In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

The path finally comes to an end after no-one-knows how long. In the pitch blackness, it's hard to determine what it really is your standing on. Are you still on the tree? To those that reach down, coarse sand meets their hand. Indeed, you have come to the very cursed ground itself from which this evil tree sprang. You feel your way along the trunk, moving around to discover what's down there. Finally, a small, flickering light on the other side from where you touched down. A single torch is attached to the tree right next to a naturally occurring opening in its trunk between two huge roots. From the look of it... there are no more torches inside this "cavern". The one attached to the tree is all there it. What sends a shiver down your spines is that the path in the cave seems to lead downward even farther.
Shiro's eyes widened at the sight of the small light on the other side. He walked a few steps, then he realized that it was simply a torch. One torch. Now why would a torch be there in the first place? It was probably a trap.
"Don't take the torch. It might be a trap. It probably is..." he told the others in the group. He thought about a way to use the fire, without taking the torch. He could use his backpack. He could light it up and toss it into the cave, so atleast they could see how far it went down. It was a good idea to Shiro. He didn't know if the others would think the same.
"If I set my backpack on fire... We could see how far it goes down." he added with his calm tone. He had more backpacks at home. It wouldn't be a big deal. The only thing that worried Shiro was the question that if he was going to see Traverse Town again or not. "Perhaps there might be some quick sand or something down there. I don't know. I've never been to this place before... So, does everyone think its a good idea?"
V cringed a little the group came upon a bright light, she squinted her eyes to see what the light was. As it turned out it was a torch. "Well that's wierd..." she thought, she was about to touch it when Shiro cut her off.
"Dont touch the torch. It might be a trap. It probably is..." he said.
V withdrew her hand, he was probably right. She then remembered that this was a foriegn world to all of them, and that in order to play it safe they had to be extra cautious. She looked at Shiro and smiled.
"Thanks!" she said taking a hold of his hand she laughed, "that was a close call there."
She then let go, and turning back at the flame she wondered how they could use the flame without touching the torch. Apparently Shiro was thinking the same thing, for he suggested that they use his backpack and inflame it. V thought, sure it was a good idea but she didn't want Shiro to have to lose a possesion of his.
She looked around, and spoting a bone piece of an arm smiled. She had a good idea. She went over and picked up the bone, then turning towards everyone she smiled.
"Thats ok Shiro we can just use this!" she held the bone out for everyone to see, she then took a hold of her robe sleeve and ripped a little bit of it off. She then coiled the fabric around the bone, and walking back up to the torch put the fabric part into the flame.
The fabric then lit on fire, and in itself turned into some what of a torch. Her smile widened, she was then about to turn back to the group when suddenly, she felt an aura not too far from them. She turned her head to the path where they came from and looked around. There was nothing.
"Hmmm..." V thought, "Is someone following us?" she stared into the darkness for a secound, and still didn't see anything. "I guess we'll have to be more alert." she thought.
She then looked at the group, and smiling she said. "So...shall we go?"
"Traps just what we need" he said. Ravian was tired of this walking and more walking. He hated when nothing was happening it was so......boring. He looked at the torch and then to the two crazy people offering to burn their stuff instead of pick the free fire up. He sighed "Honestly how bad could the trap be. But okay lets just burn random stuff."
Ravian walked forward past the torch and said "I swear people always think of the worst situations." He walked into the cave and said " I bet this cave is a trap to why dont we climb the tree instead!!" Other than being bored Ravian was tired...mostly tired of walking. He started snapping his fingers of his chain wrapped arm at random intervals as he walked in to the "cavern" at every snap he made a spark of electricity and a small flash.
He closed his eyes and leaned on the wall while walking if he was going to walk for a while he was at least going to rest while doing it. What he didn't notice was that his arm as it had before when he had first got here was still slightly glowing and casting light on the walls of the cave.
((let me know if you want me to use colored words again I just got tired of it and sorry for shortness))
Limber listened as the people in the group spoke to each other. When she joined she had taken advantage of the flickering flame to examine them.
She hadn't know which she had seen by the fountain went up and which down. Two males and a female, appearances made that obvious enough. The woman was in a robe, probably white. One of the men was a were creature, based on his muzzle and the fact that he was walking upright, with the occasional shine of metal as the light from the torch hit one of his arms. The third one smelled of ozone from the lightning sparking along the chains on his arms. She had noted his appearance by the fountain and remembered the greyness of his skin.
