In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Jawn had smelled the darkness intensing in his hand and knew something was gunna come. And it was going to be bad. He had an easy way to avoid it though. All it took was a calm mind and steady aim. He put his staff back together as quickly as he could and exhaled deeply in order to concentrate. Holding the staff in a fighting position he was ready.
He had a three step plan here. Except the difference was, he would get good results no matter what step worked and what step didn't. He focused on his true target. The hand that was focusing dark energy. It wasn't that hard because of Jawn's ability to sense darkness. He thought of hitting his target as getting to the end of a path. Ussually Jawn is better at things when he metaphorically thinks of them as something else. He than saw a big rock in the way of the path. It was his obstacle. He had to move it or find a way around it.
He knew what the big rock really was. Metaphorically speaking, the punch was the big rock. He had to move it out of the path. The movements were blindingly fast. They had to be otherwise Jawn would've gotten hit by something. It started with a circular movement of the staff right in the front. Colliding head on with the punch it knocked it away so it didn't hit him. Step one was successful.
Than after that came the counterattack. This is where Jawn had to be fast and accurate. He took a simple step forward and kept his rotation of the staff going but doubled it's speed so it could hit in time. It would only go a half a circle in order for the plan to work correctly. Jawn swung it around in a half a circle as fast as he could and hit the wrist dead on. He had succeeded in step 2. Or so he thought. As he was doing this he made a mistake. He was too focused on speed and started step three while doing step 2.
While swinging his staff he put his leg up to his enemies gut for a kick. The moment he hit he did the kick and used it's momentum to jump back away from any oncoming hits. He had made the mistake of moving his leg too early. Which severly weakened the blow of the staff. He had hit hard enough to stop the concentration but he failed at one of his goals. He didn't manage to hit hard enough to break his wrist.
With this three step motion happening in about a second he was very unlikely of getting hit by retaliation. And now he had his distance as well meaning it's even less likely and now he can get ready again. The second he landed he put his gaurd back up and waited for a second attack. He had no time to waste, but if he went in for reckless attacks he would most definitely lose.
Max gathered water to himself, compressing it to stop the heartless' attacks, using his good arm to guide it. Whenever he found an opening, he would counterattack, but then he was right back to blocking attacks from the heartless.
Then, an Invisible burst into black mist with a flash of light. He let out a small sigh of relief as he saw Erika there, her guns pointed at the heartless' backs.
Then, he was forced to start blocking attacks again, using the water to rip Invisibles' weapons out of their hands and then slashing them with his pike.

Lyon hadn't felt any of the pain but he knew it was already mending. He raised the hand the energy was gathering in. He planned to do a surge but this would work.
"DARKRA!" Three orbs of pure darkness shot out of his hand intent on burning his skin. He dashed foward past the orbs and drew his sword slicing horizontally intent on cutting him in half through the stomach.

