In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

So the girl was interested in Darkuns’ abilities. Well, manipulating shadows was a unique and interesting talent and particularly useful for someone such as Darkun who liked dramatics. She could understand Kais’ curiosity. Limber gave Kai a distracted smile as she talked. She felt unsettled. Was it residual illness from lack of food, since she could not have digested the pie yet, or something else?
She answered the question. “Well, you haven’t seen me around because I haven’t been in this town for more than, hm, three days.” She reached for the pie tin. “May I have a look at this?” She peered at the filling carefully and only just managed not to poke it with a finger.
Looking didn’t do any good since the filling was one creamy semi-solid mass. She sniffed it though all she got from that was the pie smelled fishy.
She looked at Kai. “I doubt that you’d know everyone in this town by sight, though you may have a better eye for faces than I do. Do you taste shrimp in this?”
Limber rubbed her throat absently. She saw Darkun smiling at them and if he hadn’t had no idea how to make a convincing expression she could have sworn he looked dopey. She nodded noncommittally when he asked how the pie was.

Kai nodded thoughtfully to Darkun's answer. His words definitely explained a lot.
Especially the whole 'pie out of nowhere' concept, She smiled, almost letting out a laugh.
"Well, you haven't seen me around because I haven't been in this town for more than, hm, three days," Kai noticed Limber reach for the pie tin, but her mind had already began to buzz.
She felt uneasy, though she wasn't exactly sure why. Had she been too pushy with the question? After all, Kai wasn't exactly open to telling about her life...
What I remember of it. Thoughts of her damaged memory began to sink in, like cold, icy tendrils trying to make her forget...forget everything she knew.
Realizing where this was going, she quickly pushed the thoughts away. It wasn't the time...
"I doubt that you'd know everyone in this town by sight, though you may have a better eye for faces that I do," Limber had turned to face her, "Do you taste shrimp in this?"
"Maybe," She smiled uneasily, her dark green eyes blinking with bewilderment. "I don't know, maybe squid? And no...I don't."
"I mean," She paused, taking a small breath, "I recognize people, but I just...don't know them."
"I've always thought that was strange. You see people...you see them a lot, and you don't even know who they are or where they've come from. Or even what they've been through..."
Realizing how strange her comment sounded she added quickly, "If that's ever happened to you anyways."
