In a cataclysm known as the Nightfall, the worlds were almost completely destroyed by a harrowing surge of darkness.
In the shadows of the ensuing chaos a new group has taken shape. Led by an Aegyl named Kalos, the 11th Hour touts an esoteric knowledge of how to combat the darkness and restore the worlds. They might be the worlds’ best chance at survival; but nobody really knows enough about them to confirm or deny their claims.
On the brink of collapse, the universe holds its breath in anticipation. Of restoration? Of destruction? It is up to individuals like yourself to decide.

Rook jumped just high enough to keep his feet off the arena floor, and aimed his hands at the ground again. "Guard Light!" It exploded underneath him and propelled him off to the side of the portal, narrowly avoiding the Torn Heaven's damaging wake.
Sliding to a stop and using a hand to balance himself, his reared back with his other arm, and in it formed the BlackJack Keyblade. Rook sneered, opened another dark portal on the ground, and ducked into it, reappearing above and in front of Lexaeus, where he dove for him, blade extended in a strike aimed for the Silent Hero's chest in this moment of him being unarmed.
He was using the budding darkness too much, he scolded himself. He was trying to beat this lumbering behemoth of a Nobody, and reaching too far down in his attempts. Largely, in that regard, Marluxia was winning this match, no matter what the outcome was for the participants, which only made the stakes that much greater for Rook.
Lexaeus expected as much from Rook. This child should prove to be an interesting opponent. Seeing Rook come out from another portal in front him, V made his Flare explode outward and push Rook away. Not much more time before Lexaeus would be at full strength. Not long at all.
Landing back on the ground V gave out a warning, "Rely on the darkness and it will surely claim you.....Rook." Making a twitch of his fingers Torn Heaven returned to it's master. Flare still towering above his head, Lexaeus awaited the next move.
"Rely on the darkness and it will surely claim you.....Rook."
The redhead smiled as he regained his footing and slid backwards a few feet after the Flare recouped his efforts of an offensive, "Can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs, right? And if giving in to the Darkness a little bit more is what will help me take down nothings like you and Marluxia, even that hotheaded Hades... how bad can it be?"
Rook was a twisted amalgamation of conflicting elements, and just like keeping a seesaw balanced so neither edge touched the ground, he was constantly attempting to keep the Light and Dark in him on equal grounds... though under Marluxia's orders, he had found that to be increasingly impossible.
BlackJack in hand he kicked forward again, springing alongside Lexaeus and bringing his knee to the man's gut and slashing out across his width with the Keyblade before taking a precautionary step back. He had brought a Darkside Heartless to his knees before. He could topple Lexaeus, so long as he kept distance.
The Flare slowly gaining in power Lexaeus drew Torn Heaven up to his mid-section and blocked Rook's knee but not the Keyblade fully. The weapon of light cut slightly into V's cloak but not drawing blood. Giving a slight grunt, Lexaeus was reminded of his fight with Riku. A skilled opponent he was, fluent moves, planned out tactics. Unlike Rook. Rook, seemed to improvising and using the same type of fighting he's used his entire life. Not a wise choice, if one is too become a better fighter, they can't rely on the same tactic. Lexaeus was about to prove this.
Giving a pushing motion with Torn Heaven, Lexaeus shoved Rook back slightly, if even a foot away. Lexaeus gave a slight kick to Torn Heaven and sent it spinning upward, but before it got too high V punched it and sent it flying at Rook. Reflex check.
if not for the fact that BlackJack was still held up, the tomahawk would have been decimating for Rook's cause. He managed to deflect the weapon, but not it's force, which sent him violently to the ground, sliding on his backside for well over four feet.
He climbed hazily to his feet and shook away the jumbled mess in his brain, reaiming his efforts on Lexaeus. He didn't attack though. He didn't do anything. He just took a moment to breathe and focus on his enemy in the moment. Then he grinned widely. A look of confidence and calm that belied his intent.
Lexaeus locked gazes with Rook as the red head got to his feet. V couldn't help but feel this child was holding back. Or maybe Lexaeus didn't realize that his own strength had increased exponentially. Flare extended upwards even more, towering 4 feet above Lexaeus. The Silent Hero will reach full strength soon. Then...well let's just say Marluxia will need another puppet.
"Why do you not strike? Do you fear me and the darkness I represent? Or is it you fear of your OWN darkness?" Lexaeus taunted as he twitched his fingers and Torn Heaven returned.
Rook chuckled a bit, loud enough to be heard, "Fear you and your darkness? Hahah, Lexeaus, you don't represent Darkness... You don't even represent the earth you wield... you're a Nobody. You're nothing. And I find it hard to fear 'nothing'."
He paced to the side, not even looking at the Silent Hero, "There was a time I was afraid of the dark... when I lived on a world that was swallowed whole by it. But I walked away from that, into my own light, and then into the hands of someone who wanted to show me both sides of that door. Light and dark. Something you can't comprehend, nor defeat."
He raised BlackJack once more, spun, and threw it with all of his might, aiming high with it. "Guard Light!" Another bright blast of Light, aimed low. As the attacks arced away from him, Rook planned his next moves based on which Lexaeus would allow happen: The keyblade to his head, or the Guard Light at his knees.
The fool. Using the same attack again and again. Fine, so be it. Lexaeus will no longer pull his punches. Narrowing his eyes and yelling at Rook as he pulled up a wall of rock from the arena above him.
"You ignorant fool!" The wall of rock flew up high and connecting with both attacks. The keyblade landed in it blade first and stuck into it while the Guard Light made a pretty decent impact crater in it. This is check. Pulling his fist back unseen behind the wall of stone Lexaeus drew his might into his fist and punched the wall and sent shards of it fly outwards. Pulling his fist back again he continued punching the all sending repeated chunks of it flying. Flare continued to grow as each punch grew stronger and stronger.
Rook smirked. Just what he was waiting for the lug to do. With the rocks creating a wealthy cone of forward damage, Lexaeus neglected one thing...
Resummoning BlackJack and leaping to the side, he disappeared into another dark portal, and reappeared above and behind, the keyblade held blade-down as he reared up and stabbed downward fiercely at the Nobodies back.
He let out a cry, looking down as he noticed one of the rock shards has torn through his shirt and left a decent gash in his abdomen. Coupled with his overuse of the dark powers he was not accustomed to abusing, he felt the air rush out of him momentarily while he hit the ground, another pang of tugs in his chest. He hadn't felt them this bad since just before BlackJack found him...
