how to behave like a child.
She had spaced out a little bit, trying to figure this out, when she had finally noticed that Mercator had gone off ahead. She then quickly took off after him.. however for getting the pain for the scrapes on her legs for a moment.... running caused them to sting much worse. When Saffron caught back up to mercator, She panted a bit, then looked down at her stinging legs, which a few cuts had opened a bit more, and where more noticeibly bleeding "Oooww, that was stupid of me." Saffron said examineing the bleeding injuries. "I'm sorry that i kind of spaced out back there."
Mercator just gave her a big comforting smile while he replied: "Oh don't apologize for something like that, dear. It's good to space out sometimes. In fact, people should do it more often."
Without adding more explanation to his words, the old man kept on going in silence. Clearly tired and just focussing on reaching the medical outpost. The last strain of the day before he could finaly get some rest from this very tiresome day. Upon reaching the first aid post, the medics stationed there noticed the approaching duo and rushed out to take them in. Since it was very obvious they were both in need of healing.
An examination and some curative potions later, the wandering Carthographer found himself laying on one of the spare beds. Still in his clothing, but with a pile of bags alongside the bed. Not covering them anymore underneath his large trenchcoat it finaly became visible just how skinny Mercator really was. Each one of the practical bag were stuffed full with who knows what. Most of them were file holders, as massive bulks of paper and parchement could be seen. while others were rattling and rinkling with a thousand and one little trinkets and souvenirs that the map maker had gathered over all the years.
Mercator lay silently, breathing deeply and slowly with his eyes closed. He seemed to be asleep but he wasn't. Just resting untill he would be alone with Saffron agian. When the nurses would leave them in the dormitory he carefully peeked through his eyelids to spot her presence. When he was surtain that nobody else could overhear them he spoke out loud. "So Saffron my girl. Tomorrow is one of the last warm days at the beach before falls sets in permanentely. What do you want to do?"

Saffron walked scilently alongside Mercator as the medical station was in site. the scratches on her body stung very badly.. and she was very happy to be going to get those fixed.
As they arrived, the to medics hurried them both inside. One medic stayed with Saffron. She looked her over and gave her several disaproveing looks. "What have you done to yourself young lady?" She asked Saffron. "Well..... i don't think you want to know acctually..." Saffron said, mostly she just didn't want to explain... "You're beautiful skin is covered in scratches!." the nurse said as she started to heal up the more sever ones on Saffron's legs. "Oh I haddn't noticed at all." Saffron answered sarcastically and rolled her eyes at the medic. She looked frusteratedly back at Saffron then grabbed onto her hand. "Come with me young lady, We'll get you fixed up, cause I'm sure you have more sratches then visible." She then dragged Saffron off to a seperate smaller room.
When she was returned to the same room as mercator, Saffron was lot shyier then normal. mainly because her injuries caused a temporary outfit change for her... which she did not like at all. Saffron has several sratches on her back and around her chest, so they simply took her shirt away from her, and had her bind up her chest. Saffron was also required to put her long hair up to keep it off of her back, which was was very un used too. Also, since the condition of Saffron's legs, her bags where taken away from her legs while they healed.
Saffron shyly walked over and sat on the floor next to the bed which Mercator was apperently sleeping on. I hope he's alright... she though, thinking about how much worse off that he must be....
but Saffron nearly jumped hearing Mercator suddenly speak. "You scared me!" She exclaimed, looking at the man from still, the perspective of sitting on the floor. "i don't know Mercator." She said with a slight laugh, it was funny that he was already thinking about tomarrow. "I'm sure you know your way arounf here far better than me, you decide." she said and shyly smiled at him, still feeling shy about her apperence
Mercator was still lying in his bed, still holding his eyes closed but now with a pouty smile on his lips. His hands were crossed, laying on top of his belly. He hadn't even bothered to open his eyes and look at Saffron. But that was because he was really sleepy. Lying in the bed was so inviting him to fall into slumber. As all his strenght and stamina was being sapped away. His old bones needed to rest. The voice of young Saffron was starting to sound like it was coming from far away. It was bearly still registering in his mind. The senses were growing dull. Mercator realised he was falling asleep. But he couldn't, not just yet. He still needed to do one last thing.
Bringing his brain to work again at peak strenght, the elderly wanderer sniffed in a fresh batch of air through his nostrils. His chest raised up and then back down. While the oxygen envigorated him, bringing him back to the land of the waking. With a final swelling of strength and clarity, he said loud and clear. "Well then, that's settled then. Tomorrow we go have a nice day off at the beach. No Heartless, no Nobodies, no fighting, nothing but rest and relaxation. First thing in the morning, we are going shopping."
And with those parting words, Mercator rolled over in his bed. Rolling with his back to Saffron as his face dissapeared from her sight. Turning to his side as he made it himself more comfortable. Now willingly giving in to the fatigue that was wearing down on him. His breathing slowed down while his muscles relaxed. And right before blissfully drifting to sleep he said a mumbled:" Goodnight."