Jogging towards Max, Erika had her pistols load and shot the fellow Invisible to ensure that it will die soon instead of surviving an impact and go beserk. For a moment, she glanced at Jawn to see how he was holding up with Lyon. How much longer must he entertain him before their battle go out of hand?
Jawn no had no options. If he jumped out of the way to dodge the attack the Darkness would get him. If he blocked the attack the darkness would get him. If he took the time to evade the darkness Lyon would get him. He was out of options. He had no way of getting out of this one. Than suddenly he was recalled to what an old opponent of his had done once back in his teen days as a thug in agrahba.
He had fought this opponent and it was a very difficult fight. But only because his opponent threw off the attack pattern. Jawn knew exactly how to do this. Back then it seemed like something reckless and pointless too do, but now Jawn finally understood it.
Jawn had to not evade the hit. But take it on directly. And not just directly, but even closer. When Lyon had gone forward in front of the balls of darkness that were coming at him, Jawn had a chance. The slash was coming. It was horizontal so he couldn't side step it and keep dodging the darkness. And it was coming from upward or downward, meaning this was perfect. Jawn stepped forward right before the sword came at him horizantilly. Stepping to be extremely close to Lyon, the only thing that actually hit him was the handle of the blade and his opponents arm. Since he was so close to his opponent and his sword was reached out the way it was, Jawn had a chance.
Jawn knew this was probably unexpected action from himself. Meaning Lyon had probably been a little confused, but that wouldn't last long. He took the chance of seizing the opportunity and Grabbed Lyon by the shoulders. Grabbing him, he threw him right towards the orbs of darkness. This would get hurt of the orbs meaning another attack Jawn managed to avoid and hopefully, even though it's darkness and that's what Lyon uses, it would severly hurt his opponent too.
Jawn may have succeeded in his strategy, but unlike other strategies he's used, he still had getting hurt in the plan. It may not be as strong as a swinging sword, but to combination of Lyon's arm force and the handle of the blade still hit him in the side. With a big bruise on the side it put Jawn in pain. Jawn had been hit. If this simple hit hurt, and it was even weakened a lot, than he knew that if his opponent used something strong and it succeeded, Jawn's hopes were scarce. He had to get the old Lyon back, and he had to do it fast.
Max continued using his power to block and his spear to counterattack whenever possible, but he'd run out of room to back up, and there were at least 8 strong heartless left to deal with, and he had nowhere to go.
As the final trio of Invisibles rushed him, their swords outstretched and ready to run him through, Max used his power over water to create a shield around himself to blobck their attacks.
But that isn't what happened.
Shocked as his magic didn't act as commanded, Max watched as a powerful blast of water was sent at all of the heartless instead, knocking. All of them navk from him. But, it didn't stop there.
Oh, no, it wasn't done misbehaving. After beating the heartless back, it began drawing out as much water as possible from every readily available source nearby: it took water from plants, making them wily, it took it from the brooms' buckets. It gathered up a large amount of wate and, in the middle of that corridor, began forming a large blob of compressed water, and it was a very large blob that soon turned into large chunk of ice, and that was when Max was sure his Awakening had begun.
"Get down!" he yelled at Erika, knowing what was coming, running through the heartless to get to her, to warn her. To make sure she understood just how dangerous this was.
But, just as he reached her, the center of the compressed ice de-compressed explosively, shattering the large blob of ice into a million tiny, sharp fragments that could tear into someone and cause a great deal of damage.
At this point, Max only had a split second left to make a decision, and he made it on instincts. Having the instincts of a protector, he tossed himself in front of Erika, because there wasn't enough time for anything elsr, in his mind, to do.
As the shards of ice filled the hallway, they slammed into Max hard, cutting into his body, creating numerous shallow, but painful flesh wounds all over his body.
The ice shards also blanketed the heartless, who had been nearest the ice chunk when it exploded, turning them to black mist in a matter of moments.
As everything settled, Max just lay on the ground, bleeding and injured, groaning out in pain from his wounds.
((yes, Lyon and Jawn, this also affects you guys too, just to be clear. ;D lol ))

Lyon smiled as he was flying through the air towards his own spell. He twisted in the air and ran his sword along each one and they were dragged along with it before twisting again and slicing diagonally with the dark orbs continuing to head towards the mercenary along with a black wave of energy. His eyes widened when he saw the giant ball of ice, insticts kicking in he slipped his sheath into the spot on his belt and held the osafune defensively. In the next second it exploded in millions of shards of ice like diamond dust. He sent a burst of dark energy towards his muscles, they'd be sore but it wouldn't tear them like it did when he used his limit break. He began swinging his sword in a circle (if you need a good idea check DMC 3 Dante vs. Vergil (2nd inspiration for lyon) Cutscene) at an incredibly high speed causing the wind to whistle, when the ice storm ended he ran his sword along the ground laying down the many shards of ice that had gathered and formed a few solid chunks. The dark energy canceled and his arm was sore but still movable. Usually he couldn't feel pain but muscle pain was different.

