In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

There aren't enough praises in the world I'd like to give to wonderful coders for the Proboards community. The following have contributed to World Destiny in some way: W3 Schools for countless how-tos and countless of other souls who have helped get WD up to where it is.

I'm in agreement with Seph and CG, then. In this particular RP, I can't see it happening. One, I, like a lot of other people I know, would get confused as to what was going on and would spend longer reading the thread to make sure things were right than actually playing. Self contained works better here-- there's be too much chaos in those threads. And writing in them takes long enough as it is.
I can't see it happening either. I was surprised when Sephi said what he did... the way he said it almost implied that he was changing the style of threads... which, when an RP has had a certain style for a long period of time, suddenly changing it causes more problems than it solves. I'm not saying we should change to it at all. I may PREFER location style threads, but I just prefer things to be much more organized than they are here.
As for that "Chaos" you claim there'd be... you've probably got the wrong impression. They're set up to PREVENT that kind of chaos. If you leave, you mark where to. If you enter a thread, you mark where from. People can easily see the path you took. Things are done according to time, date, and location within the RP. The only problem is that certain plots and arcs travel from location to location.
That's why I said... you can choose a Centralized format - plot style threads, or you can choose an Organized format - location style threads. Both have pros and cons, and unless everyone is ready and wants to switch, doing a sudden switch will only lead to confusion.
That type of thing is already done by some members. However, not enough of them consider it necessary, as the in-character events already show that.
A question I do have... given that all threads now fall under the "plot thread" catergory, what reflection does that have on characters, who are only allowed to be in one plot thread at a time? Does that change in any way, or should it simply be considered "one thread at a time"?
...That is a good question, Rook. How are we supposed to go about this? I can understand one world at a time, but one of the benefits of the type of threads this RP employs is the ability to have your character involved in multiple activities. If they're all to be considered important as far as plot is concerned, then it kind of defeats the point.
Also, are we supposed to mark the different types of plots? And if so, how?
That is to say, the three types of plots being (at least, as far as this RP is concerned):
Global - having to do with the overall plot of the RP Local - a plot that deals only with the world it takes place in Character - a plot that is central to a certain character's development
and, should non-important plots be considered as well...
Casual - just a casual thread. Nothing important, has more to do with character intermingling than anything else.
These are three/four types of plots common to ALL RPs, but how are they to be handled/marked here?

Please go dig yourself a hole right now. And after you're finished? Bury yourself.
We've been getting along fine since the site started. We've gone through some rough patches, and we've made adjustments. And you think you can just waltz here and think that your words are going to change something? Do you honestly think you have good ideas?
I do not believe that Role is to blame for this, I have read several nasty comments to her and I have not heard ONCE from someone that was so rude to her to say sorry. Both of you I think take a look at each other's names for a thread and groan. Honestly, you want the hostility to stop, (Role, you too), then why don't you two start by just becoming friends. Start by, "Hey, nice idea, but I think that it just doesn't go as well as this one, still it was a good thought" It's not putting anyone down and it's not like you're saying "Hey, I hate it, next!" Can you two just get along? For the sake of the site? Please? *Puppy dog eyes*
Work as a team whether you like it or not. Don't like another member? Here's some news for you: YOUR DIFFERENCES WITH ANOTHER MEMBER ARE BETTER SOLVED IN PM THAN ON THE BOARD. WE SIMPLY HAVE MORE PRESSING MATTERS TO ATTEND TO RATHER THAN "OH NOES, BULLY!" Some of you may feel like you're being targeted by me. No, you are not. I would love it if everyone on this board stayed active and with us until life ultimately pulls us apart and sets us on our way.
For the sake of the site, stop complaining about every issue. Pick one of importance. Work on that issue, and on that issue ONLY. Flame me to hell and back, I don't care anymore. Take your best shot you keyboard warrior. For the rest of the good people here, think about what I've said.
...okay, really, Kaze, you made a lot of sense. And you totally pinpointed the reason why I don't join a lot of topics talking about site problems, because guess what? Nothing gets solved, it just leads towards more problems because members can't get over themselves enough to let someone else speak. Which was one of your points in this thread.
But anyway. Go Kaze! Down with drama!
O-O Above I must say is a fine example >> of what we don't need. I'm sure the few quotes I have is enough that I don't need to elaborate.
Also...reading is fundamental...perhaps..we should read what's going on...before posting
I I hope this assists. Again, please feel free to discuss anything here, but I'd appreciate if none of the discussion was turned to simple argument.
I'm sure we can conclude with inference that..any discussion that can lead to an agrument isn't wanted here either....READING AND COMPREHENSION IS GOOD FOR YOU! =D -------------------------- =o let the clarification...and "helpful and wanted criticism, statements, comment, concerns, and opinion commence~
u.u'' Oh yes,...with the Dark XII mission of Yen Sid Tower activated, we had a Yen Sid candidate waiting for staff critiquing, but that application is gone with the wind. Is there any staff member interested in participating?
Yes, I come off as very abrupt. I'd rather not hurt anyone's feelings here, so I believe this calls for an explanation.
Role, sure, some of your ideas would work on different sites. But here? We've gone through so much shit to please everyone, we really don't need help right now. Well, we do need help, but-...not in that way. Apologies for being abrupt. I've been here for a while, and I've dealt with; and ignored, far too much.
And Elaeus? I believe it would not be wise to question staff.

