In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

... She moved her hair away from her ear and placed the open end of the shell next to it and closed her eyes. "Alright, but don't like, be shady or ditch me now, I'm trusting you." she said with a slight laugh.
It was odd, she could hear, somthing, but she couldn't really give it a great definition, an echo? no. air blowing? no. what was this sound?
The sound of the tide rolling in was now very clear. Not just coming from the shell. But it seemed the sound was coming from in front of her. Other noises were now also present and even new feelings. She could hear very clearly the sound of the surf breaking onto the shore. Her feet were starting to feel cold, no wet. And the warming ray's of a hot sun was shining on her skin.
"You can open your eyes now." Mercator said softly. When Saffron would do that, she would no longer see the hospital room where she stood a couple of seconds ago. It wouldn't be nighttime at Travers Town anymore. When she opened her eyes, she would see this:
The warm evening sun shone brightly as an seagull flew over them squawking it's high pictched yell. Saffron found herself standing on the shore, her feet in the sand as the edge of the water flushed her feet. Not enough to enter her shoes yet. But enough to make her soles wet. There were palm trees and in front of her, the ocean. In the distance she could see a small island. With some wooden structures on it. It somehow looked like an elaborate tree house, but then on an island.
Mercator was standing next to her, his outfit had changed a bit. His trenchcoat was now suddenly sleeveless and no longer buttoned up. It was hanging open and a white shirt with golden linings could be seen. As if he has adapted to the warmer climate that ruled here.
Both were standing there, at the main island. Looking out at the play island. Seconds ago they were in Traverse Town, in a hospital room. Saffron only closed her eyes and when she opened them, they were here.

As Saffron opened her eyes, she hand to shield them because it was.... bright!? Traverse Town wasn't bright at all.. where were they now??? She looked around seeing now a very large mass of...water? Saffron had seen smaller sized lakes in her own world, but nothing extravagant. This possible water moved and made loud noises when it crashed apon its self. It also smelt very strange here, at it was a bit cold.
Saffron turned to Mercator, with a surprised look on her face. "Where are we?" she asked looking around agian. "This can't still be Traverse Town can it?" she asked hen looked at her feet, she was standing in some.. odd dirtish substance. she bent down and picked some up to look at it. "And what is this?" she asked curiously. then she paused, she was asking to many questions for him to answer t once, so she stopped until these were answered.
Mercator couldn't help but laugh at Saffron discovering the beach for the first time in her life. His brown hair colored to a red tint in the late evening sun. When he was done he looked at Saffron with warm, comforting eyes. Reassuring her that all was safe and well.
Mercator moved from his spot and turned round, to see the mainland and takes a couple of steps towards them. Circling Saffron. Mercator was leaving footprints in the wet sand. Footprints that started from the point he stood as she opened her eyes. Like they appeared there in thin air. Saffron also saw that there were no footprints leading to the spot she was currently standing on.
On a friendly tone, Mercator spoke. As he gently laid his hand against Saffron's back to guide her towards the buildings. "There's a karaoke bar closeby with very tasty cocktails. I'll explain everything there. But you were right about us no longer beeing in Traverse Town. This, my dear girl, are the Destiny Islands. And this is where it all begins."
And as they left the wet shoreline, their footsteps beeing washed away by the tides. The camera pans out and the logo of Destiny Islands appears.
The title fades and the camera zooms in at Mercator and Saffron sitting at a table on the sand. Near a straw beach club, sipping on cocktails. As Mercator was explaining all the basics of sun, sea and sand. About the beach and the ocean, and what people normaly do when they visit it.
"... So you see, eventhough it's fun to swim in the sea. Don't drink the water. It's awfully salty. And after each swim you need to wash the salt off. For it could be bad for you if you don't. Although you would first have to get a swimsuit anyway." And he drank from his cocktail through a straw.
A small silver figure splashed slightly out of the water, disappearing beneath it once again. The tide splashed over, the crest of the small wave washing over the silver object, hiding it from view. Beneath the water, fishes darted out of the way as this strange, fluid creature darted too and fro. The calm surf was slightly disturbed as the strange creature stuck its head out of the water, looking around curiously.
The Nameless Nobody held up its prize, the strange squiggling beast, and walked up onto the shore. Only four feet tall at most, it was a creature of the oddest white, that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. It held an insignia on its chest, with a blank face and a dark hat-like object. Two antennae twitched as it sat on the beach, stroking the turtle it had caught. It examined the shell, looking at the geometric shapes that appeared, and the turtle stopped scrambling. The Nobody petted it, stroking its underbelly with its odd claws.
It looked around with interest at this new World and met the eyes of a person sitting on the sand. It angled its head in curiosity and crept forward.