Ready, Aim,....
Her mind was on track sending another meteroid bullet at the chest of the invisible.
"Bull's e-," normally Erika would be smirking happily, but a voice of panic cut her off causing a very confused look to cross her face.
"Get down!" It was so loud in her ear that she knew it was Max without any hesistation. Her head titled pressing her ear into her shoulder to stop the ringing, while turning to look at him.
"Dude, what in the wo-" Now her vision was blocked with his frame. Her brows furrowed skeptically; she was about to bark for reason until she saw his face. It held a pained expression. The sound of a shattering glass made her stiffen like a frightened deer. She could hear his breath hitch at every puncture as the blurs of ice caught the corner of her eye.
Y-you...IDIOT!!!! She wanted to scream; if she would've known a reflect barrier would've protected them, but instead he made himself the barrier. The ice explosion stopped, and he was now on the ground. Erika was almost in shock to respond, but her knees buckled causing her to fall to the floor next to him.
"Y-you," She frowned remembering lesson number one from good ole Granpa Wally: 'Being a pansy gets you no where', which would be followed by the whack on the head with his staff. "I'm getting you out of here, but first.."
Gripping his shoulders, she rolled him over, while muttering,"reflect." She hoped it will stay up against any oncoming attacks. Erika would rather give him a quick fix to feel less pain then forcing him to teleport, find a suitable spot, then healing. Removing her gloves with her teeth, she light touched his back letting the light to seep into his skin giving the wounds somewhat of a seal for the bleeding to cease.
Jawn had gotten a direct hit from Lyon's attack. He was too preoccupied looking at what was gooing on. He lost focus on his priority which was a big mistake. By the time he remembered his fight it was too late. He looked back towards Lyon and got a direct hit from the wave. It his him right on but didn't hit any vital spots. Knocking him back extremely hard it knocked the wind out of him and he dropped his staff and it went flying. He had absolutely no gaurd up when it came so it hit him full force.
When it his him it hit directly from his shoulder to his waist from one side to the other, going through his torso in a diagnol motion. He was shot back from the momentum. Since he was shot back he actually flew in through the wall but his weapons were blocking his back too. It ripped the strap holding his swords and they fell to the ground in the room he was now in. Since it shot him through the wall he had managed to evade the ice attack. So out of the two, Jawn actually got the better end of this bargain. His chest may be in extreme pain but he could still use his legs for movement and he might be able to move his arms swiftly.
Jawn slowly got up while in pain from the giant scar now on his body. He picked up his two blades that flew to the floor and walked back in through the big hole in the wall. The huge attack was now over, all the others were injured just as bad, if not more than he was. Well, maybe. Jawn held his two blades into position in a cross motion in front of his chest ready for another attack. He was keeping his gaurd there. Anything else hits there and he's down for the count. And he had to end this fight fast, he can't fight much longer with such a wound.
Standing in the entry to the whole watching the calmness of everyone. Seemed like all the heat of battle stopped at that moment. Either because Lyon thought Jawn was defeated or he was too hurt by the big attack. Jawn knew that the other Lyon might still be out, and regular Lyon could still not have surfaced. The only way was to make this demon lose control, anger is loss of control. When this beast is angry he can't think, and maybe Lyon can take control back. It was a risky move and might get Jawn killed but it was all he could do.
"Hey! Whatever happened to your almighty dark powers? going to be taken down by a little ice cube?"
He said in a calm manner. He was struggling to death not to stutter from the pain he himself was feeling. He even laughed histerically to hide it. If he could get this to work, it would probably kill him, but it just might save his liife...
Max shook his head slowly, trying to clear his mind. He felt his entire body throbbing painfully. He heard someone near him, and then felt them touch his wounds. He hissed a little in pain as they did so, he realized it was Erika. SHe was the only one it could be.
He turned his head slowly to look over at her, a small grin crossing his face.
"You okay?" he asked her, a weak chuckle escaping his lips,"next time I say to get down.........get down? It'll make things easier on both of us."
He laughed weakly and laid his head down on the floor with a small sigh, letting her heal his wounds.

"Hey! Whatever happened to your almighty dark powers? going to be taken down by a little ice cube?"
Lyon growled at this "Do not test me boy lest you wish to suffer more that you already are."
He sheathed his katana and started walking towards the older man and the girl. "Girl I suggest you work quickly, I would like to know what exactly that was." He chuckled darkly after saying this for once he may have an opponent worthy of his time. The soreness was starting to fade thanks to his healing factor.