The dog and the girl were trying to figure out what to do. Whether the cavern ahead was a trap and whether they would trigger a trap by picking up the torch. The girl had found a humerus and tore the sleeve of her robe, making a torch with the bone and the clothe and using the other torch to light it. The girl turned toward limber and peered into the darkness. I wonder, did she spot me?thought Limber. It wouldn't be of much note if she had since Limber wasn't hiding but it was interesting that the girl could sense her.
Using the girls improvised torch seemed sensible enough to Limber but the one who had the electricity, that one seemed tired of the talk and walked ahead into the darkness as he made his arms spark crak, crak His arm seemed to glow slightly.(is the glowing from the electricity, or just natural zombie glowing?)
Limber didn't much care as long as they advanced. she would be able to see by the faint crackling light of the electricity, or the light of the torch. Neither was particularly easy to see anything with but she supposed they would help keep her from bumping into the people she followed.
She had gone into this knowing that Oogie Boogie would likely have traps set within his own territory and falling into one was probably inevitable. She stayed where she was, waiting for the other two to follow with their torch. Perhaps they wanted to see if sparky wandered into any traps.
Poof poof poof! The first trap had sprung! However, it was likely not one that our adventurers were expecting. Poof poof poof. Gargoyles, Wight Knights, and Search Ghosts. They appeared on the tree-path. blocking the party's escape. Poof poof p-poof. More were appearing, and at a rapid rate.
They began to appear in a ring around a tree. A throng. An army of Halloween Heartless. Slowly they began to inch their way towards the group. Their numbers were overwhelming, and from the sound of continued spawning, even if they managed to beat the building and encroaching army, more would likely follow.
Fight against impossible odds, or plunge, running for your life into the great unknown?
Shiro watched Ravian as he walked into the cave. He expected that Ravian would trigger a trap. Fortunately, he was wrong. He didn’t want Ravian to put them all in danger.
“Thankfully, you didn’t trigger a trap.” he replied. “You should continue with caution. I don’t want us in danger because of you.”
He then turned his attention back to V. “Shall we continue?” he asked V. He was about to start walking, but he smelt something. It kind of smelled like him, except it wasn’t as strong.
“Perhaps there is one following us…” he added. He took off his backpack and decided to light it up. He zipped it open and dumped everything out. He then ran up to the torch and set his backpack on fire. He quickly turned around and threw it a short distance so he could see what was behind their group. He saw a girl that looked like a human, except with fur and looked more like a cat.
“It seems that we have a visitor…” he said with a smirk. He was about to introduce himself, except he saw a light in the distance (from the search ghosts). “Are more following?” he asked with a confused, yet calm tone. Soon, a creature appeared. It didn’t look like a creature from Halloween Town… It looked more like… A heartless. He heard marching. It seemed like more were coming.
“Into the cave, everyone, it seems that there are too many.” he told the others. He waited outside until everyone was in. When everyone went in, he would follow. (So whoever is the last one in the cave, please say that Shiro followed)
V was surprised as Shiro inflamed his back-pack and threw it right past her. She turned a round to see some what of a Neko.
"Its seems we have a visitor." Shiro said.
V nodded, "I knew it..." she thought. She was about to walk towards the Neko girl and talk to her, when she sensed aura's trudging towards them at incredible speeds. She looked and saw, a heartless!? V took out her scythe, and swung it at the creature. But as she was about to hit it, it disappeared.
"What!?" V shouted surprised.
The heartless reappeared behind her and clawed her back. V cringed, man did it sting!
"Into the cave, everyone, it seems there are too many." She heard Shiro say, she nodded and turning around jolted towards the dark depths of the cave. As she was just at the mouth she turned around towards the Neko, "Come on!" she shouted to her, she ran back and grabbing a hold of the girls hand ran back into the cave.
Ravian kept walking(though he was very annoyed at Shiro) until he heard "It seems we have a visitor"He then quickly turned around ready for battle but quickly relaxed when he saw that the follower was human.....ish.
