A cold evening (Complete)

That was curious. The fight had ended, but everybody disappeared. Than, somebody appears out of nothing. Whomever he was, he should be powerful. The Shark raised guard, mantaining fighting stance - just in case.

- For what I fight? I fight to protect people. I fight so anyone else have to go trough what I went... so anyone else have to lose someone important! - He said, his voice increaising at every word - now tell me, are YOU the responsable for all this?

There was a pause before the stranger answered. Letting the tension grow thick as he stood there ominously. Standing there normally like he didn't feel threatened or provoked by the Shark's fighting stance.

The dark figure then raised his arms as he asked questionably:
"Why protect those that can't protect themselves? Why try to safeguard them from the pains that you went through? When those pains are the source of your power. Why deny someone else that right?
You are fighting to become stronger. You are fighting to prevent others from becoming your rivals.
You are not noble at all, that is only a lie you tell yourself to hide the fact that you are selfish. Why don't you open your eyes and see the truth?
I may have introduced a little anarchy in this town. But the real guilty one here... is you.
Since you defended this whole town, nobody learned to stand up for himself. Nobody gained the pain necessary for them to grow and learn. They remain weak and at our mercy. Both yours and mine. Remaining with the hope that someone else will safe them. A thought that is as treacherous as it is foolish.
It will take the power of this entire town to stand up against the dark times to come.
Now they will be doomed when that day comes. Now because of you, they will not be ready."

The boy listened as the figure spoken, bud didn't fell for his mind games;

- It's because they don't have anyone else to protect them that I do it. And I prevent them for suffering because nobody deserves it at all. My power doesn't come from my suffering, but from my promise, the promise to protect other people. That is what I fight for, and always will!

However, the second part got the doubt in the Shark's mind.

- I don't... No! I know what you're trying to do! And you're wrong. People can grown without having to suffer. I have prevented suffering to numeerous families and they will look upon my example. They will get stronger yes, because they have hope, a hope that I mantain alive, hope that there is good people in the world. And hope that they can be as good as those people, those good examples. I'm one of those, but not the only. And, when the Dark Time comes, they will be surely ready. And if they're not, I will protect the town myself, as always did. Or I'll die trying.

- Now, your bastar, Back off, and go away of Twillight Town, or you'll have trouble. - Said The Shark, getting into fighting stance again - I'll beat the crap out of you if you're not out of here at the count of three! - said the boy, pretty angry this time. Nobody would harm the city... Nobody!

The dark figure stood undisturbed. His body not betraying any emotion or reaction at all. The hollow hood gleaming dangerously at the young hero. His voice sounded again, lower and more dark this time.

"Vigorous and brave, but unfortunately stupid. You should not utter empty threats that you can't keep.
Go on then, protect this town. Keep living in the illusion of safety and prosperity that you hold for yourself. I will return when reality catches up with you."

The blacked robed figure turned around and stretched out his arm. A dark portal opened up a few meters away. The corridor flaming and waving with the power of darkness. The person then walked through and dissappeared. Ignoring the Shark completely for if he chose to still respond to his last words.
The Portal collapsed and all trace of his presence was gone.

You are now the target of all follow up plots that come from this one. hehe

- Come if you must. then I'll be able to break this "reallity" piece by piece. - Threatned The Shark as his opponent backed off. Probabbly everything would return to normal now. The blue hero looked at the sky, thinking. Dark Times... what the hell was that all about? Well, he was willing to fufill his promise. No matter what heappened, he would always be here to safeguard Twillight Town.

Now that the city was safe, it was time for more adventures. He removed the Star Shard of his pocket and, with a "pop", went flying to new worlds, and new adventures!