Saffron made a slightly pouting face at Mercator lauhghing at her, it wasn't herfault she asked so many, possibly stupid questions... this was all new to her.
~
(note: Saffi isn't old enough to drink..) Saffron sat quietly, sipping on a smoothie, listening to Mercator explaining to her what the beach was all about. Its was very interesting, which is why she was able to keep quiet the whole time. That is until he said that Saffron would need a Swimsuit. Although she did enjoy swiming, Saffron hated haveing to wear a swimsuit, for two reasons. one, that she plainly desliked the girls styles, being the tom-boy she is. two, Saffron isn't that hard to look at, which back in her homeworld made her very annoyed with everyone since she plainly did not want the attention, especilly not from dumb boys.
Saffron looked away, out onto the coast agian, because she felt a bit akward. The beach was really pretty. her eyes moved along the coast, until she saw somthing... strange. it seemed to be a creature of some sort... Not takeing her eyes off of it, in order to not lose track of the strange thing, she spoke up. "Hey Mercator? What is that odd silvery thing?" she aske and pointed to it.
"...Odd, silvery thing?..." Mercator asked laughable as he followed her gaze out at the ocean. But as soon as he caught sight of the silvery thing that Saffron was talking about. His face switched instantly to a worried expression.
Turning round, the old wanderer also stood up from his bench in a fluid motion. Standing tall as he reached for his cane that he had resting against the tables edge. With an alerted voice he said strict: "Stay here Saffron, that looks an awfully lot like a bloody Nobody. Be carefull when you spot those. They're simular to the Heartless, but much more dangerous."
Seeing how the Nobody was petting a turtle that it was holding in it's hand, Mercator narrowed his eyes. Fearing the worst for the ill-fated tortuouse. But as the creature was still distracted, Mercator continued explaining to Saffron on a calm but serious tone: "Sometimes when people turn into Heartless, their heart was so strong that the body remains. This becomes a Nobody. An empty shell that actually does not exist. They sometimes seem to be alive, to have memories. But that's not true. It's only an echo of their previous life. As Heartless are instinctifly searching for hearts like animals, with Nobodies you can't even guess what their goals are. We must remain vigilant."
The arrival of the strange unknown Nobody has placed the old pilgrim on edge. He was so hoping for a holiday. But it seems that yet again, his plans were cancelled. Remaining at the table in front of the beach karaoke bar. Mercator kept his eyes on the intruder like a hawk watches his prey. Ready to act should it appear to be dangerous.
It examined the people up on the beach and felt the impact of a memory. That one guy! Samael! He showed the Nameless Nobody how to make better music with the Shift Sonata. The Nobody scuttled forward, its antenna twitching wildly. The black hat hid any eyes it might have, and it didn't have a nose or face in the first place. It played in the sand and hopped wildly as it moved up the beach towards the humans.
Some humans would attack but Amadeus, he knew how to fend them off. His music always protected him from attackers like those. The Nobody looked at the man who watched him diligently. He seemed to be holding onto some sort of stick. The Nobody burrowed slightly into the sand, poking his head out at the man. Was this man going to attack? These odd Light-being-peoples who held the sticks or the shiny sticks always seemed to attack.
The Shift Sonata. a silver flute, appeared in the creature's hands. It cocked its head at the man, wondering what the guy was doing. A sweet, jumbled melody played into the air.