Then just after this cat person appeared so did a swarm of heartless. He heard Shiro's instructions but wasn't about to give up with out knowing his chances of winning
He waited where he was in the cave until the two girls went by((since v brought the limber with her)) and said to Shiro "Are there really that many?" A second later he saw the horde of heartless and simply said "oh"
He took out his scythe but quickly realized fighting wasn't going to work. He looked around but could only find one way out of the situation. But first they needed something. He ran to the front of the cave and quickly yanked the torch out of its socket and said "we'll probably need this"
Ravian quickly started running farther into the cave, though not to fast as to keep the torch burning, Shiro following.((as requested)) This many heartless in one place really spooked Ravian "Why so many" He said aloud "We can't keep running forever. Eventually we will get tired....so anyone got an idea"
((and yes the glowing is from the electricity.....zombies glow?))
Limber knew something was coming before it did. She tensed ready to run, but then had a back pack thrown at her it was on fire. She took a step to the side and looked up to see the dog staring towards her triumphantly “It seems that we have a visitor…” he said. So, they had found out she was following. Her mind was on other things but she couldn’t help but wrinkle her nose at the unpleasant smell the burning cloth produced. Was that really necessary?
The girl in the pale robe nodded. “I knew it.” She looked about to approach, but the heartless came before that. Winged heartless, ghost heartless and heartless wrapped in bandages. They blocked the exit.
Limber groaned inwardly. If these…people hadn’t distracted her she would have already taken off further in. As it was she had to wait for an opening. Her companions had engaged and were getting in the way.
"Into the cave, everyone, it seems there are too many." You think? Limber didn’t need to be told that the only way was forward.
And then the girl grabbed her hand and started pulling her. What was she thinking? This was no time for girl bonding. They would only slow each other down. Holding hands was what children did in a tense situation; It had no real life advantages for people who needed to hurry.
Limber broke the hold and took off running. She ignored her sand and bug encrusted shoes and Concentrated on the distance. Not that she could see it. She had to keep her speed up.
(Please don’t assume my Limber has just been standing there whenever you want her to be standing there, or running obediently along. Concentrate on what you do, not what you think I’m doing. Don’t power play me. )
The final adventurer passed through the opening in the tree's trunk. After they had ran a few steps, there was a swift, sharp click. It was impossible to tell which, but one of them had stepped on something. A switch. A trap?
Suddenly, a heavy door fell into place over the opening. The good news was it locked the Heartless out. The bad news was, for all intents and purposes, they were now shut in.
The path before them was a gentle slope downwards that curved to the right like a spiral. The corridor was wooden, but not so much carved out of the tree as it was naturally formed; as though the tree had simply grown that way, or -dare to think- that it had been bored out by the claws, jaws, and maws of some entity... or entities.
Shiro suddenly stopped when he heard a swift, sharp click. "Did anybody hear that...? Or is that just my imagination...?" he asked as he turned around. The first thing he saw was a giant door blocking their way out. Though, he was glad to know that the heartless were locked outside.
"Well thats great..." he said in a calm tone. "Hmm... Well, I guess we keep going." he added as he turned around to the group that was left, or even no one. He looked at the path ahead of him. It seemed that the path was going down.
"I'm suprised we haven't reached the end. This cave can't just continue going down. Then again, I'm not from this strange world, so I guess I know nothing." he added. It felt a little weird walking around without his backpack. He guessed it was because of that he never walked outside his house without it on. Still he had more at home. It wasn't a big deal. He just hoped no one would hit him in the back. He honestly didn't know if he was going to get back to Traverse Town or not. Well, there was only one way to find out. He then stopped thinking about, and continued down the path.
V was surprised as the caves mouth closed in on them, she looked behind but then decided to keep going ahead. With her torch in hand, she continued to sink deeper into the darkness.
"God...how far does this thing go?" she wondered.
She stopped for a secound to see if she could spot the end, but there was no sighn of light. She sighed, "Oh...well...no use complaining..."
And with that, V continued down the path, she just hoped she wouldn't bump into anyone while she was.
Ravian sighed. He was tired of this world already all it seemed to hold was bugs heartless and traps. He looked around and listened to everyone talking and then replied to V
"What are you talking about complaining makes everything better. especially when the only things to complain about are how dark it is, how many bugs there are and how long this stupid tunnel is."
On his last word he kicked the side of the tunnel and moaned. "So anyone got something to talk about cuz I'm all out of complaints?.....This world hates me." He started twirling his tonfa around in his hand and every few feet he made a mark on the wall for no reason. Boredom....one of the many things he cant take.((sorry for shortness and being late. our internet is down but i can still get on at star bucks))