I don't understand. I didn't give out any ideas. I simply asked a question. You were too stupid to see it. Not my fault you're a moron. Perhaps next time, instead of bashing me, you could actually read my post, and answer my question?

Of course. I'm not just talking about the suggestions you've made here. There have been others. I'm just stating my opinion. I don't like them, nor will I ever like them. I don't like change, and people should know that by now. I deal with the changes I can't voice my opinion on, but I tend to post what I think when I do have an opinion.
And calling me an idiot and a moron? I appreciate it. So nice to bash a member that's been here since 2007, isn't it?
I don't want to start a flame war here. You may bash, ridicule, annoy, and flame me. But I'd rather you didn't.
Okay, I'll try it like this so that even a caveman can understand:
I agreed with Rook. Now then, universe ending connotations aside, I simply was asking how we're going to go about this.
Do you understand? I'm EXPANDING upon Rook's question. I'm asking whether or not there are still casual kinds of threads, and that IF there are, then how do we distinguish them? These are the known types, so do we mark them? If not, how do we know which is which?
Do you understand? Or do I need to make it a little simpler?

...I'd say something here, but Leon will yell at me. So I'll just PM it to you instead.

You're wonderful, you know that? Just wonderful. Now let me put this in words that even a caveman could understand;
I'm not referring to this thread on it's own.
I'm talking about every thread, every suggestion you've ever made. You ask far too many questions, and I hate to say...you're trying to change the site. I know you're trying hard, but we just don't need it right now.

So, you're one of those people, that when someone asks:
How do we make this site better?
That saying your honest opinion means that you should burn in hell? I mean, if you don't want the site to change, stop asking. Also, have you noticed that I got really pissed off once and said SCREW it, you can deal with your stupid problems yourself? Or did you not see that post? You know, how I got sick of how when EVERY TIME someone asked how to make the site better, and I answered, I got attacked for it?
Then you take a question, quote it out of context, make a post totally in left field, actually posting something that can be considered TROLLING, and then... you tell me not to incite flames?
Do you understand how hard I'm laughing right now?
You're telling me to stop something I already stopped doing. You quoted something totally irrelevant to what you were saying to tell me that, too. And then, you went all hypocrite on me.
How cute.
Seniority doesn't save you from senility, you know.

Do you honestly think I care? No matter what you say to me...All words. Just harmless little words.
I did not read that post, because I do not follow everything you do. Nor would I. I would have just left you be, if I didn't see you everywhere. Posting away, suggestion after suggestion.
Quite frankly, this is giving me a headache, and I have work.
And you're right. Seniority does not save me from senility. But it does save me from flames.
She is SIMPLY giving her opinion of how.to help the site! Is she trying to change the site? Yeah. But its not with malicious intent, and she's had to deal with JACKASSES like YOU since she got here, being attacked for just giving her opinion when members' opinions are asked for. So, lay OFF of her, pal, or I'll send a PM to Sephiroth to make SURE he sees that you're terrorizing a member with no real provocation. Role, you need to just start ignoring people like Zexion or else it'll turn into a flame war like this has. Just don't even pay attention to their posts. Ignore them COMPLEtELY.
Now, BOTH of you, cut this off NOW, or I'm going to make sure the staff knows about this, because they have asked REPEATEDLY for us to QUIT this.
Now, are both of you willing to be more mature about this and discuss this matter like MATURE people without attacking each other?