"You idiot, you should be the last person asking that question. You just relax." Her hands illuminated with light as his wounds starting to seal away, and light caused the ice to melt away away. "We will be getting out of here so-"
"Girl I suggest you work quickly, I would like to know what exactly that was."
Her head turned swiftly with a hard cold glare. No one ever rushed her, and no one called her a blood girl. She's been a woman dammit for quite some bloody time, and she wasn't going to allow a mentally challenged schizo brat push her around.
"Actually I don't give a damn what you want to know, but I advise you to back the hell up because I'm not in the mood." She was in the mist of bring a friend back to a stable health after protecting her. If he hadn't, it would've been her on the ground, bleeding with the doubt that anyone would be able to heal her as instantly as she could.
Grabbing a pistol, Erika aimed at Lyon. "You know...I think I like Lyon better, because he would know that I will blow your kneecaps off with a second thought, but since you're irritating me I won't let Lyon suffer for pain strictly for you."
"Jawn are you going to get your little opponent before this shadow gets blinded by light. Although I would hate to do it, I'm agitated enough to do so." Patience was no longer a virtue, but an irritant,"No answer, well I'll make one now."
The tip of Elissa gleamed as the light started to accumulate at the center. Elissa called for the light in Erika's heart and the light from the heart of her world. Withing the safety of her dome, Lyon would suffer from light poisoning by a single beam of pure light.
Jawn was now pissed. It was one thing to beat him in a fight but to ignore him in a fight was a totally different thing. No more time for relaxation. He was pissed off and it was time to fight to the death but the only problem was. Either he or Lyon would die if it didn't end in time.
Being pissed he was much better a fighter than when in a good mood. He's not as reckless and he's extremely focused. And with the speed and quiet of a bandit he sprinted right behind lyon swords still out. Barely making a single sound he stopped right behind Lyon holding his swords, and completely ignoring Erika he was now focused on Lyon only. Only hoping Erika would have enough sense to get the injured man out, otherwise he could probably die.
"You turn your back on me in a fight and I can assure you that I will kick your ass"
he said watching intently. If Lyon took another step he would jump into action. If Lyon even moved he was gunna have a sword coming at him. Jawn was pissed, it wasn't about saving Lyon at all anymore, now it was about killing him.
Max grinned at Erika as she told hm to relax. He really couldn't ask for a better friend out here.
He was about to say something in return when Lyon came up, asking what had just happened. Max turned where he laid, watching the young boy stand there staring at them, and then turned his attention back to Erika as she threatened Lyon.
As she held out one of her guns, charging light in it, Max placed a hand on it, using what little strength he had to point it to the ground, shaking his head at Erika.
"No," he said to her quietly as he did this,"Let me deal with him. We have to use words right now. I doubt either of us can stop him the way he is now."
Then, Max grunted, bringing himself to a sitting position, wincing as pain lanced through his entire body.
"What that was, Lyon," he said, turning to look at the boy,"was the beginning of what is called an Awakening. It's where the true powers of the Elemental Mages of my homeworld is revealed. Some don't survive it, while others never even have to go through an Awakening. What I can tell you is it saps the strength right out of the Awakened, weakening them physically. Their Elemental Magic goes out of control, no longer truly obeying them. Sometimes you'll get what you want, others you won't even be trying to use them and they flare to life. It's a very dangerous process, but one that leaves the Awakened far more powerful than before."
He looked Lyon square in the eyes.
"If you want to fight me with this power, then I suggest you wait," he said,"you have a list for battle. I can see it. If you want to fight with a force to be reckoned with, then by all means, wait. Allow me to gain my strength back. There is nothing to be gained by killing a man who can barely sit up, am I right?"
He looked over as Jawn placed his sword's point at Lyon, and shook his head. Both of these guys were too eager to fight. If they'd been through what he had, they wouldn't be.
"Erika, let's go now," he said looking over at her,"I need a bed.......and sleep and water."

Lyon, continued to ignore the swordsman his attention focused on the warrior. As he heard what he said he had a look of grimace on his face. And sighed irritation thick within it.
"Very well, I shall let you have your rest, but I shall be expecting that fight at some point. As for now, I will let the weaker one come forth."
Lyon sat down, folded his legs, and closed his eyes, the evil aura toned down quite a bit before finally disappearing. Lyon opened his eyes once more, he had seen much of the fight through his eyes. He stood up once more and looked at the girl and warrior.
"He will be waiting, and so will I. Girl put down your guns, I am fine now. He says he will stay within until the time comes. He also expects you not to interfere in the fight between us, would that be fine with you?" Lyon spoke with apathy, he was himself once more.