Saffron simply noded, she wasn't going to argue that she could handle herself.. she didn't even really understand what the darn thing was, although she was listening to what Mercator was saying.
"is there any other odd creatrues I should know about to add to the list of Heartless and.. Nobody?" she asked.
it would be helpful to know about these things...after all there was so many weird things around... how could she tell what was friend or foe? She definantly didn't want to attack anything innocent..
While keeping his eyes anxiously at the Nobody, Mercator answered Saffron's question with: "Well... those two are the only ones that matter right now." There used to be another kind of creature that was dangerous but they had not been seen for a long time now. So the old wanderer didn't felt it neccesary to burden the young Saffron with that knowledge.
As the Nobody was appareantly getting closer, Mercator raised his cane in a defensive matter and held it upside down like a sword. While shuffling away from the table to create some distance. "Lets begone from it, better not to engage this thing."
Then as the Nameless Nobody started to play music on his flute, it caused his eyebrows to raise. Looking surprised. Never had Mercator encountered a Nobody that played music. But then a frightening idea struck him as he rememberd tales from other worlds. Cautiously he yelled out at Saffron: "Saffron! Don't listen to the music! It will ensare your mind if you allow it. We must go now."
The Nobody reached the table as the people moved. It stared at them without emotion. What were they doing? The creature let the flute vanish and stared at them, its antennae twitching slightly. Annoyance? It wanted to meet these people who smelled new.
It jumped off of the table, its small feet sinking into the sand. He relished the feel of the warm sand in contrast to his cold body, rolling around in the silky substance. None of it held to the Nobody's skin as he rose again. He scrambled towards the people, the silvery pauldrons on his shoulders shining in the afternoon sunlight.

Saffron started to wonder, what was more dangerous about these things? was it simply that it was a lighter, shiny creature that possible could... blind you? That was an odd idea. She wsn't about at ask however, Mercator was saying to get away from the nobody, it would be better to listen instead of being stubborn as she usually would. Saffron looked confusedly when Mercator told her not to listen to the music.... was there reeally any harm in that? Yet agian, se just listened to what he said and covered her ears. she also backed away from the nobody that seemed to be semi-quickly appraoching.
(meh sorry bad post ._. i hadda do it quickly while ma friend is over.)
Mercator and Saffron were busy backing away. Their feet sinking in the evening sand creating loose dips that indicated footprints. The sandy terrain didn't affect Mercator at all. Who walked with a normal thread and grip like on regular solid ground.
Seeing as how the silvery white creature was heading towards them he cursed. While reaching out with his free hand to Saffron to hold her by her shoulder. To make sure they sticked together while keeping his gaze locked on the oncoming threat. "Humbug, it has singled us out. There's no telling what it intents to do with us."
Trying to scare the approaching Nobody away, Mercator made big waving motions towards it. Like one would scare off a flock of pigeons or stray cats. While yelling: "Shoo, shoo, begone with you... Aloof with your devious antics, aloof!"
"Shoo, shoo, begone with you... Aloof with your devious antics, aloof!"
The Nobody stopped for a second and turned its head from side to side. It wondered exactly what it was doing wrong. This human seemed to be quite angry with it. It wasn't being bad, though...
So it continued.
It played and rolled in the sand as it drew closer, leaving the table behind. It stopped and tilted its head at them, them played in the sand a bit more. Every once in a while, the flute would appear, and a series of jumbled, light notes would sound through the air. The Nobody rolled around in the sand, relishing the feel on its cold, slick skin. It finally stood up and drew closer to them.

Saffron as well was watching the nobody closely.. but she felt somthing diffrent from it... It didn't really feel all tha dangerous, maybe, lkike it was just playing? Saffron glaced at Mercator for a molment and said
"Do you think maybe it dosn't want to hurt us? Maybe it just wants to play... like a little puppy.." she asked, knowing this was a very, very stupid question.. but she somehow felt that it was true. AlsoMercator wasn't treating it as much as a treat as he said it was.. you don't just shoo away a treat.. you fight it.
Mercator kept eyeing the approaching Nobody cautiously. Matching it's approaching speed with guarded steps backwards. Occasionally glancing halfly over his shoulder to see where he was going. So far they were just parading further over the beach. All the other residents of the islands had long fled. Leaving them alone with the Nobody. There's never an overzealous wannabe hero around when you need one.
At her comments Mercator then replied to Saffron: "Of course it wants to play with us... like a cat plays with a mouse before she eats it. And i'm trying to avoid a fight here. This is not a mere dusk that stands before us. Those I wouldn't mind fighting off. But i've never seen this type of Nobody before. Who knows what it can do to us. We shouldn't underestimate it. Still at the constant appearing and disappearing flute I reckon his powers are musically related.... The karaoke bar! That's it! We have to get back!"
